didn't break up, went on an extended hiatus, if they regroup we can expect some awesome songs. Hopefully Warrell Dane (singer) is in shape for it but you have to remember the guy is in his 50's.
it is AWWWWWWWESOOOOOOOME!!!!!in my opinion jeff is one of the most talented and giffted artists.and in combination with warrel i can surely say that they make Nevermore one of the best band ever
Jeff Loomis is just so incredible, everything he does just oozes badass. The riffs are like just as fast as normal peoples solos, and the solos... whewh. Damn I wish I had his talent...
I am glad i stumbled across Jeff on youtube because ever since he has been my favorite guitar player. i listen to his solo stuff and conquering distopia all the time.
When Jeff is doing solos his guitar sounds like a racing car! OMG but really, just listen to the solo at 4:05. It's like a race! So beautiful, technically amazing and fast!
Saw nevermore yesterday, highly recommend to everyone reading this comment to look up their tour dates and go see them live, great show, wont disapoint. O and yes, jeff loomis does have another solo battle again with his other guitarists and shreds everyones ear off
Jeff Loomis used to be a Cardassian, member of the Obsidian Order, now he poses as a human guitarist to gather information about the upcoming Federation of Planets.
Anyone else noticed that these harmonics Loomis plays during the chorus are exactly the same than the ones he plays during the clean intro of This Godless Endeavor?
@Zerocyde i agree... especially with bands like necrophagist, all those tech death metal bands....I don't mind the cookie monster stuff too much but after a whiile i jsut wanna hear some mind melting riffs instead.
@MetalxXxMayhem No, actually, Warrel's really bad off on drugs right now and there was a lot of infighting in the band. In San Antonio, Texas during their tour(I was there), they were all outside signing autographs and Dane and Sheppard were arguing, and Dane punched Sheppard in the face, and it erupted into a full on brawl. Bands just always say "musical differences" because it's the professional thing to say.
All of you new to this band need to check out Jeff Loomis solo instrumental cd " Zero Order Phase" Check out the song's "Miles Of Machines" "Devil Theroy" "Jato Unit" thats just to name a few. It's a fing amazing display of shredding & IMHO he has just raised the bar, same way Yngwie did with "Rising Force" & Jason Becker did with Cacophony & Perpetual Burn! "
@sourcekv Dude even Warrel says there not power metal, there progressive metal because they don't fit strictly into any sub genre of metal, yes this song has a power metal structure but then if you listen to something off of enemies of reality most of the songs sound more like a clean version of death metal. they cover such a wide variety of metal that you can't classify them so specifically as to say progressive power metal
Jeff left the band for what they said as "musical differences" I get the feeling him and Warrel weren't on the same page with where they wanted to take the bands sound. I'm thing Dane wanted to take it to a more power metal thing and Jeff wanted to stay heavy. Just speculation on my part tho.
I don't think that's why. They had other personal stuff to take care off. As far as my knowledge goes (its pretty limited) I think they are still on good terms.
I see a whole bunch of people saying that it's just a hiatus but I can't seem to find anything online about that. Jeff and Van quit and Warrel claims he was blindsided. Jeff says he doesn't rule out a reunion but that's not the same as saying it's "just a hiatus". Can you tell me who said it's only a hiatus and when and where they said it so I can confirm for myself?
@melistentodeathmetal Dude have you ever listened to Guthrie Govan, Greg Howe, Early Yngwie, Satriani, Vai, Jason Becker, Nuno, Andy Timmons, Tommy Emmanuel? You can say John, Jeff & Herman are you favorite just like i'll say Yngwie,Satch & Vai are mine but best in the world. There is no best, only different.
@erisi236 where the fuck can i but this this is true fucking metal and i fucking need it for all the shit out there its good to know that jeff loomis will join the ranks of fucking mozart,beethoven, etc.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@DreamTheaterization Your right there! I've never liked that Synyster Gates guy anyways :( I cant believe he has his own line of guitars? I try not to crack on anyone that attempts to play the guitar and make money doing what they love, but it drives me nuts when people brag on guitarist's that are obviously lacking at what they do. Maybe I should have said "Once you get to a certain level of guitar playing there is no better only different" But yes I can tell the diff between great & slack.
Really, there is not many people that can touch Loomis. He is in a world of his own. I would love to him and Keith Merrow do another album together. Actually Loomis, Merrow and Englund would be awesome.
@matineesuxxx No, it's not sarcasm. Herman Li is a good guitarist. I don't even like Dragonforce, but You can't deny that He's a good guitarist. Can You play guitar like Him? exactly....
I personally think Warrel is an EXCELLENT singer, his style suits nevermore very well and his lyrics are deep... they tell a story
Best band in the world

Jeff is one of my all time favorites! He such a kind person would like to meet him again!!

OMG Can't Wait other five years for next release!!!
Once again Nevemore doesnt dissapoint...farewell Chris
i've bought the limited edition and there is a second disk in it with two songs in instrumental and guitar only versions...this is one of those two
I can't believe it has been so long since This Godless Endeavor.
My neck!!! My fucking neck!!! I broke it!
Damn!That's just perfect!Jeff Loomis is my new guitar god!
the drumming is fuckin insane...the double bass work is unreal

Jeff Loomis used to be a Cardassian, member of the Obsidian Order, now he poses as a human guitarist to gather information about the upcoming Federation of Planets.
The first time I heard this I was speechless and I still am . Fucking Amazing song . !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I want to see a all intrumental of some of the best nevermore songs!
They didn't find anyone, they're still on hiatus. And it wasn't just Jeff, Van quit as well
Incredible!!! Now I need to purchase myself a 7-stinged guitar in order to learn this :(
Anyone else noticed that these harmonics Loomis plays during the chorus are exactly the same than the ones he plays during the clean intro of This Godless Endeavor?
Two more weeks!!! YES!!!
@WinglessRaven Why hasn't this got a 1000 thumbs up?
0:33 so damn heavy!
Amazing!
Jeff Loomis + drummer > Nevermore
Van is a beast on this song !!
u r correct buddy
You don't want to leave Chris Broderick on the side... trust me
@gamerface12 well i so envy you for getting to experience their magic for the first time
Only in certain songs do I enjoy this band's vocal style... although EVERYTHING that comes out of Loomis' mind is something I enjoy.
yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh jeffjust Jeff keeps me alive
This is so sick
me cannot fookin' wait
@Zerocyde i agree... especially with bands like necrophagist, all those tech death metal bands....I don't mind the cookie monster stuff too much but after a whiile i jsut wanna hear some mind melting riffs instead.
Tight...fucking Van is so damn good in this like a death metal itch that wants to be scratched just right below the surface..you can hear it in this
wow sensory overload, this is INCREDIBLE

Liar...
...My head just imploded..
Nevermore Rules...Period.
Needs to be a repeat button!
@Arielce9 just for you to know the name of the band is not related to mr poe's scripts :D
@sourcekv Dude even Warrel says there not power metal, there progressive metal because they don't fit strictly into any sub genre of metal, yes this song has a power metal structure but then if you listen to something off of enemies of reality most of the songs sound more like a clean version of death metal. they cover such a wide variety of metal that you can't classify them so specifically as to say progressive power metal
so sick...
@matineesuxxx, have you seen dragonforce "play" live???
.... need i say more?
Fucking brutal riffs 😈

@garfieldthe3rd which song?:P
i'll make sure they'll hear a lot of metal xD
goddamn this has to be the epitome of what music is supposed to be. fuckin sick song guys \m/
@Mirco884 it's not considered rape if you let it happen :]
Friggin amazing!
that "1" dislike was herman li when he heard the first 30 seconds.
Holy shit...!!!
Is there an instrumental for The Termination Proclamation?
I don't think that's why. They had other personal stuff to take care off. As far as my knowledge goes (its pretty limited) I think they are still on good terms.
Love the harmony at 4:10
can someone send me the download of the instrumental?
I see a whole bunch of people saying that it's just a hiatus but I can't seem to find anything online about that. Jeff and Van quit and Warrel claims he was blindsided. as Don Henley of the Eagles said, "we never broke up, we took a 14 year vacation" . Same might be true for Nevermore.
@AlexPowerMetalhead oh ok then do you know his original band
@VentoRdrummeR
The three best guitarists in the world are John Petrucci, Jeff Loomis and Herman Li.
It's only supposed to be a hiatus. They needed a break. They went nonstop for like 20 years xD
how did you get the vox out? just a program or did you get it this way somehow?
@stancefashion ohh tks ^^
thanks dude
2:28 and onwards!
If this song was played through every peice of technology capable of emiting sound at once i think the earth would implode.
the beginning of this song literally punched me in the face ahahah.
Thee best who needs vocals when you just have the grooves
OMFG O_o !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Temaso
Badasssss
@melistentodeathmetal Dude have you ever listened to Guthrie Govan, Greg Howe, Early Yngwie, Satriani, Vai, Jason Becker, Nuno, Andy Timmons, Tommy Emmanuel? intro "solo" is the besat part imo
Hell Fuckin yea
@Omegachall you forgot a bassist. we want some meaty sound too!
@GeglashTheBabyStompa it would implode and explode at the same time. it would kerplode
@DreamTheaterization Your right there! I've never liked that Synyster Gates guy anyways :( I cant believe he has his own line of guitars? Maybe I should have said "Once you get to a certain level of guitar playing there is no better only different" But yes I can tell the diff between great & slack.
any way I can get this version, without the vocals ?
@RulingShadowJester
mitch is not bad but i would put erik rutan (hate eternal) as vocalist and rythm guitar and george kollias (nile) on drums
is this chris broderick's old band
Jeff Loomis, Sims Cashion, and Tosin Abasi. Best guitarists.
Troy Sims Cashion is a freak. So young, too. Imagine where he’ll be in a few years.
Really, there is not many people that can touch Loomis. He is in a world of his own. I would love to him and Keith Merrow do another album together. Actually Loomis, Merrow and Englund would be awesome.
@matineesuxxx

widdly widdly widdly! Im just like jeff loomis except im widdling in my pants
Oh my goodness...
Damn I regret not buying it when it came out.
Musical differences is the polite way of saying "I hate your guts"
yeah I know now after learning the whole thing.
@atrumpetwillsound
You're insulted because I used proper grammar? See, I put a capital letter for ''You're'' :)
fucken love it
