How lovely. I found my half brother 10 years ago but lost him to cancer a few years ago. I did meet him often. Very happy for KT.
I've noticed there's one big difference between the UK version and the USA version of 'Long Lost Family'. In the UK version if the researchers find out a parent or parents of the person featured has died then they say: 'out of respect we've told xxx away from the cameras that their mother/father is deceased.' In the USA version they have no qualms about telling someone straight to their face on camera that their mother or father is dead. Shock reactions seem an acceptable part of the show. There's no consideration for the feelings of those involved.
I’m an American & I’ve read that even Gordon Ramsey is different (less abrasive & shocking) in the UK vs US versions of his shows. I am guessing that since Americans have basically seen & heard it all that we’re less sensitive to most things. When you’ve been desensitized to that degree, it takes more to even notice, much less be affected by such things. (In case it needs clarity, I’m not implying that that’s a good thing.)
there are multiple episodes of the british version doing the exact same thing. And the people in the show always give their consent. You're clearly some bitter british person. I might be too if I had to live in your sh*thole. Why do british jealousy a national sport?

I watched the USA version one time, well many times, what surprised me was, one time they went in, and just told the son who was found, dude we are really sorry to say, in your blood there is a high risk of heart disease, no jokes, j was like come on. You find the son and you tell him he is go a weak heart in the family. No jokes
Amazing, I'm so happy for KT finding her biological family.
Siobhan is the SPIT of KT. Incredible. ❤
this is one of the most heart breaking storys ive seen on U TUBE but knowing you have 2 sisters is magic.. and her dad had a picture in his wallet of kate they found after he had passed away.thank you for putting this story up..
When KT's sisters sang along with her I melted.....
@@edt.5118 At the 9:00 mark. Also a very strategic lyric choice for the story!
Heartwarming story ! KT is lovely and talented, and her sisters are so like her ! Three gorgeous lassies....💖
KT Tunstall can release an album with just the song "suddenly I see" every year and I will still buy it everytime.
I was adopted at birth, after years of research I found a half sister and neice. I am 65 and finding out who my birth mother was, now I feel real not fake like I always have.
I met my cousin whom I didn't know about until a couple of years ago through our Tunstall family connection.
I cry during each episode of this show.
KT was my first CD I ever bought in like year 2000 as a little child. We could play them on the headphones at Fnac and my mom told me to choose the one I liked. I hear her Black Horse and The Cherry Tree and that was my very first musical purchase ❤ these songs sound like me starting to be me. What a beautiful artist and lady, so happy she connected with her father’s side of her blood family 🎉❤❤
So amazing that she has found sisters and so look alike too
Theres 1 million% the makings of an all time classic track with al this KT x
Lovely moments tinged with sadness of never meeting him….
She never got the chance to say hi or goodbye to her father. Very sad, but at least she has two sisters. R.I.P. to her father. I bet he would have very, very proud. P.S. He knows. ❤
So great to watch a *genuine* heart breaking/heart warming video on TH-cam.
Such a change from all those annoying fake videos that I'm sure most of us are presented with by the TH-cam algorithm.
Something so beautiful- thanks for sharing! ❤
Lovely all around. And your sis is a rockstar to boot!
Simply beautiful ❤
r
Really brave how KT and her sisters handled that.
Very inspiring!
Very glad iwatched this yes you look like your dad kt love your music
I’ve always loved this video. Watched it many times.
That's so beautiful. Sister's after so long
Iv recently found out I have a sister only 12 days older than me, we are nearly 49, turns out our dad was a bit of a ladies man, he's passed away but I plan to meet my sister soon
My grandfather on moms side told me my dad had 2 kids before he had me with my mom and that he wasnt part of their life and I have a brother and sister that I dont have any information at all about and to this day it has really upset me I want to find and meet my brother and sister really badly. I dont have any full siblings only half siblings or step siblings.
@@pilsplease7561There is NO difference in how you love them, or how you CAN love them. My Mom was briefly married before she married my dad. My 'half" sister was 8 yrs older than me. And I have two younger brothers. We NEVER used the word 'half' unless it was to explain something about the family. She died in 2017 at 77. I still don't know how I continued to breathe after she died. I was holding her hand. I'm happy for KT.
Very touching❤
👍👌👏 Oh WOW, simply fantastic! I swear that somebody was peeling onions right behind me during the complete video.
Best regards, luck and especially health to all involved people.
I wish all involved people
Love this.
Too Cool!!
What a difficult experience, and to be filmed during it as well. You can tell KT is a strong woman to deal with all of it.
Well, she wouldn't have found them if not for filming, the show helped her find her family.
8:44 'What's going on DUMFRIES!' - she does ALL the big gigs.
my adoptive mother died 2 years ago and I just now tried to find my biological mother. After some time spent on a lot of bureaucratic stuff i finally found her, I have her facebook and found I have more than 7 sisters and brothers lol.
Problem is, I didn't take the first step to let them know yet. I'm kind of an introverted person and they seem to always have meetings and get togethers. I don't also feel such urgency to know my biological mother in the sense that my adoptive one was the best in the world and I would never trade her for anyone else. on the other hand, time will pass and who knows how I'll feel later on or if I'll regret not meeting them.
I've been through something similar in that my father had several illegitimate kids - one of whom got in touch with me on Facebook, and also a close friend of mine is adopted and found some of his siblings years later.
And I can tell you there's no perfect way of breaking the ice, but reaching out may be worth it if you want to do it. Be prepared though, that you don't know how you or they will react or feel about it. You could end up with a close bond or feeling really awkward with them, but you don't know til you take the plunge. I wish you well anyway!!
At the age of 61 I recently found my birth mother and discovered I have 6 half siblings. She lives another country and we have spoken via WhatsApp 5 times in the past year but TBH I feel absolutely no connection to her whatsoever as she is terrified her children will find out about me and will judge her.
She has not asked me anything about myself or my childhood or shown any interest at all. It's all about her in every conversation to the point where I have decided I'm not going to bother speaking to her anymore. Yes she delighted I'm alive and had a great childhood but if she won't own up to my sibling about having had me then what's the point.
I am extremely fortunate though because she has an older sister who helped her when she was pregnant with me and as soon as I DNA matched with her granddaughter she knew who I was an immediately asked if she could phone me. She lives in yet another country but we speak twice weekly via WhatsApp and she is wonderful. Unlike my BM she immediately welcomed me into her family and told her children about me. She has filled me in on all of my ancestors and I have now been able to do my family tree with 220 people in it. I went and stayed with her for 2 weeks and it just feels as if I have always known her. She is amazing.
I also reached out to my birth father side. He is deceased as is his wife so I have 4 half siblings on his side. I DNA matched years ago with his sister who lives in the USA, but I didn't make any contact with my siblings until last year after I accessed my birth file due to the new law passed in Ireland which gave adoptees the rights to access their files.
Sadly they don't want to get to know me, which is hard as none of it was my fault, but everyone is different I suppose.
My aunts husband did send me 16 typed pages of my birth fathers genealogy so I have been able to complete that side of my family tree as well which is great as I now know where I came from and it does help to make me feel more complete.
My Mum and Dad were fabulous and I couldn't have wanted for a better home, but it is still nice to finally fill in the missing pieces, but like you I couldn't do it while they were alive as it seemed ungrateful.
I don't regret doing my search but you do have to go into it preparing for rejection which does hurt even as a grown adult.
I'm happy to discuss things with you if you'd like any advice on how to proceed. Would happily give you my phone number if you want to talk. My maternal aunt has proved that you don't necessarily have to get on with your BP's to find out about your family, it just takes one family member to be interested in you and I felt an instant connection from that first phonecall, because she was so welcoming unlike my BM who would rather I stayed a 'secret'.
@@jmk1962 Thanks for your kind words. Yes I'm still debating if i should just call expecting anything really. I'll let you know.
@@DavoXDesign - My advice is to write a letter to your birth mother telling her a bit about yourself and see if she replies. That way you'll k ow if you're going to get a good reaction or not.
She might not have told your siblings that you exist so it's best to check it out with her first before approaching any of them.
me,lost a dad,lost a sister..drunk.."hey let's click on this video,I should be able to watch it and not cry"...yeah...
Amazing how lovely beautiful lady 😍
Crazy. What lovely outcome❤
A Magical story
Wow blown away at looks of 3 9f yous beautiful ladies
Happy for KT and her sisters
So incredible!🥹💛
They look like sisters. This is too beautiful 🤎✌🏽
Fabulous👏👏❤️
Heart warming
Made me cry - I'm not who I think I am
The Strange fact is that if KT’s Dad would have kept Her and Stayed with Her Mother, He May never Have had the other two Daughters with their Mother.
Wonderful
What a beautiful story. I remember her in her when she first became famous, lovely person. Always thought she must be half Korean though 😂
That is so Beautiful xxxx
Sweet
Wow !! 😢
WOW!
Lovely
I wonder if they're still in touch ❤
They really look like sisters.
When was this program made?
KTs album "Kin" was released September 2016 - I'd like to think there's a connection
My sister in law found out a few years ago she had two sisters that her mum had when she had when evacuated from Guernsey jurying the war and recently had a book printed telling the story
I want to know if they still is togther today
Does she keep in contact
The resemblance is unreal.
Wow....they're all basically identical 😂....great outcome, even though it was sadly belated.
Classic Czech Republic’s
That is crazy bizarre...
It's the dimple sisters..!😀
That would so cool, to find out KT Tunstall's your sister.
half sisters
Does anyone know how their relationship developed?
Yous all look alike
The building can't be replaced. They are worried, that it will be a target. And what happened to notradam will happen here. So by taking the knee. It might avoid becoming a target. But i still think welby should be sacked.
How do you have a sibling 12 days older. Normally it tales 36 weeks to gestate a baby.
By having 2 different mothers. Kate's Mother is not a white woman nor do they have the same mother. She's half white and half Chinese. That's why KT looks Asian at times. I wonder if she met her Mother.
Why did they give her to an adoption? What is her story?
No idea who she is😮
A one hit wonder singer back in 2004. Her song is Suddenly i see
Wash your hands!
Starving Dog's...
They all look the same
I wish they had all kissed at the end (tongues), bit disappointed :(
right so you meet your supposed sisters for the first time and there are no tears. such fake
Why do her half sisters have Almond shaped eyes like she does? KT has some Chinese Blood. So what's their excuse?
This is a fantastic story.
What’s worse than being adopted?
Finding out it was Rick Astley who gave you up.
Knock, knock.
(Who’s there?)
Not your parents.
Listening to K.T. Tunstall's music is like listening to dihorea splattering into a toilet bowl.
With hateful comments like that i can only hope you're
"The Other Side of the World" where we don't have to see you!
You were magnanimous enough to call it music. I’ll give you that. But just say you don’t like it. Like me. But other people do.
Can you imagine finding out you have an older sister AND she's KT Tunstall! So happy for them ❤
a chinese woman?
@@astroboirapEven worse... a unionist!
