      Exactly, like i dont often have a friend to work with. I do alot of tee work at the cage, and pitching there too, but money can be an issue

    Any tips on hitting spots on off speed pitches?

    Great video coach! Teach your pitchers to spot there fastball first and foremost! Yes you will need secondary pitches when you move up, but if you can put your fastball where you want you will be very very effective in getting batters out.First pitch strikes and the ability to spot your fastball your on your way.

    Hey coach, I have a 12 year old that just started playing last year and I have been watching your videos and trying to teach him mechanics on every aspect throwing to hitting. I am lost on his throwing. It’s real odd looking and not consistent. He is starting some pitching now and it’s going ok but I’m not sure how to fix his odd release or his follow thru mechanics. It’s been a struggle just to get him to not try and keep his back leg planted. He was just throwing and bending over real far and not letting his back leg come up or around any. Starting to fix that now but the over bending is making his pitches off. I have some slow motion vids of it. Can I send you one and maybe get some feed back on what or how I can fix this?

      Meant to say, "curve ball," but think you knew that. That was actually my plan ... at 14-15 years old. Thanks

    what size is your glove in this video? I just got my son what said it wasn an adult 11.5 Wilson a950 he is only 9 but it seems smaller than the one he had for the last 3 years. plus his mom is thinking its way too small too. LOL

    • @1320retro
      @1320retro 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      11.5 is perfect for him if he’s playing in the infield, I’m 14 and I still use 11.5

    • @KenAdams426
      @KenAdams426 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      perfect. he is a 2nd baseman.

    • @averyfabian9936
      @averyfabian9936 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah 11.5 is often the same size glove as the pros use in the infield.

    • @theonlyoned6409
      @theonlyoned6409 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends,see he is a 2nd baseman but different positions need a different size glove. My son is a third baseman and he uses a 11.75 but his coach is an ex pro ballplayer for the Royals and he let us know that.

      Some of the glove makers have models for younger players that have the same quality and size of adult gloves but the finger stalls are smaller for young players. You will have no trouble finding them on the internet. One that my son used was the Mizuno Classic Pro future - it had the same features of the Mizuno Classic Pro but was made for a smaller hand. They come in sizes from 11.25 to 12.00
