Anybody else been held back by anxiety too? I always think people are going to judge me when i go to the gym like what is she even doing or whatever and it psyches me out everytime. But i promised myself i will go before this month ends ans start this journey bc i deserve it
Have you started?? I recently started and tbh I would get nervous that other people would judge me but then I realized I shouldn’t get Nervous. I’m there to better myself, so I’m not gonna let other people bring me down. Just have that idgaf mindset!!
I would always put it off because I was anxious about going in there. The moment I started working out it was like I was in my own zone and I didn’t pay attention to anyone around me. So assume that everyone is doing the same
Had the same issue. But then i remember... We do t laugh at patients in the hospital when they need help. If someone judges me when i am trying to get better... Thats on them.
Yes. This makes me nervous too going into a completely new environment that is out of my comfort zone. Especially since I won’t know how to do anything lol
Go with a friend! I started with a friend who explained simple things and showed me how to work on those machines. That eased 90% of my anxiety. Also just know that most people who actually know what they’re doing, are the least likely to look at you. They’re busy doing their own things!

Looking for workouts for my wife who played soccer in HS(she’s now in her thirties) but never tried weight training. I’ve been going to the gym on and off for the past 8 years, but now a new work schedule and children have prevented me from going to the gym consistently since early July 2022. I want to start a fitness journey but super nervous about it. I’m a complete beginner, always low energy and not balanced well lol. My goals are to gain weight everywhere and I’m worried that would be weird to explain to the gym to figure out what workouts to do. I’m worried about going there alone for the first time and getting started. With all the other people around. But part of me still wants to try and get out of my comfort zone and start looking and feeling better. 😊

I just moved house and the only viable gym near me is full of people my age as there are 3 sixth forms/colleges near by (I’m 17) and some people there can be a bit .. judgemental. Does anyone have any advice for gym anxiety??
Im a 14, 5’2, 160 pound girl and I want to get skinnier, but I do want to keep my chest size and thigh+bottom size idk if that’s possible. im starting my gym day once my parents help me schedule when im not busy. I get called weak and my grandparents tell me to eat less (I only eat 1 maybeb2 meals a day)! I need help someoneee 😭😭
Don't beat up yourself too much you're 14 .I was almost the same weight at that age but I just worked on my diet plus studies got me worked up then I got my glow up. Don't let your family make you feel insecure, but its nice that your taking the initiative to make sure your body is healthy! Go girl💕
I make sure I stay 6 feet away from others as much as possible. Wear your mask the whole time and stay away from people who aren’t. Sanitize all the equipment you use before and after you use it, make sure you wash your hands before you leave and again when you get home. Shower when you get home and clean the clothes you used. That’s what I do! Hope that helps
i don’t know how to start my diet off idk what to eat idk if i should do calorie deficit. i want to better myself but what stresses me out is idk where or how to start
@@riddhidugar867 So I'm currently 55kg and I've been trying to maintain it for a month and so far I've been successful at it. Also, I realized that I was in a calorie deficit for like too long 8 months which is VERY unhealthy and my intake was very low like 1500 kcals( and I wasn't losing weight ) so I've been trying to get my intake to 2200 kcals(according to my body weight/activitylevel/etc). So I'm adding around 80 to 100 cals more to my diet per week(sort of like reverse dieting but the difference is that I don't track calories) Since then I haven't lost any weight but I eat more basically. But istg this shit is sooo stressful like because I just feel soo alone and confused oof

I have spinal fusion surgery in five weeks, I dance three times a week and walk the same but I'm wanting to get stronger, I know I should have started sooner but better late then never right? I'm not expecting to get any crazy results but hopefully I can strengthen my core and legs prior to surgery.

There’s no right or wrong way to start! Some people start with nutrition first, while others start with exercising first-start with whatever works best for you and where you feel most comfortable! 🙌🏼 As you learn and grow more comfortable in that area, add on another step to take on and focus on. Take your time and don’t sweat the small stuff! Before you know it, you’ll be a pro. Just one small step at a time. Don’t worry about knowing it all from the start. You got this! ❤️🙌🏼

How do you choose the right weight with gym machines??
I always recommend starting with the lightest weight possible & then increasing the weight once you can do 12-15 reps comfortably with good form! ☺️

@@riddhidugar867 So I'm currently 55kg and I've been trying to maintain it for a month and so far I've been successful at it. Also, I realized that I was in a calorie deficit for like too long 8 months which is VERY unhealthy and my intake was very low like 1500 kcals( and I wasn't losing weight ) so I've been trying to get my intake to 2200 kcals(according to my body weight/activitylevel/etc). So I'm adding around 80 to 100 cals more to my diet per week(sort of like reverse dieting but the difference is that I don't track calories) Since then I haven't lost any weight but I eat more basically. But istg this shit is sooo stressful like because I just feel soo alone and confused oof
@@aah-nanana7341 I lost 30 kgs and am very unhealthy cause I cut my calories too low . Have an Ed now but working with a nutrionist we can do this

I have spinal fusion surgery in five weeks, I dance three times a week and walk the same but I'm wanting to get stronger, I know I should have started sooner but better late then never right? I'm not expecting to get any crazy results but hopefully I can strengthen my core and legs prior to surgery.

There’s no right or wrong way to start! Some people start with nutrition first, while others start with exercising first-start with whatever works best for you and where you feel most comfortable! 🙌🏼 As you learn and grow more comfortable in that area, add on another step to take on and focus on. Take your time and don’t sweat the small stuff! Before you know it, you’ll be a pro. Just one small step at a time. Don’t worry about knowing it all from the start. You got this! ❤️🙌🏼
