Dylan fan since 1964. Tunstall fan too - she is a breath of fresh air and such a talent. Raw and unrefined voice - dylanesque - perefct rendition. Can't wait to see her in March
You can tell by the look on her face how much she enjoys singing this song. The flow of these lyrics must be a delight to sing. Beautiful rendition of a song that could stand a few more cover versions.
KT has covered many Dylan songs and you are correct, you can see how she enjoys singing them. In this cover, she puts her own twist on the song which is very good.
I must admit I was skeptical when I decided to watch this video, but I was pleasantly surprised. I really like the country twist that KT put on this one
Don't know why I'm commenting, not much to add, what a FANTASTIC job she does of this song. She should cover dylan exclusively from now on! Her voice is lovely an raspy. Wouldn't it be interesting to see what she'd do with the wilburys' "Tweeter and the Monkey-man" Such an awesome cover!
blood on the tracks is my favourite dylan album. i know its notas political but the most heart felt. i really like this cover of what is probably my second favourite song from this album and one of my top 10 dylan songs of all time
@Muwt 3 years ago my wife and I listened to KT, and when our daughter was born she just had to be a KATIE yes she is so under rated, and this song id done to perfection, Our Katie also sings in Mandarin and english, so watch out the Chinese rock industry, they have their own charts etc.
Indeed, she is really singing this in a way I think Dylan would appreciate. I wonder why he hasn't invited her to sing with him at some point. Cmon Bob.
She really is the real deal, isn’t she? The rawness and the rasp… yeah! Better than the original IMO. Just about the best unreleased single I can think of after Nerina Pallot’s cover of Rocket Man in Radio 2, which I also think is better than the original and gets to the heart of the song better than the original, even though I do love the Elton one.
Great! i remember that day... haha as you said i was bored changing channels till i find late with jools and the first song i heard was this one! i love it! please do you know how can i download this song version?
@Tiaspeedy Owned it figuratively, not literally. I mean she managed to do more than just try and copy Dylan, but rather brought some of her own vibe to make something different, maybe even bigger, than the original had been.
"Split up on a dark sad night, both agreeing it was best" I swear she's singing the wrong lyric "Split up on the docks that night..." which is how a lot of people apparently hear this lyric, even though it makes no sense. In another live performance of this song, she sings it correctly, though.
@ChezKiva - I think DESIRE is slightly better than Blood on the Tracks but both AWESOME albums , Emmylou harris Harmonies on Desire are wonderful , Dylan is a genius no doubt about that !!
@mrLucio100 I totally disagree and feel you are being very closed minded. Great songs are meant to be reinterpreted by other artists. Especially Dylan songs. It gives them new life and keeps them fresh. Songs are not buildings and never will be.
HiHo44, absolutely. Think of All Along the Watchtower without Hendrix and Dave Matthews as just one example of reinterpretations. Hendrix is classic, and I think it is the best song Mathews has done.
What a tough song to do , It is very verbose for one thing,. KT Tunstall does a perfect job and BTW, I like her version much better than DYlan's. She not only sings it very well and has a great band but I can actually understand the words.
This never gets old , 292k of the views are me 😂😂
This was the first Dylan song I really connected with. She really did it justice!
Forever a huge KT Tunstall fan. She can do everything.
Best cover of this song ever.
She has some bizarre way of managing to make her music sound new and familiar at the same time... s'quite amazing
KT's the bollocks. Great voice, great performer
just love this cover version. I can listen to it over and over and never tire. great job KT

Ms. Tunstall nails it. What a great voice for this song, and what strong emotions she delivers. I need to hear some more from her. Thank you HiHo44!
who's says there is no new music talent about kt is amazing
You can tell by the look on her face how much she enjoys singing this song. The flow of these lyrics must be a delight to sing. Beautiful rendition of a song that could stand a few more cover versions.
big a Dylan fan as you'll find here, and I just *love* it when someone else can really get to the soul of one of his tunes!
I know she's famous and critically acclaimed and all
..but she's still way UNDERrated.
Brilliant.
words and music by Bob Dylan... another masterpiece of this god
I always liked this song from Dylan, and I usually hate remakes, but I can't stop listening to this one. GREAT job KT. Just a great performance too.
Ditto
Thanks for posting this. I first heard of KT singing this song on a Canadian show and was completely taken with her. What a voice.
Excellent KT - and I am a massive Dylan fan since the early sixties!!
Fantastic - I totally agree about KT live - she is unreal! Saw her at the Barrowlands in Glasgow and she put on a brilliant show!
Every so often a singer will sing a certain song and shine.......This is it KT
Fantastic cover of the best of Bob.
She's brilliant.
Just beautiful.
if anyone is going to do a cover of a song, it should be her. She gives every song she does a new life. she is truly an amazing artist
One of my favourite covers, brilliant :)

An awesome cover of an amazing track.
KT has covered many Dylan songs and you are correct, you can see how she enjoys singing them. In this cover, she puts her own twist on the song which is very good.

KT does a great job of this old Dylan song! ♥
I'm in love..
You are right..Perfect !!
I must admit I was skeptical when I decided to watch this video, but I was pleasantly surprised. I really like the country twist that KT put on this one
I got a tattoo ‘cause of her. My very first, to be exact.
Long story. Believe me, it’s all about love! ❤️
Don't know why I'm commenting, not much to add, what a FANTASTIC job she does of this song. She should cover dylan exclusively from now on! Her voice is lovely an raspy.
Wouldn't it be interesting to see what she'd do with the wilburys' "Tweeter and the Monkey-man"
Such an awesome cover!
I didn't want to like this, but I did. Nice job KT

great ...doesn't get better than this folks
Maybe
Far and away one of the better covers of this song, and really, is there anything much sexier than girls playing guitars?
fabtastic version .....
Hell yeah
Great cover kiddo
KT and Bonnie Raitt are the chicks that can really do these landmark tunes. They know how to pick 'em and sing 'em. I love it.
Awesome! Feel guilty commenting on Dylan covers, but this is fantastic!
She really owns the song. Not an easy thing to do...
hey mate just watched this version . great incise comment it breathes new life into bobs song
She does a good version of a great great song...enuff said!!
I love it when people cover songs and don't change the sex of the characters.
Wow, dare I say I like that better the the original? And I like that she still sings it from a male point of view rather then changing it.
blood on the tracks is my favourite dylan album. i know its notas political but the most heart felt. i really like this cover of what is probably my second favourite song from this album and one of my top 10 dylan songs of all time
Absolutely agree with everything that HiHo44 says and same for her other BOB covers...wish I could do half as good....well done KT
She is really awesome, reminds me of a young Bonnie Raitt.
Me facine con su voz 😙❤
she is sooo talented, and rather hot too
@Muwt 3 years ago my wife and I listened to KT, and when our daughter was born she just had to be a KATIE

unless you wrote this this, this is the best!
Jools look like a big Warrick Davis... and KT Tunstall is fucking awesome!
Good cover, but no one will ever speak directly to my soul like bob dylan.
Indeed, she is really singing this in a way I think Dylan would appreciate. I wonder why he hasn't invited her to sing with him at some point. Cmon Bob.
wow
You're right, it was even better then this!
Awsome!
Y'all gotta listen to Sinead Lohan singing Bob Dylan's 'To Ramona'. Its up there with KT!
That was a nice bassline
shokin this only has 40 740 views underated
Chick has rhythm!
There's nothing in the lyrics to say a woman can't sing this about another woman.
plenty of gay women around
@davabar I keep trying thinking of reasons why i cant say its the best version av heard.. and I cant
She just owns it!!
should a woman ever perform this song, that's kt tunstall :)
Tunay Donat only if she likes to scissor!
it's a hard song... but she does great!!!!!!!!
She really is the real deal, isn’t she? The rawness and the rasp… yeah! Better than the original IMO.

@StereoMonument
I was thinking that .. she was making this song her own .. not an easy thing to do at all.
VEITS omapärane tegevus ... . 🎶🎤🎸
I believe there's one with the two them (maybe with the indigo girls"lilith fair")
Neck Tingle!!
Now I know where she got the acoustic chords for "Universe & U" ! Listen to the intro on the Acoustic Extravaganza album.
Great! i remember that day... haha as you said i was bored changing channels till i find late with jools and the first song i heard was this one! i love it! please do you know how can i download this song version?
wow!!! and wow! where can we get the MP3 Version?
i love this version by her. (the bbc version isn't as good.) i also want to get this audio version but dont' know how lol
"Jools looks like a big Warwick Davis" LMAO ...he does as it happens.Somebody ring Ricky Gervais.Great idea for a new show .
KT is so damn good btw
@Tiaspeedy Owned it figuratively, not literally. I mean she managed to do more than just try and copy Dylan, but rather brought some of her own vibe to make something different, maybe even bigger, than the original had been.

@stuart7034 I think The Dead due pretty well. Jerry Garcia was born to sing Dylan.
Great version of this song. Her guitar is almost as big as she is....
@dicelaverdad KT is the best ever
Love this and the fact the she did not change the lryics her to him to suit a girl. I hate it when people do that.
SimonC7777777 me too, ha ha ... #metoo... Ha !
This version of Tangled up in blue is great! I want to download it too. Please tell me if you can find it! :)
What a tough song to do , It is very verbose for one thing,. KT Tunstall does a perfect job and BTW, I like her version much better than DYlan's. She not only sings it very well and has a great band but I can actually understand the words.
good one.. but saying she owns the song ?? have you heard Dylan singing it ?
