Good lord, how hard is it? Especially if you're not making your money off TH-cam - you're a shop or something. I've been wanting to see tonal demos of different basses, and 99% of videos are about nine minutes long, six of which are waffling on, one is intro/outro BS, and two minutes of playing - and the playing sections is are non-contiguous.
Amazing performance! This was one of the best demonstrations I have ever seen. Hands, brushes, soft hits, hard hits, backbeats and everything in between. Thanks for the upload! I want one!
Absolutely bloody amazing…..nice groove….just makes you want to move….and that ladies and gentlemen is what the drums in the hands of a great drummer is supposed to make you do…moving? yeah! Grooving? Yeah!….
The price is why they weren't more successful. In Canada that drum is $520 plus tax. You can get a lot of something for $520 that isn't a niche 12" snare
@@tylermatteson7289it's hardwood sawdust mixed with epoxy. Those shells are solid. I have Remo tubanos with the same shell that get abused at drum circles daily and they are indestructible
@@itsamemario4 It was a compliment ffs. Stop the racist nonsense. I watch this guy all the time, his hands are absolutely incredible. Us drummers admire hands - aka - skills to make the drums come alive. Please remove your comment.
These actually came out back in the 90’s. At least that’s when I saw them in music stores. They’re awesome. They actually had a whole entire kit along with a snare. Fun as hell to play.
Dude you are killing it! Those were some great beats and the demonstration was spot on. I would like to play drums and this drum would be a killer piece to do it on.
After seeing their insta post about these, i looked into them and since then i’ve desperately wanted one of the 14” ones that havent been made in many years. Theyre so rare that you cant even find them online for absurdly high prices, they just just arent even available
When I ordered mine many years ago, maybe 10, it was over $600.00. Saw one on line for ale near retail...very rarely do you see them used. Well back then, have not looked recently. Stopped making Them then started back with a 14" one. Sounds just as good with sticks. And awesome easy rim shots...a favorite
Someone should seriously notate this for drummers and turn it into its own song. The convergence of simplicity, diversity, artistry, and skill. Well done!
Fun fact: you could get a crosstick click sound on this snare by using felt mallet drum sticks like the ones regal tip makes. This is achieved by placing the mallet side on the drum head crosstick style and hitting the edge of the drum with the shoulder of the stick.
Great demo! From the top rim up it looks like my 10" Remo djembe. Been my favorite drum for 20 years or so. Be Cool. Edit: I've even used it for a kick drum on several recordings.
Wow, The head looks as if it's made from stone. The entire drum looks very Stout. The versatility and the sound quality this little monster opens up is something I've been wanting for a long time. How cool is this man. Great Jam, we get a little bit of everything with this one.
It opened with a little grin with noticing the rasp cord was set against one of the arms for the stand. The little grin turned to a bigger grin when seeing the exchange of metal to plastic brushes and making a joke to myself about switching to silicone kitchen brushes, then the jokey grin turned to appreciation grin when the sticks came out. Like, I'm STILL going to walk away wanting those silicone brushes for the gag, but I'm _absolutely_ subscribing before I do so. As others have mentioned, this is an EXCEPTIONAL demonstration that sells the viewer _on the product_ and not cheesy, distracting blurbs and ad copy over b-roll footage. Product features need more of the product being competently demo'd. Extra kudos to the links and info on the whackin' implements used
Also mine has a hammered bronze shell, looks like new ones are synthetic which helps cost, and the strainer fell apart but they sent a new one thankfully. Rimshots do not damage if you don't like murder it while playing. Gotta pull out and use again
The whole top and head is the same as the Remo Mondo Djembe, Pemo's most popular and common percussion item in 10, 12, and 14 inch sizes. One problem they have, you can't sit on them to play as people do with big chunky wooden djembes, as the moulded composite shells get crushed at thr botton end of the stem. You see horribly wrecked ones at festival campfires! One i found like that was vey roughly repaired. Would not be too hard to saw it across near the bottom of the bowl shape, and cut in a bearing edge, and fit standard snare drum parts, in 12" or 14" size. A DIY project, something to think about!
Why are these so hard to find for sale? Only months after their release and every website has them on back order. Remo please make a bunch of these so consumers can purchase them. Thank you
Anyone else watch this and think... 'I need one'?
This demo is A+
I haven’t played drums in years but this demo still makes me need one. 😎
I don't play drums per se, but seriously looking at this,, but why I ask myself?..
Soooo, that's one of the best demonstrations of a snare drum that I've witnessed.
literally though!
One of the best demonstrations of any product
crap! out of stock
What the hell did I just hear? This drummer is amazing! That is true living music with heart, soul, and stellar technique. That drum is singing!
This is the music for the art theft portion of a really classy heist film set in Europe.
Lol 💀🤣🤣
@@Jesus_loves_you2004 No diegetic sound during this scene. Just the music.
Oh my God I see it
"So here's the plan"
Lol
Facts 😂
Every product video for now and forever needs to do exactly this. No talking just pure demonstration. THE BEST

Dear lord the playing on this demo is incredible. Super versatile drum too.
I agree
I heard the top layer needs loads of replacements
The performance sold me on it more than the drum. I like what you played and how you did it, sir.
Have a feeling this guy can make anything sound great.
Sweet beats.

Cool drum. This dude is talented as hell🔥
fantastic drummer!!🙂
That sounds VERY nice.
Conga bongo timbale in one drum with snare sound to cool
I'm surprised the Mondo wasn't more successful. I've always liked the sound.
Yes, me too, I wish (a) they still made them and (b) if they did, that they were less expensive!

Beautiful playing
The less you have, the fuller it sounds. Love it!
They just sold a whole lot of these drums 🥁....I like it..where do I sign😂❤
Hopefully, the hands aren't sold separately : )
If you're in America they outlawed that awhile back bro. Kinda had a whole war about it

Unbelievable straight to the point
Outstanding demo of this great sounding unique drum!
That's a convincing demonstration !
great video honestly, just wished we got more of the solo snare at the end or beginning
I dig the bed liner look, sounds great. Great playing too!
that thing sounds so beautiful!!!!
I’ve wanted one of these for years!!!!
Amazing drummer. Over the years
WOW way cool!!!! Great stuff to watch.......sick grooves!

This performance was everything. Massive props.
Showing you just what can be done with just kick/snare/hat.
Beautiful.❤
It sounds absolutely other worldly. New Orleans about to go crazy with this
So amazing! It actually has a rimshot sound!

I just ordered one of these. What a versatile drum!
Just fantastic
Mind exploded! Great demo. Thank you. What a great design snare. Wow! Great playing!
Thank you for an actual demo of a product and what it SOUNDS like not a product rep babbling about what it will sound like once he gets to it…
Outstanding!!
Great playing, great instrument. I have the 14 one. Clever the one who made this product.

Great!!!
What is the weight of this Drum?
Are the bearing edge durable enough for rimshots?
...I haven't heard a Snare this good since the Carey, Fig, or Gadd models. Simply amazing how much tone and resonance this size of Snare can create!
Might just make a purchase

Bit of a 50 ways part in there ?
Does Isac Oliveira have one of these?
Is the rim shot bad for the bearing edge?
It has a metal shell with metal bearing edges. So rim shots are okay for this drum.
@@memphisdrumshopI believed the whole shell was made of Acousticon. Did Remo abandon their legendary material?
