When Dorothy told that entitled customer why she wasn’t going to tell him to have a nice day. Is the reason why she will always be my favorite character.
My favorite part was Dorothy’s interaction with the customer. It makes me laugh every time because it was classic Bea Arthur! I sure do miss these ladies!
Yes me too. I like to imagine a giant cheesecake in heaven and God, Jesus, all the Angels and people all in fits of happy laughter with these four ladies. They are my role models. I miss them like they are family.
Very true. I think it’s why the show wasn’t a great success. The Golden Palace needed the entire Golden Girls cast to carry it. I think they also needed to reflect the 90s era more in the new show.
“A tip? A tip..let’s review, your performance shall we?…you back into my luggage, took the causeway during rush hours, stopped the car twice to sell fruit out of your trunk. A tip? Walk away now, and no one gets hurt” 😂😂😂😂😂😂👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
I wasnt even alive when this show was on(I was born 2003) but I watch reruns sometimes with my brother(hes 24 but his brain is like 60) old. this show is hillarious. Wasant that into it when I was younger but finding clips on youtube now.
Yes it’s weird. I wonder now if they’d have kept the format and done a Two and a Half Men thing and just replaced Dorothy if it might have worked. The format change was just too much. Gone were the cheesecake round the table and instead of ladies enjoying retirement you had them waiting tables. Too much for it to be believable.
Customer," Now say it like you mean it." Dorothy. "I'll go get your pie. Rose do we have anything that gets out stains?" Rose "No I don't think so, Why?" Customer "Hey this is my best suit." Dorothy, I spilled something," lol.
There's a reason Bea Arthur is an enduring legend....and this episode shows it. She was a guest star but was so, so great. I love 'The Golden Palace' for the cute, unique, hilarious show it is and hope it gets the recognition it deserves some day.
That's a good idea, but without Dorothy, the group is not the same, perhaps the show probably would had gone into decline and with low audiences, and for the fans, they really accepted that finale positively.
The storyline of Golden Palace never made sense to me: why would three ladies of a certain age buy and run an hotel? They had a comfortable life in the shared bungalow (I believe by the end of Golden Girls it was no longer just Blanche's house and they all owned it equally), and the didn't need the money, so why take on something that was such hard work?
The Dorothy have a nice Day scene does make me remember Maud too much. I think it was a mistake even though B is absolutely great in her scene. But I wish the writers had found out another ways to turn the goden palace into a complete successful show with or without B but they failed. The show was not as much fun as the golden girls. You could sometimes tell the actresses were playing their part. On the contrary they had found a way to be 100 percent natural and so relatable in the GG. One of the best show ever !
Also that's not that strange. People who don't date as much usually make deep emotional connections with someone when they do eventually find someone, thus more likely to commit. People like Blanche have a harder time settling down, so they are more likely to just "play the field" for as long as possible.
You can tell the audience is doing a standing ovation for Dorothy's arrival.
“Walk away now, and no one gets hurt”! 🤣🤣 Dorthy’s the best!
🤣🤣🤣🤣
I’m glad Dorothy is Back
That applause when Bea walked in was amazing 💖💖💖
When Dorothy told that entitled customer why she wasn’t going to tell him to have a nice day. Is the reason why she will always be my favorite character.
She stood up for retail/restaurant workers everywhere! I thank you, Dorothy!
When Rose said, We’re back together again. I know that’s what Betty said when she saw the girls in heaven.
😭😭😭😭❤️❤️😭😭😭

Bea Arthur Definitely Can Still Deliver Her Infamous Line’s 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Bee Arthur was definitely the most savage of the golden girls
I'm so sad these ladies are all gone 😢

Why isn’t She in it?
@@lindseypaputa4983 After 7 seasons, Bea Arthur wanted to move on from The Golden Girls. It’s why the original show ended with her exit.

I love when Sophia saw Dorothy and said pussycat and hugged a female hotel guest instead of Dorothy and said to the guest get the hell away from me.
Sheer comedy geniuses. Their timing and delivery of a line were incomparable!

The way she came in throwing jokes back out there lol the star
"Was Dorothy the smart one in your group?" 🤣
(Unlike Fuller house that show haven’t bring back Michelle and that’s not fair)
These ladies were the best on television...
Best of best, Golden comedy, therapy, lifts me up...laughter is Best medicine. Golden girls forever 💜
I love how Chuy hit on Dorothy when she came into The Golden Palace.
“I’ll get your pie”
10 seconds later - “that my best suite!”
Yep Dorothy will always be the glue of the golden girls no matter what.

Do you know what it's like being fluffed by Dorothy at 3 in the morning? LOL, Rose.
Such a great acting and really entertaining 🤍

This show proves that the Golden Girls never jumped the shark.

This is the only Golden Palace episode I watch. It’s just not the same without Dorothy. Bea Arthur makes the entire show.
They were all so good together. I loved Dorothy’s dry wit.
It's still good even without Dorthy, but it's a little extra good with her.
The show was so much better without her. She was such a beeyotch to Betty White.

Instead of buying a hotel, they should have just stayed at the house and rented to someone else. They might have made it at least two more seasons.
That's a good idea, but without Dorothy, the group is not the same, perhaps the show probably would had gone into decline and with low audiences, and for the fans, they really accepted that finale positively.
The hotel idea was contrived so that was hard to swallow in itself. But without Bea it faced an uphill challenge that was impossible to overcome.
No one could replace Dorothy.
@@kimkelly5512exactly, and anyone they brought in would have been unfairly compared to her.
