Tonight's Transcendental Etudes recital was indeed an EPIC premier. There's no words to describe this intimate, moving interpretation of TE #9, sitting mere feets away, people smiled, cried, Maestro's artistry definitely came from his soul and ours were touched. We are privileged and proud to have witnessed Maestro's stunning achievement. ❤🌹
That's a milestone! The transcendental etudes are my favorite piano pieces, it's my dream play all of them in the future. Congratulations for these great performances maestro!!

@ But they aren't overplayed so much. You'd have less competition. If you listen to Arrau, Pogorelich _(NY live May 1990)_ , Berman 1959 or France Clidat (!) there isn't much you can do to impress anyone with these transcendental etudes.

I’ve listened to no 11 countless times from Traum, glad to see that the set is finished.
What a journey too, from a thrilling mazeppa to a three hour speedrun of learning and then uploading preludio, then a 100K Eroica special.
Safe to say that Traum is ready to show the whole set off in concert.

My favourite piece and my favourite performance
I'm no scholar of Liszt, but I've listened to these etudes a good few times, particularly by Trifonov and Arrau. These recordings sound flawless to me: gripping, soulful, surging with momentum where they should, likewise light and tender. Just brilliant! Bravo!

LET'S GO! It's a lovely etude, but I think you should check out the version he wrote when he was 15, s.136 no. 9. It's much simpler, and I personally like it better.

Wow, bravo! I really like your interpretation. Your execution of the transcendental etudes is nearly perfect. You have truly mastered a huge set of works, that I could only dream to play at the level of brilliance you played it at aI’m an aspiring pianist and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been inspired by listening to your videos. I’m excited to hear you play all of them at your concert. Some other works from Liszt that I’d love to hear are his transcriptions of Beethoven symphonies, specifically 7th mvmt2 and 9th mvmt4. They sound really nice, and actually are surprisingly playable considering the fact that are transcriptions of symphonies.

Omg, this is so great! I personally feel that some of the parts should've been played at a faster tempo (probably because that's the way it was played in the first recording of this piece that I ever listened to) but that's entirely just personal preference. Amazing!
