I saw Rachel perform this song in October 2022. Absolutely stunning live voice! Great stage presence too. If you have the chance to catch her live don't miss it - and now this is only my 2nd favourite song of hers. Wait till you listen to the new one called 'Weaver Bird'!

I first heard this a couple of years ago and immediately whipped the Shazam out (usually the telltale sign that I love a song 🤣)...
I ended up losing the Shazam list and couldn't find the song. I've been hunting for it for months and literally just found it again 😍

TH-cam's a funny place. It's also (as it happens) my favourite place for discovery.
There I was. 11:15pm on a Sunday night. I'd got through and caught up on all my regular, notifications videos to watch and as I refreshed the TH-cam home page, one random recommendation stood out. Literally one. It was a busking video of someone totally new to me by the name of Rachel Croft. Sure. I'll give this a go. Always on the lookout for new (to me) music.

For the love of great creativity and real talents and gifts, please, please, please allow this young lady to chart big-time and top the pile with this amazing song...she totally deserves this as a minimum. York City Centre has so obviously been graced on many a freezing morning by her voice with many" passer's- by" recognising somebody who, beyond doubt, could be classified as THE REAL DEAL.
One day in the not-to-distant future, i'm sure some youngsters will be busking in the streets of York and singing "Rachel Croft" songs. ROLL ON THAT DAY.

I love this song, it’s been helping my revision for the past few days. Can’t help feeling there’s a lack of presence for the bass at parts but still an amazing song

Yeah I think I could have changed the mix in hindsight, there is a lot of double bass that I added but it gets lost particularly on phone or laptop speakers unfortunately- the Spotify version might be better quality audio than the TH-cam one too- it’s something I’m going to look into when it gets mixed again for the album (or remastered, not actually sure what the difference is but one of those!) x
I wish you great success . I found you a while back while looking up wild mountain thyme I have loved that song since way before Ed Sheran was born the Clancy brothers version . I thought you a great singer and now I find that you write a great song too it really shows what a powerful voice you have I knew you were good but I didn't know you were that good there isn't many singers that can sing so well .
