Beth actually shifts her mood once she hears Morty say "EVERYTHING I SAY IS ALWAYS MET WITH AN EYEROLL." I don't think she's used to Morty actually articulating how he feels.
Also it was like he was directly calling her out, because she clearly wasn't taking him seriously until that point. She was probably mentally rolling her eyes, then heard that and went "oh shit".
I do Rick and Morty impressions and I can do a 10/10 Rick but occasionally I'll just cringe at how my Morty sounds, cause he actually has a much more voice cracks and range than Rick does. I feel like I just found a new ceiling for Mortys voice. If I can sound ANYTHING like his rant right here I will feel REALLY accomplished, because that was just *chefs kiss* Roiland REALLY makes sure that you know that Morty is going through some of the hardest distress he's ever gone through and it's coming from his mom.
I mean if she at least offered to take their place before saying that at least it would feel like she loves them but holy shit that was fucking cold and only summer looked the least bit concerned
There's a pretty messed up reason if you think about it. At the time Beth wanted Rick's love and attention since the moment he came back into her life. Instead Rick repeatedly involves Morty in his adventures instead of her. So you could make the argument that she resented Morty for easily getting what she wanted her whole life.
Morty's rant before he leaves the house really resonated with me. Everyone except Jerry has probably disregarded him and treated him like his opinions and comments are meaningless. They just see Morty as an errand boy or just play old useless. It was really refreshing to see him lash out like that, I got disappointed that Planetina ended up being a psycho at the end, but you know Morty learned a valuable lesson.
Honestly Jerry has adjusted to the psychosis of their life the most, and I think he realizes better than anyone in the family that Morty is mature and capable than even he is. He's just happy to know that Morty is willing to even confide in his parents as opposed to Summer who ignores them and seeks the same validation that Beth craves. Jerry learned after Morty had his child that trying to be right over being an understanding parent and keep some hypothetical high ground is shallow and vain. So it's better to just be present and feel loved by those he loves. He's realy learned after the Planet Fucking Event that his children need different courses. Morty is mature and more capable then literally anyone gives him credit. While Summer is so parasitic that she latches onto the biggest parasite in existence because she needs her life validated by someone who needs it more.
Season 5 overall was really developing for morty in terms of confidence and assertiveness. Not even Rick can push him around anymore. It’s so great to see.
For what it's worth, the episode seems to imply that Beth learned a valuable lesson too. This moment is probably what led her to act like a genuine mother at the end of the episode. I can imagine Beth is realizing just how neglected Morty has become after all this craziness happened. Her son kinda started growing up without her. I'm glad this moment is depicted as a humbling moment for Beth- no more eye rolls here. Not saying her behavior improved later on, but in the context of this story at least I can see the intent.
I mean in morty’s defense, that one episode where his mom had to choose between which of her kids would live and she chose summer so fast even the alien going to kill them was surprised… kinda with morty on this one
@@quartzskull8772 not sure what episode but it’s not even a full segment it’s like a 5 second scene and Rick comes in and interrupts it by killing the alien but we never get any further explanation like we are just supposed to forget about it
When Beth looked at the door to see if it would open back up, and it didn't, it really showed the emotional turmoil which I was incredibly proud of for this writing. I've learned that when someone cries without their voice breaking means that they are at their absolute emotional limit, Morty crying so much this episode is SURE to develop into something more.
When I reach the peak of my emotional breakdown. (Its really hard to really make me pass my limit) I become a death metal singer. My voice becomes the pits of hell with the strength of death in my voice
While it's nice seeing Beth FINALLY be a parent, it's rather rich she starts acting all concerned NOW after years of letting Rick drag her entire family into danger constantly for bare-minimum emotional validation.
the funny thing is, morty is actually way more mature than he was in earlier seasons. he’s more confident in himself, he can solve his own problems, he’s traveled around the universe, hell he buried himself and had to come to terms with it, which he successfully did. he’s a lot more mature than people give him credit for, especially at 14
To be entirely fair, if anyone in this show has matured, Morty has; he's constantly looking out for himself and others and even though he's anxious as shit, he's been able to literally kill people to keep shit in line.
Honestly Jerry has adjusted to the psychosis of their life the most, and I think he realizes better than anyone in the family that Morty is mature and capable than even he is. I certainly see him more of an adult than Planetina, she seems to be stuck in a rather simple world view...and gets violent when the world does not work the way she wants.
I think it’s so funny how Jerry says “What a romantic story about our son killing a room full of people.”. I think it’s even funnier how he then says “Your Turn!”, like he so invested in the board game, and just loses all concern, idk it’s just so hilarious to me 😂
I think that’s how he is going to survive now. He lost his family once by getting involved with family politics and won’t lose them again so Jerry just pretends the arguments aren’t happening because survival.
the moment morty starts yelling at beth, i love that she is at first upset with morty, but then start to feel horrible with herself for making morty feel that way.
Y’know, not to give Jerry more credit than he deserves, but I think he was probably the most rational person in that room at that moment. Beth is a terrible mother, and while this type of reaction would be completely normal in a normal environment, Morty and Beth both live with Rick. Jerry was more concerned that Morty mercilessly killed people with no remorse rather than being with Planetina because there’s no social pressure for anyone in that house to really abide by. If the entire family can break earths laws and travel inter dimensionally and do anything they want, why can’t Morty be together with Planetina? Jerry has probably accepted that fact instead of trying to reason with the madness anymore since its become clear nothing changes that there are no rules for them to stand by
Jerry is the only reasonable character. I’ve been saying this for months. A bit of a puss but then again when you go from regular joe to whatever the fuck mess Rick brought into there lives NOW his marriage is about to fail NOW he looks like a clown NOW he seems like a puss so on and so forth? Clearly jerry isn’t the problem since in every time line THERES also a Rick🙄.
Jerry is Everyman. I feel like the writers have scaled back their hate for Everyman a little, it definitely could seem contemptuous in previous seasons ( the show drawing the “high iq” crowd)
Honestly Jerry has adjusted to the psychosis of their life the most, and I think he realizes better than anyone in the family that Morty is mature and capable than even he is. @@sesereddead465 yeah idk if it’s just me but I really don’t like it when summer acts edgy, it feels like she’s trying too hard. Although maybe that’s the point
@@adamgriffith-smith9106 it feels like the only way to get respect on this show is to be an edgy nihilistic asshole who constantly calls other people out
Man, this episode was heartbreaking. We never really saw Morty in a serious romantic relationship before. He’s tried with Jessica but things keep screwing up. With Planetina he finally found someone he loved and who loved him back but she’s too extreme for him. Heartbreak is a painful part of growing up.
She wasn't too extreme for him. It's that she brought out the best in him. She made him want to be better and she believed in him. And he could do the same that was the foundation of the relationship. She changed it to by any means necessary which falls into morally gray which is essentially rick his mom and summer constantly. The fact that he wants to do better and be better because of planetina and that Beth didn't care was eye opening for Morty because that was the final straw. Sometimes even when something is good for you ya still want reassurance from those that you want to make proud. Not even a girl he could choose without making a mistake is what Morty is talking about. Planetina still loved Morty and Morty loved her. Relationships like this happen and can either strengthen the relationship and resolve in one another or break the relationship but they still grow as individuals. It just as easily could've gone. The miners get angry Morty is her voice of reason she calms down they cry together and move on. Or Morty, defending his girl gets angry and she has to calm him down from killing the miners. Which Morty can do by this time frame.
Jerry: what a romantic story about our son killing a room full of people Morty who’s killed people since the pilot and has almost wiped out entire civilisations: ._.
@@vicenteisaaclopezvaldez2450 Morty was pretty proud when he killed that annoying dude that wanted to read his script. Also there was all those purgers he killed gleefully.
@EmberXYZ That candy bar was purgenol free. (Purgenol is the aggressive stuff) Deep down, Morty is violent and messed up. Poor kid needs some serious help.
Honestly, Jerry is becoming more humanized than Beth as the show goes on. She's turning into her father, and it shows. Jerry shows concern for Morty's exposure to violence and murder, while Beth ignores it because she was neglected in the same way. She worries about Morty getting into a relationship, but not his life being threatened daily by her own father, when Morty has proved multiple times that he does not like going on adventures with Rick. Jerry and Morty are human characters.
@Miguel Messina not to make this political but I’m sure a dad would be fine with their teenage son landing a smoking 20 yo while it would not fly if the genders were reversed
@@turnipmanz1754 Nothing political about that homie, real talk though I think Jerry is happy to see his son happy for once, and I think he stays out of it because he wants to see Morty learn on his own if he gets in too deep like he did. I love how morty’s development isn’t necessarily becoming a better person, or making good choices, it’s about understanding himself, and how to express his feelings. Love that kid 👍🏻

Honestly she had that coming Mortys basically the typical character to get shit on in this show and the fact he acknowledged the fact he's someone who's done more than that is very impactful and he points out things that are very true and he deserved to let that out go morty
Morty said he's met 100s of people and Planetina is the only one who has made him feel like he *belonged* . So you could see how hurt he was, clutching at his chest like it hurt bad, when she went on a rampage. Her rampaging caused him to feel guilt, and once again he didn't feel like he belonged.
But at the same time if he really loves Planetina, he would accept her nature’s wrath side. He thinks nature is all flowers and sunshine, well hate to break it but Planetina’s rage symbolizes the wrathful side of nature

I don’t know if it’s a real one that actually exists but I can definitely see kids loving a game where you fill someone with food and then punch them in the stomach so they puke it back up.😁😂🤮
Bro Beth looking at the door and not seeing it open again probably gave her massive vibes and flashbacks to when Rick left. When he left, he probably slammed the door and she looked at it waiting for it to open again, and it didn’t but she didn’t run after him and asked him to come back. Once she realized the door wasn’t opening again, she knew she had to chase after him to get him back.
I loved Morty and Planetina's relationship. I hope she comes back in a future episode. It'd feel like a huge waste of potential if this was the only episode Planetina appears in.
@@rentacop7038 I mean technically as far as we know she’s still a toddler and whatever species she is years She’s clearly not human she’s basically the embodiment of the spirit of the planet and if she is as old as that would imply all humans are basically toddlers to her
Hey, Niekco, how did you make that superscript "--ok"? I know my phone can do it because it sometimes appears by accident, but I can't seem to produce it deliberately.
Ngl, I understand Morty. No one takes him seriously, everyone thinks he's weird, he finally finds someone who loves him for who he is, and his mom kicks her out. Beth does suck lol.
Yeah Morty has definitely reached his breaking point with Beth because he cares so much for Planetina but Beth had to ruin it for him which is not cool
What? Morty can’t just invite people to live with him. It’s Beth’s house. There’s not a parent in the world who would let their teenage son’s adult girlfriend suddenly move in.
Earlier Morty slammed the door multiple times showing how immature he was. But the realization that Morty won't open the door just shows Beth how serious Morty might be in running away like she did. The parallel in Beth's past and mortys was heart wrenching to see. Edit: everyone definitely noticed this small detail 😅
I like how the simple cut to the door helped emphasize the emotion of the scene. Like how earlier in the episode Morty was just purely disgruntled, so when exiting the house he wanted to SHOW he was mad, this slamming the door like an immature child. Now with an issue he deeply cares about, and after a quick lecture on how he doesn’t feel respected he sends a message by just leaving.
Planetina didn't leave after exiting the house. She was waiting for Morty to come out. She knew he would either make Beth let her back in or would leave the house along with her. The way they loved each other was so heartwarming...
Well, I'd argue that Planetina was actually less mature than Morty, no matter how old she may be. There's only so much growing up a person can do when they're created for a specific purpose and only come out when they're needed. Morty was the one with power in their dynamic in my opinion. He made all the major decisions about their relationship. He started it and he ended it. If Planetina was a true groomer she would have tried to manipulate Morty way more. I definitely agree that this relationship wasn't healthy on multiple levels, but Morty's been through so much it honestly doesn't even register as a bad thing for him anymore.
Ye, Beth’s not even wrong here Its weird af, planetina even used the “mature for his age” kinda excuses that groomers use Yeah, morty’s right that she screwed up and got pregnant when she was 17, and her defense for that is shoddy af But like??? Just because she fucked up, doesn’t mean she needs to/wants to see her kids make the same mistake Before the last season, I genuinely didn’t like beth much compared jerry, genuinely is cool seeing her grow and put her foot down and constantly try to be an active person in her kids life

But in a sort of since he is right, besides Jerry: Beth, Summer, and especially Rick make Morty feel like crap in his own house. No wonder he feels so alone and isolated.
damn that speech of Morty’s near the end of this clip….damn. By making Morty aware of the fact that he operates as the butt of the joke, they’ve turned him into quite the tragic figure. I think what might happen is that Morty will get so fed up that he’ll move into the citadel, under the watchful eye of Evil Morty, given how he promised that his citadel would treat Mortys right.
I little detail is how Beth changes her posture while Morty gives the final speech, since she knows how that feel and can sympathize, which leads her to disarm the posture of "denial of idea" to a more approaching conversation.
I think it stems from her realizing she is taking her own shortcoming on love out on Morty and Summer. Remember the dating app episode where she chased summer around trying to stop her from meeting her true love, she is having the same type disapproving trying to hit the breaks. You have to remember Beth was 34 years old before she realized she actually loves Jerry and that took an existential crisis.
1:19, that rant is my favorite moment from this show, it felt like four seasons built up to that moment, not just this episode. Also can't image Roiland saying it
"I never fit in anywhere. Everytime I talk it's met with an eyeroll as if listening to what I have to say is some exhausting chore" Damn, that line hit me hard. It brought me back to the teenage period of my life where I felt the same. Feeling the need to crack a joke and make someone laugh so that your presence is justified and liked.
I mean most of us like Planetina and wanted Morty to get some. But no sane person could fault Beth from protecting her 14 yo child from dating someone in her mid-20s. Any parent would do the same.
There is a pretty fair point I saw someone else make that she wasn't manifested 24/7 though since the early 90s. So in terms of how long she was actually alive/conscious it's anyone's guess
@Leon Russell I think they mean if planetina was 20-30 in the 90s, then she would be 30 years older. My opinion is that she’s more like a genie in the bottle kind of existence and doesn’t have a physical age. She’s definitely mentally an adult though, and her relationship with Morty was super not okay.
This scene had me busting in tears for Morty. Listening him share his feelings of being unworthy, undervalue and constantly disrespected or ignore in the family eye hit hard especially being so close to home. Since I the black sheep compared to my siblings being the golden children I can relate so hard what morty is saying. It’s sucks being constantly underestimate especially when your family. Then finally to found someone who see something worthy in you when no else see but leave is worser.
It's just a dumb cartoon & he didn't even have a place or job of his own to keep her. He lived for 14 years & talked like it was a lifespan. Typical teenager underdeveloped mind that doesn't have the brain capacity for long term decisions & lives in the present. The house wasn't even his, to decide who moves in. I just see a drama queen.
I feel like this season is showing how Morty and Summer are turning into Rick. Like they are Ricks "back story." Can't wait to see how the rest of it goes.
I keep hearing how at the end there going to reveal Marty as Rick but I personally agree whit them mostly Morty fallowing in his footsteps but in a better way olso I’m scared there going to make morty kill rick
I feel this is just the theme of the show. Everyone gets affected by Rick's constant cynicism that slowly turns the seemingly normal family into terrible people. Even Jerry is affected, he can be extremely selfish and cold to his family even though that's used as a joke.
I love how Jerry is actually nice to Planetina. I think Beth just overreacted, cause at the end of the day, what made Morty break up with Planetina weren't Beth's words, but when he saw how Planetina really is like when freed from her shackles. I think the actual important part of growing up as a teen is realizing by yourself if, and how a relationship isn't good for you, not by your parent's advice. Also, I relate to this whole thing way too much lol
And I think even before this lesson Morty was more of an adult than Planetina, so her words about that do ring true to me, even if she maybe didn´t see it.
@@ducamorisable Fair enough, but you have to admit that woukd piss you off if someone said they were more mature than you cause of their gender, despite being the same age.
I feel like Morty was at least partly justified in his tirade. So often his family just writes off anything he has to say even though he has seen and experienced more then either one of his parents.
Mid-20s? She's likely existed for only a few years seeing as how she's not a Human, she's a conceptual being. If anything, she's younger than Morty with the mentality of a sheltered child.
She's been summoned since the 90's so, she's 21 at the least and 31 at the most. And that ignores that when she's summoned she's already in adult form, presumably, with adult-level intelligence so she's prob technically even older.
@@anubis7457 It's not only about intelligence, sexual development is a factor too, to put it shortly, morty's brain is nowhere near as grown as it needs to be, to be making those sort of decisions, it's clear he thinks he's older than he really is.
@@anubis7457 Technically, she has no age, she is a conceptual being. Her lifeline exists in a time capsule, existing as long as the Planet does and is directly connected to it however that may or may not have been removed since logically, she'd have been gone berserk at the pain she'd endure from environmental damage. Meaning you'd only be able to account for her "aging" at all in relation to how long she acted after being created, seeing as how before her liberation she could only appear once the Tinateers Rings created her. As for her mental state, she has at times shown to have a basic mentality, almost as if most of what she knows came from the bygone eras. Add to that her being sheltered, used as an item essentially for publicity so she likely only way let out to serve a purpose and then put away again before Morty.
The fact that the camera stays on the door like it was going to come back to the bit of him slamming the door over and over makes you realize that Morty is completely serious about his position and he isn't angry with his mom out of spite or pettiness like before. This time it was all passion.
Yeah but his mom is in the right to be concerned. He is still fourteen with being that seems to be biologically and chronologically. If this was live action and she wasn’t made of elements be a lot creepier. Hell her lack of maturity and understanding could make it even more so
@@WeavileLady yeah I'm surprised he hasn't aged one but. Like became 15 years old. But I guess some weird un-aging thing by rick. Like the kid has been exposed to all sorts of stuff. @@zcgamerandreacts2762 Nah it isnt anything done by rick. Likely just cartoon logic. Spongebob has been here for like 20 or 30+ years. Yet he never ages because it's easier to keep an Iconic character like spongebob looking the exact same because of the nostalgia behind him. If the writers wanted too, they *could* have Rick explain why they dont age. But really it's because it's easier to leave it as is. Not to mention, there are tons of different ways they can go about a character aging. One way is character development. Which they have been doing for tons of characters. Morty's character development(Growing more Mature and resenting Rick more and more) is one way to show his character is growing older. But creating a new design for him or randomly throwing in a random moment stating his age is kind of jarring and confusing to the audience.

This episode really missed out on using Jerry as a parental figure. I get that they wanted to use Beth to be more motherly towards Morty but seems like Jerry would be the better one to comfort his son since he's the one who has faced the brunt of breakups in relationships and was the one who did get along with Tina whereas Beth has only been cynical towards Morty.
I think it would be better to see Jerry and Summer repair their relationship. Summer spending so much time with Rick is making her super hostile towards him.
Nah i feel like focusing on the relationship between Beth and Morty is better since Jerry and Morty's relationship doesn't have that much conflict. Although it would be cool to see a episode about Summer and Jerry bonding
I think this definitely has to be my favorite episode of Rick and Morty so far over all of the episodes they've put out in all of their seasons. It's such a relatable series of emotions and symbolic events that Morty went through and it's nearly an exact 1 to 1 ratio of how I felt in my first high school relationship. I like how this episode changed it up and tugged at your heart a little more rather than just trying to make you laugh like most other episodes.
I felt Morty's argument against Beth. He is taken for granted and he has the biggest heart in the entire show. He deserves someone to love and appreciate him.
When Beth said that Morty is just 14 it gave me whiplash. How has it been 5 seasons and we're meant to believe that everything we've seen happened in less than one year? Especially considering that in Mort Dinner Rick Andre Morty says that because of Rick asking him to do things he "hasn't been to a full week of school in *years*", but Rick only entered Morty's life in season 1, so what is happening ESPECIALLY ALSO since in season 1's Close Rick-Counters of the Rick Kind Beth states that it's been one year since Rick came back to the Smith household so what gives?
couple of options, we may have been following different rick and mortys through the seasons, it has happened before But my personal theory is that Beth is just a TERRIBLE mum lmao
It's cartoon/comic rules. Life goes on but somehow everyone is stuck at the exact same age. If it wasn't for that Maggie Simpson would be working off her student loans by now.
They probably left in a timeline where there adventures barely started for example when they left their original dimension due to the potion that Rick gives to morty that turns there world into a bug infested earth
Not to mention the dudes right he has been all over the universe and definitely hundreds of close calls nearly getting killed I say he has gained some knowledge Plus didn't he had sex with a robot at one point I'm pretty sure the dudes no longer a virgin
"Planetina is the only one I've ever met that makes me feel like I belong" Anyone else remember Jessica? From the episode where Morty had the ability to reset time? He even stopped using it for a really long time because of her. Ouch....
I really liked this episode, it has good writing and character development. The ongoing theme of Morty not able to have a stable relationship with a girl makes me sad. It always turns out bad for him. I really. Hope that Planetina will change her ways and become less violent; that scene were she curses out Morty just gets to me. Season 5 of Rick and Morty is an awsome and sardonic season.
I don’t think she will, cuz she’s kinda one with the planet and will put the planet before the humans who destroy it. And considering how he broke her heart, she might not forgive him
Its not just relationships I think its just happiness in general Only i think this time hurt morty the most because it wasnt rick who went in and fucked things up for him
Even if he is 14, to this point Morty has proven that he is capable of taking care of him self. The kid has survived a lot of weird shit, and is still somewhat sane. Besides, Beth has demonstrated through the seasons that she is a horrible parent. She is selfish and doesn't really love Morty (she picked Summer over Morty without any hesitation or regret when she had to chose which one could live).
Lil dude has probably saved the universe dozens of times, killed untold thousands of aliens and has seen the void beyond reality. Honestly he deserved a bit of love.
I was dying when beth and morty told jerry to shut up and sat right back in his seat.😅😅 And not to mention he was cheating in the board game while they were arguing.😂😂👏👏
I understand Beth wanting to protect Morty considering Planetinas age, but she's a terrible mom, and has never tried to protect him before. I honestly loved this scene
I feel for Morty He has always been disrespected By his Grandfather His Sister And has had to go through some really dark stuff He had traveled the universe and found one person who truly respects him
Yeah I don't really get it either, the Rick and Morty adventures seemed to have started in the beginning of the series since Morty knew nothing and didn't even realise rick built a spaceship out of trash, and in season 5 you hear him say that he hasn't been to a full week of school in years (bc of rick) I guess this episode probably just retconned it
He’s a cartoon character, he will remain 14 for the entire show. What difference would it make whether he was 16 here or 14?? If he aged normally he’d be in his 20s right now.
Because she is not a human, she never interacts with humans for long. Before Morty set her free, she only exists when her 'children' summon her. She was a bunch of elements that form her into a 'superhero'. And before that, she was under control by her 'kids'. Which she only shows up, when they want her to show up, that is why we don't see her go on ape shit and killing spree people because of that. But since she is free, her will is free so she went full-on ape shit killing spree because no one stopping her as well as her love for Morty getting bigger and bigger and that the goal to make better earth for Morty and she turned her into radical ape shit.
I mean... Morty also killed them in cold blood without any kind of real emotional reaction. Dude straight up didn't care. That's not normal at all either and I like the fact that Jerry brought that up.
"All my life I've never fit in anywhere. Everything I have to say is always met with an eyeroll as if the act of hearing what I have to say is some exhausting chore. if planetina moved in, eventually she would get mad at rick for doing somethin banal like putting garbage in the wrong place or something not environmentally friendly, go berserk and rick would need to put her down😅
Rick is good with prep, however his physicals would have him get trashed pretty easily, I don't think that he'd be able to handle a Planetina going full berserk no more than he could a Supernova.
I love how Morty this season has no problem calling people out and standing up for himself. He stood up to Rick when he wanted to have a date night with Jessica, told his mom off here and than summer. Also love the line "she will come crying back and you'll accept it" during the 7th episode.
"Everything I say Is always met with an eye roll. As if the act of hearing what I have to say is some exhausting chore." It's crazy to see how Morty has evolved throughout the show.

Man, this episode was heartbreaking. We never really saw Morty in a serious romantic relationship before. He’s tried with Jessica but things keep screwing up. With Planetina he finally found someone he loved and who loved him back but she’s too extreme for him. Heartbreak is a painful part of growing up.
His only healthy relationship was in the vat of acid episode. But Jerry accidentaly made it so that she didnt remember it, only morty did.
Why is Planetina not as ethical as Captain Planet? The answer is simple: she lacks heart.
Jerry: what a romantic story about our son killing a room full of people
Morty who’s killed people since the pilot and has almost wiped out entire civilisations: ._.

I think it stems from her realizing she is taking her own shortcoming on love out on Morty and Summer. I mean most of us like Planetina and wanted Morty to get some. But no sane person could fault Beth from protecting her 14 yo child from dating someone in her mid-20s. Any parent would do the same.
Lol try mid fifties to sixties her kids were at least 30 year old if not older.
@Leon Russell read what dalton said i don’t think a rational person would thing she was born in the 90s

I feel like they are growing into their own person. It's unlikely that they are Rick because they are literally the children of Rick's child.
I feel this is just the theme of the show. Everyone gets affected by Rick's constant cynicism that slowly turns the seemingly normal family into terrible people. Even Jerry is affected, he can be extremely selfish and cold to his family even though that's used as a joke.
He already has and has tried to kill rick.

Morty is an idiot.
And I think even before this lesson Morty was more of an adult than Planetina, so her words about that do ring true to me, even if she maybe didn´t see it.

I feel bad for Morty about Planetina but she’s technically is in her mid-20s and she looks like it too. Their romance was weird but entertaining
@@anubis7457
It's not only about intelligence, sexual development is a factor too, to put it shortly, morty's brain is nowhere near as grown as it needs to be, to be making those sort of decisions, it's clear he thinks he's older than he really is.
Add to that her being sheltered, used as an item essentially for publicity so she likely only way let out to serve a purpose and then put away again before Morty.
there must be an alternate universe where morty and planetina are the opposite gender which would make this situation look SOOOO much worst
The fact that the camera stays on the door like it was going to come back to the bit of him slamming the door over and over makes you realize that Morty is completely serious about his position and he isn't angry with his mom out of spite or pettiness like before. This time it was all passion.
It's sad that Jerry just wanted a normal family and to live a normal life and now he just doesn't even try to argue anymore
I love how she wasn't wrong when calling him mature. He was the one to end the relationship.

Like the kid has been exposed to all sorts of stuff.
Strip clubs, genocide, death and lots of guts and blood along with it some nudity and plenty more. He is becoming mature. Just doesn't look older.

I hoped for him to be in the final scene too.

When Beth said that Morty is just 14 it gave me whiplash. How has it been 5 seasons and we're meant to believe that everything we've seen happened in less than one year?
Especially considering that in Mort Dinner Rick Andre Morty says that because of Rick asking him to do things he "hasn't been to a full week of school in *years*", but Rick only entered Morty's life in season 1, so what is happening

Morty snapping at his parents is probably one of the most powerful scenes in this show
The fact that Planetina didn’t show any concern or remorse when Morty told her he killed her “kids” was a red flag that she was unstable
Because they were profiting off of her and were going to sell her
Because she is not a human, she never interacts with humans for long. But since she is free, her will is free so she went full-on ape shit killing spree because no one stopping her as well as her love for Morty getting bigger and bigger and that the goal to make better earth for Morty and she turned her into radical ape shit.

if planetina moved in, eventually she would get mad at rick for doing somethin banal like putting garbage in the wrong place or something not environmentally friendly, go berserk and rick would need to put her down😅
Isn't he busy dealing with Nimbus tho?
Nah, Rick is very environmental friendly, he put a bottle in the recycling bin when it was in the trash.
Rick is good with prep, however his physicals would have him get trashed pretty easily, I don't think that he'd be able to handle a Planetina going full berserk no more than he could a Supernova.
rick would teleport the family trash directly on her natal planet but he would keep it secret lol
I love how Morty this season has no problem calling people out and standing up for himself. He stood up to Rick when he wanted to have a date night with Jessica, told his mom off here and than summer. Also love the line "she will come crying back and you'll accept it" during the 7th episode.
