I really like this video a lot. This canal goes through a lot of different environments, and there's a lot of industrial history to take in. You've captured it all well.
Hi Boots, having been born and raised in Rochdale many is the day l used to catch newts in the Rochdale Canal. The mills were working back in the sixties and the next bit of the canal as you will have seen does go through some wonderfully open and spectacular countryside. The next bit is one of my favourite walks and l have never walked into Manchester which l seems 16 miles or so. I was very pleased when they reopened this canal though l understand that the rerouting work near Sudden cost more than the canal cost to build originally. Progress l suppose. Thanks for posting this.
