I wonder when exactly you made this video, normally you will see lots of the Malaysian flags during the celebration of Independence Day on 31st August and also during the Malaysia Day on 16th September. Many government buildings also have Malaysian flags in their premises. But the federal government administrative capital is now in Putrajaya, a new city about an hour from KL. The red, yellow and blue flag is the federal territory flag, Malaysia has 3 federal territories, KL, Putrajaya and Labuan island off Borneo, the east side of Malaysia.

For franchise food like Mcdonalds, you should try unique ones like Nasi Lemak, Ayam Goreng (fried chicken), Bubur (Porridge), GCB (Grilled Chicken Burger), Spicy Chicken Mcdeluxe and some other stuffs in the menu. Especially the fried chicken. As for local dishes, look for nasi lemak, curry laksa, asam laksa, nasi kerabu (herbal), nasi dagang, roti canai (and some varieties), chili pan mee, hokkien mee, chicken rice. There is huge variety of dishes.
@@CrazyRussianSergey For malay dishes, go to Kampung Baru (or Bharu). You can find Nasi Lemak Wanjo and many malay cuisine there. Try Soong Kee Beef Noodles at Jalan Tun H S Lee as well. I'll keep sprinkling more places.

There too many immigrant workers in Malaysia. Some of them do not speak English. It's better for you to ask the local Malaysians because almost all Malaysians speak English. For your information English is our second language.. Trash are thrown by outsiders who has not adapted to the Malaysian culture who prefer cleanliness
Malay is a bit like Japanese - there's a textbook version like the one you're learning, but the daily vernacular is more like a creole/pidgin where it's a more simplified grammar that the various language groups can use with each other. I think you'll catch on soon enough lol. if i remember russian grammar, try directly translating the sentence & word order into Malay (rather than english to malay), you'll probably get closer to sounding more fluent than you think! (this is due to a shared root in indo-european - malay isn't in the language group like russian, but historically we have a lot of sanskrit or tamil and persian not to mention buddhist concept that descends from sanskrit. eg our word for two is the same, and the word for human is your word for man.). in any case, for modern nouns and terms, just stick to the english version, people would be more familiar with them since people codeswitch a lot so localizing terms doesn't always mean fully translating it. anyway, yes you notice locals try to avoid the sun and the rain which are very strong so in order to encourage people to use the walking paths and public transportation the infra has been including shade in their planning, lol.
Malaysia is made of 13 states + 3 federal territories. Each state & territory has its own flag, so normally next to the Malaysian Federal flag, we also rise the state/territory flag.
