@@ashraffitahey5733 South Arabia is not Yemen, you know Yemen to the Arabs is everything south of the Kaaba called Yemen! It has nothing to do with the modern Republic of Yemen, because their republic was not called Yemen even before the last forty years.
Yemen the nation state is not even 35 years old. It was two countries and before that it was divided in to many small sultanates. Jazan, Najran, Aseer and other parts of southern Saudi Arabia were part of North Yemen.
There's a huge difference between Jazan and Yemen. Jazan has been part of the Saudi state since the 1700s, before that it was a sovereign state Milhlaf Sulaimani since the 900s AD. They had conflicts with Sana'a (Yemen) for several times. They had nothing to do with Yemen but Yemenis just childishly (and intoxicatedly🌿) claim that Yemen's borders is from Aden to Mecca. I'm from Jazan and our culture is more similar to Abha and Rijal Almaa than to Yemen.
I love how Drew knew that Jazan is originally Yemeni - and that coffee is originally from Yemen. He probably heard Saudis try to sell him that coffee is originally from Saudi Arabia --- but ignores them and ends up making this amazing vlog referring to Jazan as "the Yemeni border" and giving a quick backstory about the origins of coffee coming from Yemen. Thank you Drew. We (in Yemen) don't have the media on our side. So we thank you deeply for showing the truth about coffee and Jazan (all being Yemeni). God bless!
@@ix8518 You're actually wrong. Before the Ottomans came, Asir - Najran - Jaizan where territories belonging to Yemen for thousands of years. The last ruling Yemeni kingdom that controlled Asir - Najran - and Jaizan was the Zaydi Mutawakkilite Kingdom from the 16th century to the 20th century. Then the Ottomans came and conquered the Arabs and divided the lands. The Ottomans made Asir the Velayet of Yemen during the early 1900s. Then, Sheikh Muhammad al-Idrissi later declared himself the Emir of Asir in 1908. So from 1909 to 1930 or about 10 to 21 years, the Idrissi Emirate was somewhat independent. But quickly came to an end in 1930. Ibn Saud invaded Najran and then the Emir Idrissi of Jizan fled to Yemen to join Imam Yahya Muhammad Hamid ed-Din, the King of Yemen against Ibn Saud the Nejdi. After a war between Yemen and Saudi Arabia, they signed the Treaty of Taif. So, to answer your ridiculous comment, NO, ASIR wasn't a breakaway country. It was territory belonging to Yemen before Islam and after Islam. The border of Yemen goes far near Mekkah. All ancient maps from the Himyarite, Islamic conquests, Ayubid, Rasulid, Tahirid, Mutawakklite, EVEN the Ottoman archival maps show Yemen's border NEAR Mekkah. And every single land and city south of Mekkah WAS YEMEN. You don't need me to tell you this. READ man -- google search everything I said. I will be here if you need to prove me wrong. So good luck doing so.

Most Europeans love Yemen because it is a historical country and has friendly people!
He is a good guy. Thumbs up
Do you know the discoverer of coffee in Ethiopia?
His name is Khalid and he was a shepherd.
This kind of coffee tree is known as Arabica.. We Tanzanians have both coffee trees. i.e Robusta and Arabia. What a wonderful place.
Just a superb 👌 experience Drew - and I'd love to try the best coffee ☕ in the world 🌎 !
Amazing ❤️. Their local folk song is 🎶 tune like Nepali folk song too i am surprised 🤨. Nice to watch your video Drew 🙂
Good bless you 🙏
I just get hungry after seeing all the amazing food drew gets to eat.
Such dynamic scenery, I bet the coffee was fantastic
What an incredible vibe!!🇾🇪♥️
I'm just happy that ur happy
This is sauth Saudi Arabia not yemen!
Can you stop being so negative ? Historically the area has always been a part of Yemen. And generically all most everyone from the region has Yemeni ancestry. Stop the negativity and the divide
#مقهورين.... شعب واحد 🇾🇪 🇸🇦 بلد واحد
Jizan is a Saudi city, please do not spread false information, fix the mistake or delete the entire content 🇸🇦🇸🇦🇸🇦🇸🇦🇸🇦🇸🇦
He didn't say that inspite the fact that was a Yemeni City before occupied by Saudi
@@ghamdanahmed9689 the city belongs to it indigenous people, and they identify themselves as Saudis. They would never call themselves Yemenis, so what’s your problem?
My first time to come across this very handsome Drew’s channel and finally! Someone obsessed with borders! Wow. My first time to know someone who’s also obsessed with borders like me 🥰🥰🥰
The Saudi border, not the Yemeni border! Jazan's culture and history are different from Yemen, and there is no link between them! Pay attention to the information that comes out of you.
Historically it is Yemen borders just changed it they eat like Yemenis they dress like Yemenis they talk like Yemenis historically that land was called Yemen so you watch the information that comes out your mouth
@@ashraffitahey5733 No, Yemen belongs to Jazan. The borders of Al-Makhlaf Al-Sulaimani used to reach Hodeidah, but King Abdulaziz gave it up in the Taif Agreement after international mediation(:
@@amalalamri19 I’m talking about historical the south of Arabia the mountainous and green regions where know as Yemen I’m not talking about the modern country it is part of Saudi now no problem but to say it has to relation historically to Yemen is just a lie that’s all I’m saying
@@amalalamri19 I’m the end of the day we’re all Muslim Arabs Alhamdallah let’s not get blinded by nationalism
@@ashraffitahey5733 South Arabia is not Yemen, you know Yemen to the Arabs is everything south of the Kaaba called Yemen! It has nothing to do with the modern Republic of Yemen, because their republic was not called Yemen even before the last forty years.
What a great video drew ♥️♥️
Jazan is Saudi City, we have own history not just Yemen border, you should take jazanies translator, again thank you for this vlog
👍🏻👍🏻
Jazan was a yemeni city before Saudi Arabia annexed it
@@ibnalshaibi Yemen is a name of region, not which is 70% of it now in saudi not the 32 years state of yemen
@@ibnalshaibi not true, Most of the Yemeni lands were under the rule of the Jazan tribes
Yemen the nation state is not even 35 years old. It was two countries and before that it was divided in to many small sultanates. Jazan, Najran, Aseer and other parts of southern Saudi Arabia were part of North Yemen.
The best coffee I had was in Dubai. Never been to Yemen. Sounds amazing
Yemen and Saudi arabia are two hearts in one body.
Your brother from Yemen
Mind-blowing... Enjoyed
Hello sir drew great vlog watching from Philippines
I love how Drew knew that Jazan is originally Yemeni - and that coffee is originally from Yemen. He probably heard Saudis try to sell him that coffee is originally from Saudi Arabia --- but ignores them and ends up making this amazing vlog referring to Jazan as "the Yemeni border" and giving a quick backstory about the origins of coffee coming from Yemen.
Thank you Drew. We (in Yemen) don't have the media on our side. So we thank you deeply for showing the truth about coffee and Jazan (all being Yemeni). God bless!
Jazan is not originally Yemeni and It was an independent kingdom
