I'm Maori my whanau is from the east coast been brought up with my grand mother (kuia) I learnt how to . make fry bread and rewana, and boil up, and on the marae it was normal to help do the Hangi.. then when I ended up living in otara south Auckland I was introduced to sapasui and taro coconut cream, oka, and green banana, panikeke, island donuts., And luau, corned beef ...yumm Ive had mainese aswell ..I loved island Kai aswell as Maori Kai..I'm so happy you love our Kai❤️🙏Godbless

You know you can make one in in your oven. Just put in chicken stuffing some potatoes for the pumpkin cover of the foil and then put it in the oven and when it smells so good it’s cooked oh and don’t forget to season it 🥰👌🏼

I had alot to say. But one that stood out is. "You shud be in the kitchen wen I cook" I lost ma mommie to Covid last march. Ma daddy left dec yr before. He was a godly man. Mom was ma world, ma life, ma bff and I was her favorite. She can make the meanest half moon pie and all the polys wud call for her sapasui dish. Cherish these moments with your parents. I miss mines every day. It's hard coping life without them🥺🤧🤧

Hi Faye and Chullora..food always so yummy and that Anchor butter brings me back to my childhood..always love the stories and laughing at don't want your husband to return you back to me😂 I lived in a haunted apartment😱 but, they did not scare me it was always peaceful when I got home at 2 or 3 in the morning my porch lights would be on and sometimes I would see something pass by and thought it was just my imagination. My neighbor told me that there was an elderly couple that used to live in my place and they were a very nice loving couple so that is why I was not so scared and mum is right prayer always helps. I should’ve asked the owner if any one had passed away in the house he might of told me a story that we don’t know about. but no complaints the couple that own the place are a nice couple. In fact my husband and I had booked for that same place for our trip last year June but that’s when the Covid came along and we had to cancel our stay in their B&B. It’s where I found out and appreciated, the Chinese people, who were the first one’s to stay back after doing hard labor in Samoa, with our people and they became our people too. I have Asian looking family members too. So, God, who created us, made us different and we ought appreciate one another in some way... I even got my husband to watch Dragons in Paradise. I had alot to say. But one that stood out is. "You shud be in the kitchen wen I cook" I lost ma mommie to Covid last march. Ma daddy left dec yr before. He was a godly man. Mom was ma world, ma life, ma bff and I was her favorite. She can make the meanest half moon pie and all the polys wud call for her sapasui dish. Cherish these moments with your parents. I miss mines every day. It's hard coping life without them🥺🤧🤧

Hi Faye and Chullora..food always so yummy and that Anchor butter brings me back to my childhood..always love the stories and laughing at don't want your husband to return you back to me😂 I lived in a haunted apartment😱 but, they did not scare me it was always peaceful when I got home at 2 or 3 in the morning my porch lights would be on and sometimes I would see something pass by and thought it was just my imagination. My neighbor told me that there was an elderly couple that used to live in my place and they were a very nice loving couple so that is why I was not so scared and mum is right prayer always helps. We saw the ghost figures at this place in the BnB I saw them, and they didn’t do anything to scare me they were just passing by like they don’t even care I was even there. I should’ve asked the owner if any one had passed away in the house he might of told me a story that we don’t know about. but no complaints the couple that own the place are a nice couple. In fact my husband and I had booked for that same place for our trip last year June but that’s when the Covid came along and we had to cancel our stay in their B&B.

Hi Lila, I have indeed, watched that a couple of times. It’s where I found out and appreciated, the Chinese people, who were the first one’s to stay back after doing hard labor in Samoa, with our people and they became our people too.
I have Asian looking family members too. So, God, who created us, made us different and we ought appreciate one another in some way...
I even got my husband to watch Dragons in Paradise. He too got to understand, how it all started.... The documentary was sad in a way. Especially, when some didn’t want to leave 🥺
