You can use apm 2.8 or pixhawk instead of kk 2.x as apm is stable and has more features like GPS etc

Great video and step by step instructions, thank you! Quick question - it seems that all 8330F Mavic props have 3mm shaft diameter, bullet adapter's shaft in the description is 5mm on output, how did you fit yours? I'm struggling to find bullet adapters that have 3 mm output shaft.

with a carbon fiber vinyl wrap.
Printed this on my Form 3 with tough resin. Damn it turned out great!!!! I modded the cad to fit a gopro

How are you liking the Form 3? I worked with a Form 2 for dental work and it worked fine for a while but broke down quickly and I got next to no support.

ender 3 is about 210 bucks 10 bucks for 2kg spool. Tools he shows all can be had for under 30 bucks. Motors, controllers, batteries, ect. are probably around 200 to 300.
So from scratch its about 500 dollars USD. This doesn't include the price you pay for your time.

How much weight do you think this could hold in addition to the weight of the drone?
I was so impressed that I watched this twice in a row. My only complaint is that with skills like yours you could've had a camera on there. Then it'll be a Mavic drone for sure.

It would still be very far from a Mavic drone. It would need gps capability, multiple cameras that acted as sensors to tell the drone that it is about to impact something and also include object avoidance software. Simply adding a 4k camera would be super basic and easy compared to all the other crap that would need to be added to make this thing comparable to a DJI Mavic.

is an Hypercube, is an DIY type of printer, plenty of documentation, you can find kits, but better document yourself first before jumping into it.

very cool video and home made drone, congrats! But it's definitely not a mavic air ;) not very stable, lot of oscillations, the range is 500m at most with no FPV, no super stable and orientable 4k camera, no camera for collision detection and for very precise altitude, no GPS, etc

Great job brother. You could also use some conformal coating on the soldering spots behind the KK 2.1.5 flight controller. The mechanic solder mask or anything similar to protect them from rust and humidity.

HeroSpartan no. One motor alone costs at least 4 times as much. And flight controllers are not cheap.

So..something like 20 € for the motors,10€ for the ESCs, 60€ for the transmitter and the price of the battery depends on how much power you want. The link for the Reciever doesn’t work, so I don’t know how much it costs.
And what does the flight controller cost?

I built a clone a few weeks ago. Just purchased the chassis components off Ebay for about $40 dollars. Works great. I used a NAZI system for flight control.

The escs are way bigger than what we use today, and the only advantage this kk2 has is that it has a screen
I would never use that style of prop adaptor on a quad.
On a plane you can glide to land if a prop comes off, that thing becomes an out of control brick.
Also KK2 is almost as old as it gets for flight controllers.
I think Noah used one to stabilise the arc. :p

What parts would you recommend. If its not a lot to ask.
For a camera quadcopter: Pixhawk PX4 or Naza mini as a Flight controller, For a race quad: Matek F405 or an F4 running BetaFlight
No motors with these prop adaptors, just use some generic 2205s or 2204
Use XT60 connectors on your batteries, they are much better
Use comptact ESCs made for 250 quads, they are much smaller and you can add caps if you want to

youtube is full of tutorials.... everything is the same... if you want you can just connect 18650 betteries in paralel and buy some cheap powerbank module from ebay/aliexpress... these have an LCD too.... and for a case? just some tape.... i've done it this way... easy and cheap....

Neat, but I worry about all those solder connections. Not that they will fail, but I worry that should I break something (frame wise) it will be a lot of work to transfer over the electronics. Are there any easy/cheap quick disconnects that you are aware of? Probably buying all the crimpers and supplies for that would offset the affordability of this drone though...
