Wow ! It's way different from the last time I was there several years ago. We would park in the parking lot building several floors up, take the elevator down to wait for the tram, get to downtown Disney, then walk over to either the monorail entrance, or the main entrance further down the lane. This looks more complicated than it was back then.
We made sure to book a hotel with a Starbucks inside bc with a limited ability to go now we can’t afford to waste our time in line for coffee this trip😭 it usually takes us the first 45 minutes of our day to get coffee and breakfast and eat and drink it. Every minute counts now lol
Do you think they will open the toy story parking lot. If they do open toy story parking lot do you think they would have the shuttle buses to take guest to Disneyland?
I was there on same day, I got to Mickey and Friends at 7:50 am and I walked straight into the park by 8:40 am, no line. I got on 2 rides before opening and 12 rides in total at Disneyland. I’ve never been able to do that before, it was a great day! Thank you to you and the rest of the TH-cam community for all the tips, they helped a lot! 😊👍
@@ravensanalysisfootball5133 after we parked, we sat in the car and ate food we had got from Starbucks! We got out of the car around 8:05, stopped at restrooms and also had to do temp check and go through bag check 😊👍 yes, we drove up to parking structure at 7:50, so it included all of that.

Tried this last Wednesday, but had a big surprise when all of I-5 was closed (the entire highway closed for 11 hours) and it was the most ridiculous traffic problem solving situation. Left Burbank around 7:10am and didn't get to Mickey & Friends until after 8:30 -- it's usually a 40 min drive. So wild
What my hubby and I did this weekend was just order a Lyft to take us to and from the park. This was our first time trying that and it was also our first time using the Harbor entrance. Before we would always drive and come through the tram route. We won't be doing that anymore. It was $7 to $10 for each lift ride which is still cheaper than parking, plus you can time your drop off the way you want to and not have to worry about long lines just to get into a parking structure or parking lot. Much. Less. Stress.
that's what I was thinking of doing. Where did you start your lyft ride from? And where did they drop you at disney? And did it take long to get a ride? I've heard people say they couldn't find one at all
I went on 5/21. Got there at 8am via uber. Lined up at the shuttle area and was inside dca by 9am it may have been maybe before 9am but it was pretty quick no complaints

Harbor is the best way! If you’re not eager to get in.. definitely do Mickey and friends. I spent the week at the Anaheim hotel and I entered the check points at 10:30am. I just walked right into Disneyland. This will change after the out of state guest start coming in..
When is a good time to get to the parks now? We normally like to rope drop but have little kids and are worried about waiting in a huge line to get in.
If you ever do this again I would be so greatful if you give us updates on ECV rentals as the time goes by. Taking my boyfriend for the first time but we don't plan to be waiting in line til opening due to his condition. I'm so nervous ECVs will be sold out by the morning but I really hope not
What I did was got to structure 715 and at 730 Mickey and friends opened up and was able to walk straight to Disneyland gates we had a 2min wait maybe before going into the esplanade. But wife and I were first in line at the Disneyland gate and they did a count down at 815 and let us in. It was amazing

Speaking about planning……As for the Indy Virtual Queue… it appears it BEGINS at park opening or close after that. Not at 7am like Rise. As of now, 10:00am Monday, the VC for Indy is open with a 1 1/2 return time.
@@ethanguerrero9529 usually it’s at the time they open or very shortly after. There might be a ride problem, like Indy always has problems, they might open later.

Yeah I went there on May 17th and though the lines looked TERRIFYING but the lines moved so fast. I’ll be going to California adventure on June fourth and expect that to be pretty bad.
Hi David, I was there the same day. We entered the Harbor Blvd line at 8:20am and managed to enter through the Disneyland gates at 9:05am. It took us 45 minutes to get in. The next day, which was Sunday 5/16, it was raining and we entered the line at 8:30am but managed to passed through the gates at 8:50am. I guess Disney was letting guests in early due to the rain. We headed straight to Fantasyland and rode Snow White (5 minute wait), Pinocchio (walked on), Peter Pan (10 minute wait) and Mr. Toad (2 minute wait). We even managed to get boarding group #22 for Rise of the Resistance which was called on before 10am. This was the most productive hour that I have ever spent at Disneyland.
Dave... I got dropped of by Uber on Harbor Blvd at 8:05am and the que was near Harbor Blvd entrance. At 8:25am the line started to move. I was too hungry so I went to iHop for breakfast. Huge mistake. I got back in the que at 9:20am and OMG!! The que is crazy long going back n forth from the hotel bus stops.

There was no lines in front of the entrance of Disneyland or dca we just literally walked in. I feel it is different on weekends because it’s way more packed on those days
We live locally in Yorba Linda (20min away, no traffic) and are coming Sunday 6/13. Our plan is do ROTR boarding group at home, then zip on over to DL. What will be will be at that point.

We parked at Mickey and friends at 8:50. Not really in a hurry, but we’re able to park quickly and were inside Disneyland by 9:30. We even got a locker outside of Disneyland. It was super easy and not stressful at all and we went May 8th. I love the 25% capacity so nice.
They open Mickey and friends 8am sharp, that’s when they actually swing the pole open and start taking money. Technically you can pull in at 7:45. It takes a few minutes to park, and then at least 10 mins to walk inside, that’s why you didn’t see anyone there when you first arrived to the tram area.
@@NunyaBizzzzz if you can manage to get a spot at the Anaheim hotel, it’s a shorter walk, however, last time I was there I was about the last person they allowed to park there and they sent like 14 people in line behind me away. I won’t go back there. Another anecdote: I got to Mickey and friends at 7:45 sharp, pulled in the far far right hand side. There is a sign that said, “lanes open,” and that’s even further to the right. I went there and was the first one at the gate. Mickey and friends is a wonderful place to park and I’m hoping they bring the trams back soon which will make it that much more enjoyable.

I went yesterday! I got there at 8:30 and their weren’t much long lines to get in! We did almost all the rides but six! Such a great day even if it was raining a little and gloomy 😩🥰

We were there on Wednesday and they opened up parking at 745 at Mickey and friends and we paid and were in the park by 830 where they also were letting all in. It was a total breeze with no major crowding for the process.
No almost like right at 745 and within a minute the horns started honking and the lines were moving-it was really not as crowded as I thought it would be and was concerned that we were gonna be too late to get in the line-it was really unexpected and I would call it Disney magical as we got in the first row of the garage right in front of elevators on Donald Duck level. We literally enjoyed an immediate walk thru to security and uncrowded walk to the park where we got into the Disneyland park and were at Frontier Town by like 830-845. Rides opened at nine. I wish you the same magic!
What are your tips if staying at a hotel? I'm debating if paying for the grand is worth it to avoid this morning crowd or is it different if you stay at paradise pier?

I was staying at GCH this weekend. Hotel guest did temp screening and bag check at 7:45am. Then we were allowed to queue in the esplanade right after.
How long does it usually take to get to get through the main security lines in the late morning or early afternoon?
i think everyone just wanta to go though harbor to NOT deal with the NOW not busy mickey and friends... or not walk alot???

I got there last week on a Tuesday at 10:30. My wife and I walked right in. We took a Uber that let us off on Harbor a very short walk to entrance.

We literally enjoyed an immediate walk thru to security and uncrowded walk to the park where we got into the Disneyland park and were at Frontier Town by like 830-845. Rides opened at nine. I wish you the same magic!
