I just made those last night. They came out great! I always used to buy them by Franz and Orchards and never knew how they were made. I did the prunes filling, but I had to make my own jam and coconut filling. Soooo Tasty. Thank you girl.
I remember the days going to town and stopping by Franz! I loved the coconut and guava versions. By any chance Frugally T, can you explain how you do the guava tart?
Great recipe, the crust was flaky and nice. I did the guava, which was okay. I do prefer real guava but not an option here in the US. I subscribe to your channel after looking at your other recipes.
I have been looking for this style tarts for sooo long....Thank you thank you thanks you. I keep asking people for tarts and they kept bringing me some flaky pies smh....Told them they don't understand what I am asking....thanks but no thanksss. Frans used to make the best tarts but now I am not Dominica I have to do it myself. Thanks again for this recipe going to try it out later
Val XyanZ yes you can use this for meat pies. If you’d like more of a layered look like croissants a puff pastry dough would be better. I’ll be doing a recipe on it soon.

Thank you I have 4lbs guava berries in the freezer. Would you have a way to use the berries instead of the jelly and paste ?
I enjoy the video, however you didn't say how long to bake them for and the temperature to cook them at
Great tart recipe! I have a question. You adding the egg yolk without adding Lemon zest. Will the pastry smell fresh?
Hi. Would you mind providing a link to where you purchased the cookie cutter?
Can u use the same ingredients to make apple pie
Apple pie is more of a flaky pastry and requires more steps
Can I use sugar water as the polisher instead of the egg yolk? I'm not really a fan of egg
Can I use brown sugar when making the pineapple filling from scratch?
Yes you can
Looks delicious!! And I agree with others on the Franz vibes this is giving me! Do you think a coconut version of this can be done? Any tips?
Yes I actually just shipped some coconut ones and they were good. Will have to do a video on it.
If I use the food processor do I still need to cube the butter?
LuClu81 yes
Can the egg be omitted?
Janice Roberts yes it can
Can this recipe be used for meat pies? Well minus the sugar?
Val XyanZ yes you can use this for meat pies. If you’d like more of a layered look like croissants a puff pastry dough would be better. I’ll be doing a recipe on it soon.
@@frugallyt6348 thank you. And a pata banan recipie too lol. Oh I tried your butter flaps and enjoyed it. Thanks
