I am a student at the University of Pretoria doing Actuarial Science which is considered one of the hardest degrees and I feel like most of these students spend more time complaining about how hard it is rather than actually doing the work, they just lack discipline and neglect the reason why they are here, you can't groove almost every weekend and still complain About The work because what else do you expect ?🙇🏿♀Not someone complaining about AIM111 and 121 Which are Excel, PowerPoint and Word 💀. Time management is the skill that one needs to master, we have submissions almost every day depending on how many modules you have, for instance Economics we have about 3 or 2 submissions every week for one topic, if you don't manage to understand the topic in the current week, the following week it's a new topic and the submissions are based on those so if you fall behind once it's for the whole semester. The only thing I feel they do more often than not is exclusion, yes even other universities exclude you but I've heard here students fail one module and they get excluded, for first years I feel they should know what are the consequences of failing at university because university has to maintain it's reputation and it doesn't do that by Having people who are not producing good results 😅
UP will tell you that there is space in a course, wait for you to pay the R300 application fee, and then tell you the course is full. A number of people have had this experience.
@@lindokuhlemyaluzalol I know this name from tt comment section 😂😂 As a tuks student...yes the pressure is real (as a "90% material" in high school here I dropped to 70s and 60s...and it stays like that, especially if you are doing a STEM degree) but try to have as much fun as you can cuz time Flies at Up (pun intended 😅)... groove, dating... do everything bro you won't regret it,but don't overdo things,cuz when you done with your degree it's chai you won't have time to do those things...pta is the best place for character development😂😂
