Thanks so much for this video, I did a full run of Feds and won the game while never being able to figure out how to take planets. Now if I could just the ability to actually make trade routes, I will be set. heh. Thanks again.
So the Romulans declared war on me. I have massive fleet and tech superiority, but they laid claim to one of my system. I destroyed 3 of their puny fleets they sent into that system, they couldn't even take out the starbase I had there. Then I moved in and took out the starbase in Kitomer. Seemed fitting to take it back. But I couldn't destroy it, only "Occupy". Same with the planet, but had to use a troop transport. For no apparent reason the federation also declared war on me at the same time. They must have had a "mutual stupidity pact" or something, because their fleets while better, were also no match. I've been hitting science pretty hard, I have almost +600 in science right now. So I had to back off Romulus and take out 1/2 a dozen federation fleets that were actually going to do some damage if left unattended. Then I turned my attention back to the Romulans. I sent a fleet in to take out one more starbase and I get a pop up message that I "Won the war". I was not consulted. I didn't agree to any treaty or cease fire. I didn't agree to a surrender. I didn't even agree to stop shooting at them. The war is just OVER. My occupied station and planet are now completely back under Romulan control. I couldn't even lay claim to them because I didn't have nearly enough purple stuff for a single system. Seriously WTF is the point of a conquest game if they can arbitrary shut me down from attacking them when they even started it?
Remember you can't have fleets in enemy territory before the war declaration, otherwise those fleets will "disappear" the moment war is declared, reappearing maybe a month later somewhere within your territory.
OK. Firstly, Thank you for this video. Very informative. BUT, i have the following problem : I have captured the Starbase in en enemy race terrytory system which (the race) i have declared war upon and survayed the system , BUT (and here lise the problem) when i try to land armies it SAYS PLANET (OR SYSTEM) IS NOT SURVAYED. What do i do. Is it a glitch, bug, hack or something. How do i fix this ?
Hm never seen that before that seems weird - the system is under the enemies control, you've issued and confirmed a claim and set that claim as part of the war victory right? I think it might be a glitch though since I've never seen NOT surveyed for a system that is owned by an enemy!
Hm, I'll have to think about this one more - I'm no expert at resettlement and it is confusing, especially when playing as Romulans and moving everyone before the supernova!

This is very useful. Thanks for answering my inquiry.
Glad I could help!

Great call out!
This was great man! Can u do the same video but for a liberation goal? I just can't seem to figure out how to liberate Bajor!
Definitely though I've mostly played Romulan and Klingon and haven't tried to liberate Bajor! I'll give it a go and see if I can post a video!

I have the issue where I have a claim and send a fleet to capture the space station and they don't fight each other even when I tell them to attack
That seems like a bug if you are at war! Make sure you're at war and you issue the claim as part of the war victory!
This game is fun, but the wars are kind of convoluted.
Yup, it's not entirely clear unless you've played Stellaris!
Okay. I have a new challenge. Resettlement and what each triangle represents for correct job transfer.
