This is mesmerizing ... I have done offset four color printing, just getting the four colors registered is tough, hell even two is not easy and this is with computer printed plates and a huge print press bolted to the ground. I see no registration marks anywhere either, all this done by eye and hand ... is simply as stated a craft of patience and time honored traditional craftsmanship. Team effort between the pressman and artist using what on the surface appear simple tools and inks but readily intercepts the process and creates the most crisp and beautiful effect. When drawing in the stone, the texture of the grease on stone, almost imperceivable, is like the most well defined "screen" or gradient I could never ever achieve with the inkjet printed plates in offset printing. Two masters at work making masterpieces. I would love to own even the registration prints of single colors ... it speaks so much to this amazing process. Thank you, from Florida USA.
That 13th color registration, hurts me, how beautiful it is ... with the negative space, the boat, the face ... again, I am amazed. Few words, and my smile, are all I can muster. So many thanks ... so so many.
Thank you so much for posting this video. I have been trying to better understand lithography and at the same time explain it to friends and family members.
The print is "saved" on a printing pad in the purple dye. This one is swapped out with another during the subsequent color passes. You can catch a glimpse of it at 17:16
Hi. I recently write an article about lithography. I think that this video explains perfectly how lithography works. Can I download this video and share it in public, plz? I will indicate this source.
Ahoj. Nedávno jsem napsal článek o litografie. Myslím, že toto video dokonale vysvětluje, jak litografie funguje. Mohu toto video stáhnout a sdílet? Řeknu jim, odkud to video přišlo.

So good ❤
indeed amazed by all the efforts and how bizarre the outcome turns out
It's beautiful, but I'd love to know the model number of the press.
Como é bom digerir essa visão do fazer litografico.
It’s the united completion built by fragments of perfections.
Je to neuvěřitelně pracné, ale nádherné.
Is the printing done with paint or colored ink? Looks pretty thick like acrylic paint. Thanks for sharing.
What is the music at 12:35 please. I tried finding it with Shazam, it couldn't find it. Any lead would help. Thanks.
I am a printer too. How did you get the drawing in purple on the stone 13 times?
