Hi Ben! I'm glad to see you back on TH-cam sharing such fantastic content! I'm not sure if this is possible, but I've been struggling to create a sharable interface that only displays requests submitted to Airtable by users from their respective departments. For your reference, I have a separate table containing all users and their linked departments. We have around twenty departments, and about three to six different requesters per department and when I share the interface, I would like each department to see all requests made by anyone within that department, rather than requests made by themselves. I've been experimenting with this, but I can't seem to get it to work properly and probably not possible but throwing this out there.

Hi Ben, at 13:41 why did you opt to choose the Air Table Record ID over the Name? I would have thought that be selecting the Record ID, it would have spat out that random string of text and numbers? Any clarity would be great! Love your content. Just subbed.

Hi Ben, Thank you for the Airtable tutorials which are really useful. Are you using a laptop to produce the videos? If so, the internal microphone is picking up the keyboard strokes every time that you write that are very intrusive when trying to follow your valuable instructions. Could you use an external throat microphone? I am using a PC with a top of the range sound system that has a sub-woofer so the thumps from the key strokes are fairly substantial. Keep up the good work. Kind regards, Keith

What are the pros and cons of linking records with a script vs with a non-scripted airtable automation?

Another way is to link clientName column to a table called clientName, then lookup to client table coientnameid and manually drag to the target linked column.
