I don’t think a lot of people know that they need to do this. I was one of those people. I am just now understanding why it’s needed , so not everyone knows. Everyone just hears all the youtubers say to like comment and subscribe, but don’t know why cause it’s usually not explained often. I finally understand. Maybe we need videos on how that works more to get the word out to people who don’t know .

@@leeshpooh I’m not sure if you meant the original commenter but mine is simple in terms of steps. I shampoo and condition followed by a henna gloss (henna that has soaked in aloe Vera juice for 4hrs and then mixed in my deep conditioner) and I sit under the steamer for 45min. I do chunky two strand twist and seal with oil that I “made”.
I have psoriasis so I mix neem oil in my conditioner every few weeks.

I usually pre-poo with coconut oil and detangle a few days before I wash my hair. It tangles and gets matted easily. I have thick, long, low porosity hair. Wash day feels like it takes ALL day...lol. I take breaks, eat, etc. But seriously with no breaks I would probably say it takes about 4hrs to wash, deep condition, detangle again, moisturize, and style my hair. Sometimes I need a day 2! I love your videos because you always bring the facts!!!

      @jalinajaycortesjalina4451 ปีที่แล้ว

Maybe you should pre poo the day 4b and put hair in braided ponytail, something you can quickly take out. Also. You want to put more coconut oil. Next day take it out the style and wash and put your deep conditioner in and do what you have to do around the house. I put a plastic bag on, heat up my hair and then put a hat on to contain the heat and iron clothes for work. Rinse out and put on my leave ins in sections while I'm sipping on wine and blasting my music. I definitely looked forward to hair day, mine is on Sundays. Once I saw the results, that was everything and made me keep going. Hope I was able to help.

Yes please do a video on decreasing the time of wash day. The longest process is detangling. Yes I prepoo, yes I detangle before washing, yes i wash in twist, yes I deep condition and then use a high-slip conditioner to detangle. I don't what else I can do. When my friends visit me on wash day, even they get exacerbated how long it takes!

I think finding ways to avoid the tangles will be the best solution if you’re doing everything else right. Avoiding product buildup, checking for split ends, sleeping with a silk pillow, avoid over manipulating the strands, keeping your hair tied up, avoid less than ideal weather. It’s gonna be difficult to do all that all the time though.

If I take shortcuts (which are steps that I really need to do but can stand to be delayed a week) I can get it done in an hour or less. If I do what I’m supposed to it’s around 2 hours, but can take up to 4 hours if I’m overhauling it😀 It’s not the time itself that I dread, it’s trying to get it done while trying to prevent the kids from fighting and breaking stuff 😅

I absolutely dread my wash days, the washing and conditioning is usually 2+ hours but then there's 2+ hours of stylinh. I have long, fine, very high density hair and it tangles so easily, especially on wash day. Pre-poos help a little with the tangling but they take so long to apply to my dry tangled hair. I'd rather go straight to the shampoo. I used to like doing my hair but it takes so long that I've been wearing protective styles just to avoid touching it.

Could have also been my fault though because maybe I did not properly detangle before using the product or maybe it's because I had to textures of hair relaxed and natural. However oh, I had had no problems with the two textures prior to using that product recommended at the beauty store. The hair was about shoulder blade length when transitioning. Maybe the length had something to do with it also but again never happened with any other shampoos. Now it probably takes me about 3 hours if I do a one-hour pre poo and playing nice music in the background keeps me going and distracted and I shampoo in a sink.

I hate wash days. I’m pre-pooing my hair right now while cleaning my bathrooms. I don’t know if I have low or high porosity hair. I moisturized my hair 2x this week with aloe vera juice and sealed with a shea butter mixture and today taking down my twist my hair was totally dry. I tried grease also still dry. But finding your channel is a blessing for since pre-pooing my hair I see less hair in the shower.

Try either the LCO or LOC method. That way your hydrating and moisturising in steps or her PMP method.

In terms of texture I prefer a lotion/slimy lotion texture. My hair is bleached and rinsed, so my hair is normal to high porosity and my hair is fine, average density.

Great video as usual. Looking forward to the low porosity product recommendation video. My washday takes about 3 hours if I don’t break in between to do anything ie, from pre poo to sealing in moisture.

I would say my wash day takes about 2 hours
About half an hour to wash, leave the conditioner in for about half an hour while I drink coffee
    Rinse, about 5-10 minutes
Moisturize and seal, about half an hour
So maybe a little over 2 hours
I enjoy it because my hair and scalp feel happy afterwards
Now, 2 days later?? 🙄, Dry again, so I have to remoisturize and seal again
Wash day feels the best for my high porosity hair🤷🏾‍♀️

I cut my wash day from 8 hours to 6 (includes styling) by one simple hack: Before I add product to my hair, I towel dry each section. I've found not only does the product absorb better in my hair, it's drastically cut down on the drying time. I air dry exclusively because I don't like adding heat or using the cool-air products (like Revair).

Loved the video! I'm Lp, I can't wait till your next video! I need new product ideas.
My wash day takes about 2 days the first day about 6 hours, I usually need to mix products up like my conditioner and my shampoo. I usually don't style till next day. I still do my six twist with my tea (witch hazel, green tea, sea moss or rose water), hair cream, splash of oil then tie it up with satin scarf or bonnet or both. Then next day wet it again if necessary ( rarely) then do cream, my diy growth oil, and a hair butter.
I'm currently working on adding grease in the mix. Depending on how my hair feels sometimes I'll seal it all with blue magic The blue one or the castor oil blue magic

I used to dread wash day until I returned to using Nioxin for my hair growth. My wash day used to last ALL DAY LONG! Now it’s only 2-3 hours max. That’s because I have cut out deep conditioning for a while. I will return to if after I done using Nioxin but not until then. I still use oil and moisturizer on my hair but nothing on my scalp.

My protective style wash day takes me 2 full days. My wash and go wash day takes 3 days (4days if you include drying time). My poor arms and back and wrinkled fingers... I have high porosity, high density, “4a” curls. I have an ayerVedic routine so even if I already have my products made and in the freezer is still takes me forever. God for bid I have to make new products that week. I generally leave my pre-poo Oil on overnight or if it’s during the day for several hours. then black soap and clay wash. Then protein treatment/ deep conditioner. then moisturizing treatment/deep conditioner. Then rinse out conditioner. Then rinse with bottled water. Then let it air dry to get the plain water out of my hair. Then re-drench my hair with a mix of aloe vera juice, aloe gel, and mucilage tea. then let that air dry a little bit. Then go in with my moisturizer and scalp oil. This is generally when I detangle with my fingers and a tangleteaser brush and twist into large sections. I let that dry for about a good 24 hours If I’m doing a wash and go. If I am putting my hair up in a protective style so I can wear wigs, then I let it dry for only about 1 to 3 hours. Then I go in with my Flax seed gel and hair growth oil with castor oil to seal everything in. If Im wearing a wash and go then I put my hair in clips so it can dry in a more elongated state. at this point I can let it air dry or use my diffuser or sit under the hooded dryer...but I feel that that dries my hair out too much so generally I let it air dry for a loooong time and then hit my roots with the diffuser when I can’t take it anymore. if I am wearing wigs, after I slather on the Flax seed gel and castor oil, I put it into Braided plaits at the root and twist the length of my hair because I feel that is the best way to flatten my roots and still protect my curl pattern. Braids have ruined my curl pattern in the past. This can literally take 3 days to dry so i try to hit it with the diffuser or go out in the sun for a while or go to bed with a silk scarf on and a towel on my pillow. I love the self-care aspect of wash day but it is such a huge chore that I usually dread it.

Then a bentonite/rhassoul clay wash (up to 1hr to apply and rinse out after 15min- but I will improve this soon. Deep conditioning mask with avocado banana n honey for up to 30 minutes under a bonnet dryer. Rinse then apply leave-in and style. Lastly, I may apply sea moss gel for curl definition. I told you, extensive
