@@Omegawerewolfx - You can usually go over bumps and cracks when you're going faster And you can also brace yourself, but it's just muscle memory so easier to do it than to explain it
You Ride to Slow, if you speed up to like 10 mph at all times, you will glide over most of the stuff you mention, But, if you drop your wheels in a gully it hurts, lol.
@1:41 You install RUBBER Risers between the trucks and the deck, to smooth out those bumps, and protect the board better, from sidewalk impact. Also you don't go full speed on a sidewalk either! [Sometimes you don't have a choice in using the sidewalk, and part of my daily commute to work and back, involves going on sidewalk for 1/8th of the distance.]
Try putting your weight on your back foot, hit cracks at angles, or shift your weight with the flex/crack. You're welcome. Learn how to fall. (pro tip: roll)
Ludvig Hedin i put my weight on my back foot when im accelerating and i put my weight on my front foot when im deccelerating, when im just cruising i just put my weight onto both foots🤷🏼♂️
I started with a boosted board but I now ride an evolve with offroad wheels which will go over any cracks even sidewalks no problem also use locktight on bolts and they wont unscrew from riding sidewalks and will do 20 miles or more with these wheels also a little slower like 20-25mph with offroad wheels
I had never skated before but bought a V1 to commute after moving to the east coast, and to all absolute beginners: WEAR A HELMET AND ELBOW PADS. This thing will rock you off your feet. It's absolutely crazy fast, and you will fall. I didn't wear either when I fell my first time and it was absolutely not worth the agony that is called road rash.
The standard range doesn’t do great in the cold. Extended is better I would say double of standard. Keep in mind extended has 150% more power than standard. I use it in heavy rain, snow, any condition really. I still need to get to places.
Recently I fractured my elbow learning to skate at 25. Now that I'm recovered, was thinking to buy one. Is there any learning curve for this? I found it difficulty to push and balance on one leg on a normal skateboard.
depends..if you have the standard range battery then i reccomend taking out the battery and checking in your board as checked baggage(if they ask just say its a normal skateboard or they may take it) and carry on the battery,if u have the extended range battery then you do the same thing except you cannot take the battery on board..you will have to ship it to ypur destination. hope it helps🙃
I don’t think so. It’s been over a year since I’ve used the stock boosted belts though. If you have the new Boosted stealth, the metal pulleys are suppose to make less noise.
I think tip number one only applies to beginner skaters/longboarders, if you have some experienced on a board you will have no problem with cracks and bumps in the road.
Dude you can get over the cracks and pine cones u just have to place ur feet in the right spot and keep ur knees bent avoid them If u can tho because it's a pain to have to get new stuff when u have to replace
The wheels is just designed for flat surface ,thats why youll fly of you hit a deep bump, but if they give you an option to change it to an outdoor large wheels ,it will better and safer...
Great review! I saw this guy in town ripping up a hill on a long board, gliding effortlessly! I’d never seen a battery operated skate board before. So, I was tripping. I’d love to try one before buying. Maybe someone in town will add them to their rental department. Lol, that’d be a nightmare I’m sure. Stay safe.
Your front foot is riding riiiiight over the front wheel. You're gonna get wheel bite if you already haven't. If you're approaching a crack, transfer your weight to the back foot, jump 1/2 an inch and your board will pop up a little and you'll go right over it.
If you’re out and need to recharge the board.. like.. where do you recharge it? I find it’s pretty common to charge your phone on a USB port at a Starbucks or so, but idk how employees or people would look at me if I plug in my long ass board into their outlet. Hahaha just curious
I find that most Starbucks employees don't care globally. I think the mantra is that they want people to treat it like it's their home. It's a place to relax, have a cup of coffee. Sometimes to find shelter when it's freezing cold outside. Starbucks is literally the best for charging the board globally. That said, with the new extended battery I don't really need to charge it outside anymore! Also it doesn't charge on USB. You need a full on wall adapter. =)
The first reason is not true because I know some people who own it and haven’t fallen unless they know they were doing something stupid like going when it was dark or hitting speed bump
You're not gonna get hurt I owned an electric long board for a year and I never fell off it's so easy to stop yourself, I've been in crashes but the break are so nice and it gives you one to just jump off the board and still stay on your feet
Gave you a like and watched, good stuff. But I wish you wouldn't have reference Casey so often. Clearly, that's all what we're doing here, but let's keep it hush-hush
I’ve seen people fly off evolve boards and get seriously hurt because of faulty hardware and software. Maybe it hasn’t happen to you yet, but I’ve seen it happen enough times to so many different experienced riders to say I don’t trust the brand.
@@VenusandMaiku ive been riding this over a year now and since I put offroad wheels have not had any problems when I had skateboard wheels it stopped once and threw me on my face at 25mph but these wheels are much safer a little slower and less miles but its worth the tradeoff. I broke my kneecap and tibia on new boosted shortboard with kicktail only a week after I bought it. I sold that one and only ride this now and I wear pads now (no helmet) but that was my first serious accident in 50 years riding skateboards and I believe i stepped on front wheel when turning by accident which would never happen on this Evolve or the Boosted longboard which I used to ride. The 30 mile battery still gets 22-25 now and will do 20-24mph with offroard it did 28 with 97mm and will do 30 with 107mm. New remote works great had very few problems and I disabled deadman which makes the remote work perfectly.
That’s great. However, it sounds like you’ve disabled safety features on your board on purpose. I can’t and won’t recommend that to anyone regardless of how “cool” it is. I feel like the off-road wheels is a really niche product. If I wanted to go off road, I would have bought a onewheel. As for the battery. I air travel with my board. People make choices for what they need. Not what others think they need.
Yeah dude you need a helmet
Andrew J. Santucci were a helmet ⛑
You can get over all the bumps and cracks shown in your video. I just don’t think your level of longbording experience is there yet. Nice video tho!
...and how does one do that? re:get over the bumps etc safely
@@Omegawerewolfx - You can usually go over bumps and cracks when you're going faster

Omegawerewolfx bend your knees and lower your center of gravity. It decreases the moment of inertia at the origin of the crack/bump/etc.

Yeah that shocked me too haha
Bro these kids went ballistic for a guy with 7k subs😂 lmao
They probably thought he was Casey though why he would be in Toronto, I don't know.
lol as an eskater i find it absurd for him to talk about safety without wearing a helmet
No they were saying plain rock
You tell us that you've crashed five times and you still don't wear a helmet mmm
It mostly happens in places I'm not familiar with. I know where all the dangerous cracks are on my street. I often wear my helmet.

Uhh what? You should have your weight on your front foot. Having your weight on the back foot will make it less stable at speed.

People are way to obsessed with casey, like seriously develop your own style of filmmaking and don't follow every other TH-camr
Edgy but true.
Maiku its not edgy its right
Yeah i agree
If your saying he’s copying Casey then he’s not he just owns a boosted board lol but yeah copying Casey’s not gonna make u as popular as him
Can you put a link for the hex tool & skateboard tool in the description? I want to get them!

What brand of sunglasses are those?
I lost my wireless remote, where can I buy one?
Try local official dealers. You may have not heard. Boosted is out of business.
Thanks for the review . I just ordered mine sooo stoked
Keep up the good work👍🏻
how did you get a boosted board ship to canada?
They used to ship to canada. They are bankrupt now.
where did you get that backpack light? Can i get a link?
I got it at Mec! Not sure if they sell it anymore
where do you buy all those things u need to repair it? is it just on there website? bcs i cant seem to find them anywhere PLEASE RESPOND. :D
Any skateboard shop.
Just find all the goodies at boosted. com
