In regards to the accidental button press on the Apex Pro this is easily averted by just wearing the watch above the wrist joint a little, like I think you probably should for maximum HR reliability anyway.
Originally dead set to get the Pace 2 - great reviews everywhere. But... found out it lack navigation and feature sets that would be useful for hiking. So, I cash out an extra money for the Apex. Got the smaller 42 mm because I just want a device that is not bulky. Design wise - awesome. Looks expensive, feels luxurious. Battery life is awesome. Done with a 4 hours + GPS hike and it still has 90% battery. Tracking with GPS is highly accurate and fast. I love the crown system. So easy to navigate menus. And when a run/hike is done - it gave a very comprehensive report via the Coros app. Truly amazing. My only issue is the rarely mixed up heart rate sensor that reported lower number while my chest is thumping. Could have been a skin contact issue since it started to mess up when I reached a colder altitude. But happened very brieftly. If I want to nitpick another thing - screen brightness. Amazingly bright in the sunlight and good enough in the dark. But in between that - you sometimes wish you can set the brightness. No regrets.
What's the best features? I want one that can give me a good overall view on health and progress on my fitness as well as a good pacing or running power feedback to help me get the distances i want in the Times i want.
@@taxner i think the best features that i like is coros battery life. but it also come with altimeter barometer compas. it has triathlon mode even though its only 199 dollars. and lastly, one of the best manufacturers that give the best track running mode. for me if you want to monitor you health and fitness, polar is the best choice for you😬👍
What would you say is better (regardless of price perhaps) for a runner whose max run is 90 mins but runs on a track most days. I'm looking for a high-end good straightforward "track" watch if that makes sense?
Hey Carlos, if you don't want to spend a lot of money and not too fussed about the extra analysis features you get on the V, then the Pace should serve you well.
How is the heart rate accuracy on the Vertix compared to the Apex Pro? Any difference noted? Also, Vertix vs Fenix for heart rate? Obviously, a chest strap is the most accurate, but I prefer not to wear it during every run.
Just ran a 100-miler with the Pace 2 - still had 45 percent battery life at the end!
Nice work. How long did it take you?
@@TheRunTesters after 27 hours it was still 45 Percent - I’m amazed Garmin is so dominant when I typically can’t get mine past 11 hours -
@@TrailrunnerTroy did you use the ultra trac mode or normal?
@@coleperry1563 normal
@@coleperry1563 , I’m just beginning to look into buying one. What is. The difference between ultra trac mode and normal? Thank you.

Glad you've got a watch that's working well for you. That's a very happy thing indeed.
We love the APEX 42mm!

We think you'd love it!

VO2 Max of 75 ??? Nick, are you testing your watches on racing horses?
Haha I think we can take that number with a pinch of salt, Garmin being very generous
@@TheRunTesters pinch of salt or not, you have 3 lungs.
Hahaha!
Is the GPS accurate? Thank you 🙏
The GPS works great!
Très interessant, du coup je ne prends pas Coros Apex pro mais choisi Garmin 945

It largely depends on your budget, but the Coros Pace 2 is a great value option that has a nice track specific training feature in it
We agree about the PACE 2!
Coros pace 2 or vantage V? Just for running .. coming from a polar m200 but looking for something more accurate... thanks!!!
Hey Carlos, if you don't want to spend a lot of money and not too fussed about the extra analysis features you get on the V, then the Pace should serve you well.
which coros had music control?
The new COROS VERTIX 2!

Apex Vertix or Garmin 945?
Hey Jim, Mike here. Assume you mean Coros Vertix and we'd probably say 945 just on feature sets and what you get for your money.
apples and oranges... these two watches are completey different .... vertix vs fenix 6 pro saphire would be better ask
