Just a bit of information for you. The tower is currently having its bells taken out for refurbishment and the tower looks to have been re-pointed aswell. The bells were supposed to be back in action this October, but as most of these long term projects, it has been delayed.

Some amazing old memorials found here Mr Boots, early 17 & 1800s. I wonder what life was like for these folks back then. Seeing the High Celtic Crosses always makes my day! Please be careful. Deb of Oz.

Well Mr McTee yet another vandalised Cemetery those cameras should be watching the council to proved to a Judge they needlessly vandalised the grave stones. I expect that is a dream and unlikely ever to happen, mores the pity. Still very sad to see.😢

The woman with beads is the statue of Our Lady Queen of Heaven with the child Jesus holding the Rosary beads. The pushed over cross to my horror looks like the desecrated grave of the Catholic Priests of Warrington all Benedictine monks of Ampleforth. That breaks my heart indeed. God forgive whoever allowed that to happen. That is sacrilege.

I used to visit Lympstone a lot in the early 1960's, when Darling Rock in the harbour was a lot bigger than it is now, My friend Gary (Franks) and his parents visited his mother's relatives at that time. His Mum was a Norton and her sister was married to Leonard Challis. Leonard and Ivy Challis had two children - Marcel and Angela. Gary's father - Herbert Franks was from Withycombe Raleigh in Exmouth. I loved it down there. Beautiful place. The Challises lived at Highgrove (now built upon) and later up near the Sadler's Arms . In those days, the railway station was a proper station and I think the village football team played up on the Cliff Field.
