Trust me it ain't worth it! I fell from 2 stories over 20 ft straight down onto a concrete slab! Multiple surgeries and I quite literally didn't walk for over 11 months. Haven't really worked construction since and it's been very difficult to find a job that pays well. All you have in this world is your health, take care of yourself!
Use the ladder next time
@@chrisreynolds2410lmaooo
Yeah most of these idiots don't understand what it means to even walk with that kinda weight willingly. 🙄 I don't even do roofing and I know that's harder not smarter.
I built my house/roof off-grid solo. This was one of my biggest fears.
If I got hurt I have no idea how many hours if not days it would take to get help.
I guess it depends on how you fall. I fell 2 stories from a scaffolding and only had bruising and sore ribs and my wrist was kind of f'ed up for a while, but other than that it was fine. Also it depends on what you fall on, concrete is horrible, I happened to land on lawn and gravel mix. I weigh about 120 kilos btw, if that makes an impact in any way :D
I'd fire the asshole who loaded this little guy up....for real, who would put that much on this kids back....not to mention it is on a roof deck laid on what looks like 24 inch spaced trusses!
There is no way this guy fared well. He would have dropped onto and through the ceiling joists with 400 plus lbs of shingles landing on him. I hope he survived and wasn't paralyzed or left permanently crippled.
Yeah this kid definetly did not fare well from this event, I’d take like 2 or 3 but bro has like 6
@@wadeklein8962I’d take freaking 1. They weigh 60-70 pounds a piece and awkward as can be
That much weight on a kid will keep him from growing tall
I think he came out alright. I saw a kid drop the concrete bag, turn and jump off the scaffold when it broke loose five stories up. Grabbed the window opening and was inside before the rest of us could close our mouths. We all laughed afterwards.
And I agree, I’d fire the guy who loaded him up. But it looks like someone didn’t mark a future opening or the truss wasn’t secured because he fell through more than a two foot opening
😢 poor kid, he doesn’t know that he’s boss doesn’t care after he get hurts. Work smart not hard.
His boss was his father most likely
Welcome to the American dream
I would not be surprised if they found him and the square and a third of singles somewhere on the first floor 😬 Furthermore that "poor kid" quite possibly became that "poor vegetable"....... To think this probably all came to fruition due to either a slave driving boss or even worse, the workings of a side bet between the other employees.... Regardless, the kid worked his ass off and deserved a better work environment, end of story!
The kids at fault and so are the adults around him. I'm Hispanic and don't like working on construction sites with these mostly Mexican guys because the atmosphere is always this d*ck measuring contest and it gets dangerous just like this... So good job kid.. I'm sure they're all real proud of you now... But your fired too. If you can even walk after that
This boy likely did not survive
There’s literally someone recording and watching while this kid is overloaded. Why is nobody talking about the damn cameraman
as long as the camera man is ok who cares about the illegal Mexicans stealing American jobs
That's what modern construction culture is like, far less brain then brawn especially when you got illegals coming from God knows where and they only option they got is this kind of work, with the machismo culture they already come from now here, a place they can "move up in" they go even harder .. I don't know who the f*ck thought it was ok to let this 14 year old even on the job site but that shows you these ppl don't care ... Only his dad cares if anything. I'm glad I woke up out of that wanting to impress my coworkers attitude, they came for money, not to see my pretty face
You can see his spine breaking in 3 places before he even fell through.
Your fired before you hit the ground .
EXACTLY.. ain’t the bosses fault he wants to be Hercules 😮 because he definitely is not expected to carry that much and should have told the person who put him up to it to fuckoff
Home Depot says each bundle of Oakridge is 68lbs., 340lbs. Even if it was half it would be dumb
It would of worked if it was plywood…
340+160🤣
It's not 340. Have you ever loaded a barbell with 3 plates?
@@ByeEvoX then YOU need to talk to Home Depot. He's carrying Oakridge Owens cornering shingles. They are 68lbs per bundle. I just returned a pallet of them in the last month. They are 68lbs buddy
@@rocketdogtickerthe weight of the human counts too.
March this year i was on a factory roof, the roof gave way and i fell 3 stories onto the concrete also. Shattered my rib cage breaking all but one rib, my heart stopped multiple times because of the pressure it had from internal bleeding because of puncturing my lung in multiple places, i broke my back in multiple places and also seperated the iliac wing from my pelvis. Broke my ribs off of my spine so no position was comfortable and could barely breathe. I had surgery so the majority of my ribs have permanent titanium plates to hold them together while healing. I'm still in pain every day, my organs and bones took a beating and feel like i will never get back to 100 percent. All for the sake of a free quote with guaranteed work
Boss asks "where's Pedro?" Answer "about that"
Boss ask "where's David?" Answer "yeah so he quit but I got my nephew who didn't finish high school" 😁
Btw finish high school. Or get G.E.D it ain't worth it risking your life. Almost got a concussion when I hit my head on a concrete slab. Get that G.E.D and get that bread. Learn something. Do something with your life. 😤
Bro was maybe 14
He kids are durable hell be playing soccer the bext day
Not anymore lol
What?
Speak correct English, man.
I'm surprised he made it as far as he did. No roof deck is rated to safely hold 500ish pounds while standing on one foot. The applied load is tremendous.
That roof wasn’t framed properly look at his last step on a plywood seam….no framing under.
yea why did the joint not break on a nailer or truss. no floating joints wth
@@chrisreynolds2410I'm sure there was framing underneath but a 2x4x12 or however long 2x4 isn't strong enough to hold that much weight at all. The 2x4 likely snapped and disappeared at an angle the camera doesn't see. I'm doubting the seam that had nailed down plywood wasn't on top of framing.
@@chrisreynolds2410it was just the amount of weight applied to one spot creating too much force for a single piece of wood and plywood on top. If it we're a 2x10 or bigger valley or ridge then he'd likely been just fine walking with that much weight. But he stepped at a somewhat weaker point in a roof system rather than continuing the sturdier path.
Kuckylacy ……. You can’t see the nails where you say it was nailed but like I suggest you can’t see framing either.
So no framing and no nails and it was clearly framed 36” on center.
hopefully they can do drywall tomorrow
Yes and that is how you get back to your country with a wellcheer or in a box, work like a regular guy don't listen to the other people and work smart.
Lol…they never go back
Man thats one strong ass kid right there hope he made it.
It was most likely a 10ft fall or so, from the roof to the next wood floor.
@@diedfrombored5295 pfff ya with 2 squares on his back get bent dude
@@cmdrclay_maddox3337 What're you mad for pussy
@diedfrombored5295 that's if there was plywood or subfloor on the joists below...either way the dude is hurting good with 5 stacks at like 40lbs a piece falling directly on top of him after he smacked the joists or ground below.
@@EyeBurnForYou They don't put the roof on until the subfloors are installed, it goes on last.
So yeah, there was plywood flooring that more than likely held up.
they knew that was dangerous and stupid asf ! they did that kid dirty !
He's Mexican... Kid might have been 40 y/o and still looking 17 or looking 40 since he was 17.
@@danelynch7171im not sure if he mexican bc u cant judge a book by its cover he may be central american or another hispanic decent country but that ugly hair is what makes him look young
@@isaaccastro5866 well shit dude.. I'm from the middle of the cornfields. I don't know the difference between a Mexican and a central American and a Philippinino. They are all foreigners to me!
I was gonna say when he drops them they going through the roof, I did not expect the ending but I’m glad it happened 😂😂😂😂
This is the stupidest thing you can do the roof bends with 3 and you think more is a good idea 🤣🤣 bro lost everything that day
All I can hear is
“MIIIIIIIIIGUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEL!”
😭😭😭😭😭
Lmaoooo
Nahhhhh😭😭😭😭😭
Whoever supervised this kid should be held responsible for for the injuries at the workplace.
I’d like to see the after interview of how this guy turned out
Dead. If falling down onto beams below didn't kill him, the 340 pounds falling with him did.
He made it with minimal injuries
@@kingc8100 cap
Just curious do you have a source for that?
A clear example that bosses don’t give a shit
Stairway to earth
He WAS a good roofer 😅😅
Somebody would be seriously injured if that kid was my son.
I've seen this happen on a Hispanic job site and what happens is they don't call 911 you just see a truck pull up they put his body in the truck act like everything is fine and you nor his family ever see him again. And im not joking

The infamous truck the rolls up in the dead of night. One moment 10 guys have been your neighbors for 6 months, the next moment a different 10 guys are your neighbors, but they all have the same names...
Cut the guy a break, he was just looking for some shade.
lololol
All that for $100
that hurt
Poor guy. I'm gonna assume he fell onto the customer's king size bed because I don't want to know the truth
More like the customers couch in his living room... Smdh
lol
No basement slab, had to use squeegee to clean up the puddle.
I've done roofing. That is a ton of weight... wow. Hope he's OK, definitely bruised
He went straight to the slab…
Probably straight the the earth and popped back out in Mexico lol
Strong kid.
Hope he's okay.
Dang. It's not only the fall that's the worrying part. It's all those shingles falling on him. Gotta be at least 50 lb a bundle
around 75 pounds a bundle
Must have made a heck of a mess on the inside.
How was he planning to drop 300-400lbs of shingles on that slanted roof anyways,he can barely shift it befor it brings him off balance
There was literally nothing supporting the pannels underneath that section, to have half a board of osb just hanging no wonder it snapped
He is going through plywood too!!! 400lbs just in bundles.
They will just sheet right over like it never happened 😂
I was gonna say if that guy slips he’s done but looks like he got it faster than me
Come with me…
And you’ll see…
A world of OSHA violations
Or whatever Willy Wonka said
His dad most likely got him the job
Story says the contractor moved out of the state, osha is looking for him.
What story?
Cameraman did his job but this is on time he should have shown that he cared
Damn dude...that shit landed on top of him..
They should have been replacing all that water damaged osb anyway
Stupidity gets you know where they say oh yes Stupidity does get you somewhere either hospital or 6 feet under..
you can clearly see the old ass 🌮🌯 yelling saying go you little bastard
This is how you break your back
Oh my God! I hope it recovered fully! This is why I was insisting that the roofer remove the old sheathing and install fresh sheathing, but the SCAMMING ROOFERS [TIMBERMAN ROOFING HERE FLORIDA] IGNORED ME!
Dammit. Kid got F'ed up!
Disgusting. That is somebody’s baby. No human should ever be subjected to that.
Damn he was so close to making it to the ridge 😂
So yeah, that kid was definetly hurt badly, he already looks like he’s in pain from carrying those, look at his neck and back, that guy was definetly already a little f*cked up from doing crazy sh*t all the time at work
People will do anything to get on youtube😂
For real I bet it was his idea to hey foo record this and wham everyone had a good laugh
why is someone recording this?
This is how Machu Picchu was built.
Damn that last step was a doozy
Why would you even load when you still need to tear off
I bet the poor bastard was fired before he hit the ground...
Shoulda stayed in mexico
You should stay in Alabama and keep drinking yourself to a slow miserable existence good ole boy. Enjoy you inbreeding, flunky.
justice
Bro disappeared like a cartoon character 😅
Didn’t faze him,got back up to replace the plywood, and ran that shit up again.
Through the peak of the roof too😭😭
That could have easily killed him
Well those bundles gotta get carried back up now.
Pretty sure we just watched that boy's last moments 💀
the drywall ceiling would have broke his fall
@@chunzhu5049 imagine thinking drywall would do anything other than get wrecked by 500lbs dropping onto it
shut up you dont know sht@@dynastynyy
first mistake OSB!! for the wood lol shi is weak and thin
He was already hurt before falling
More!
Sad, just sad.
That over taxing any person to carry that much weight 😢
That roof needs work!
Does that save any time instead of making multiple trips
No. You could only do that once or twice. Then youd be so exhausted you couldnt being the rest up.
One of the dumbest things ive seen, cant believe those other guys even let him.
Rest in peace my friend😢
He even broke the truss unless it was on 4 ft centers which is unheard of for a roof😮
Construction quality is garbage these days, you can guarantee that plywood was left out in the rain & elements softening up before they ever used it.
Not only that but the plywood wasn't even supported where he walked.
I'm at construction sites and i've seen their work, it's VERY crude, honestly I don't trust any modern builders.
I thought it was OSB not plywood
@@dcwatashiwouldn't trust ply now days either tbh
He broke right through the roof truss with his ribs also
OSHA called they want to have a word with the Foreman/supervisor/ and owner.
Kid's carrying the weight of a grown man on his back, no wonder the cheap whatever type of wood that was gave way like that
Good for you
Poor kid
Hey Mr George how much you pay for the new guy?? That’s too much. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
not enough, us white guys carrying one lol
@@ConcernedviolentVigilant-tj8ny shiiiit. I’m Mexican and I’m not carrying more than 1 bundle at a time GTFOH
Mama always said stupid is is stupid does
Hope guy is ok. Much respect bro. Ats 200 lbs plus
Where's the original video?
Dang that make me jump and adrenaline tingle watching that
Home Depot, Menards, ABC Supply charge like $150 - $170 to use crane to get shingles to the roof.
We just not gonna talk about the no rafter in the joint of the plywood are we?
Dang poor kid 😂 I hope he’s okay real talk
Damn buddy got sent back to the lobby
Just drop shingles on ridge.
Did he live?
Poor guy, hope he's good.
What's the spread of those raphtors!!
That's insane man. Even if he stayed on the studs that's too much weight to be doing that.
Looks like a lawsuit
Do you have a way of letting us know how this guy is doing? Did he live?
hearted but no comment😢
Company had that last check written for him before he hit the ground
I found this out with chipboard also, jumped off a 7 ft scaffold on to a chipboard first floor. Went right through and was picking lumps of splinters out of by body for days
Someone knows what happens afterwards?
