      Oh, almost all the new Pro features added in Trello over the last year are free features in Airtable. I tested them out before completely leaving Trello. I use Airtable for everything now.

    What about ht ml emails, marketing emails?

    • @BenGreenSystems
      @BenGreenSystems  ปีที่แล้ว

      To do this, you would need to use Zapier.

    • @BenGreenSystems
      @BenGreenSystems  ปีที่แล้ว

      I am not sure that I would recommend doing this however. I prefer actual marketing email automation tools where you do not have to use the actual html code

    Hello can i ask on how to create an automation that sends a "reminder email" to the sales of representative of the lead?

    • @BenGreenSystems
      @BenGreenSystems  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You would use a datetime add formula and an if formula comparing the datetimeadd formula to the Now() formula to trigger an automation based on the value if true in the if formula

    Hi Ben!
    Very interesting and useful, thanks a lot!
    I'm trying to do as you say, but it's not working (the "to" file is empty). I've tried both ways, don't know what else to try. Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance!

      Hey Fernando, this may be because your test record did not have an email in it. I will record a more advanced video for Airtable email automations.

      Hey Fernando! You might have already found the solution (since you wrote this comment 5 months ago😁), but I was just having the same issue. My automation wasn't recognizing the email address text values in the fx field I created. One work around I found is on the Trigger step, in the "Configuration" portion, adding a condition where I specified that fx email address specific field "is not empty". Hope this makes sense!

    Is there a way to see if these emails are being sent/ opened. Like on Mail chimp you can get reports on how they are going? I want to send emails to my clients at different parts of their customer journey but just wondering if I should move that to airtable or stay with Mailchimp. Thanks :)

    • @BenGreenSystems
      @BenGreenSystems  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The only way I have found Airtable allowing email tracking is using the Sendgrid App. This app does not have the automation potential like Gmail does in Airtable Automations sadly. I believe it is best to keep Mailchimp for the time being if you enjoy those features :)

    Hi Ben! Thanks for your video. I have a question though (it seems i can find it nowhere else so I hope you can help me): For work I would have to automate airtable, we use it to log projects and each project has a different supervisor. Now i would have to automate the system to send automatic emails whenever something changes in the record (row) of that specific supervisor. I tried this via the conditions trigger with: WHEN supervisor is X
    OR ... basically every field
    So that when something is updated for their project that specific person gets an email. However, this does not seem to work? As it only gives an update when only 1 field changes and not when for example 3 field get updated.
    How can I fix this?
    I am looking forward to your response!
    Thank you 🙂

      Hi Katoo! Great Question!
      My best recommendation is to really get into the filters that you have in your automation as well as the trigger (whether it is an update to a record or created record). It sounds like you need a trigger of "when a record is updated" but then add a filter on the supervisor field in each automation for each supervisor, respectively. If you need additional help, go to www.optimizeis.com/main and book a free call with me!

    Hi Mate
    When I try to put single or multi select fields, it doesn't show up eventually and it appears to be blank.
    Do you have any suggestion for a solution?
    Appreciate that!

    • @BenGreenSystems
      @BenGreenSystems  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, are you trying to insert those fields in the email body? Make sure you are testing a record with those fields not empty.

      @@glendertravel496 Haha it can be kinda buggy sometimes especially when pulling in dynamic field data. I have noticed it sometimes magically moves my fields around in the email.

    Hi Ben, thanks for this - very helpful! Have you been able to work out how to send emails so that they appear in the same thread on Gmail? Using this for biz dev, and it would great to be able to follow up emails in the same chain as the first email rather than appearing as a conversation separate from the first one. Thank you!

    • @BenGreenSystems
      @BenGreenSystems  ปีที่แล้ว

      I have been asked many times to explore this but the no code limitations in make & Zapier have always lead me into dead ends. From what I remember, it is usually difficult to save the thread ID from an email you sent, or something like that. So then you can not map it into the next zap

    Hi Ben! I am new here, trying to build an Airtable for my job in techinical services for rental homes which means that people use a form on my website to make a service request. They fill out their names, their number, email adress and the technical service they need. I would like to send them a automatic message that we have received their request. Is that possible ad well? I am not sure how to set it up. Normally for e-mails we use outlook. What is your advice here?

    • @BenGreenSystems
      @BenGreenSystems  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey LNDYKN! That is definitely possible! I am working on an advanced email automation video right now to cover this type of use case. Stay tuned to the channel! You can also use Outlook for this through the direct Airtable automation integration

    Ben - Thanks for the video. One question: If I can do email marketing by Airtable, is there any reason that I can still opt for Mailchimp?

    • @BenGreenSystems
      @BenGreenSystems  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you can! Instead of using Airtable's email service, you could use Zapier or Make to connect with Mailchimp! Is that your question?

    • @false-prophet-abc
      @false-prophet-abc 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BenGreenSystems Actually, I was wondering email marketing by Airtable vs email marketing by Mailchimp. I mean, what does Mailchimp (compared to Airtable) uniquely offer for email marketing? Hope that I clearly communicate my question. Thanks in advance!
