  • Welcome to the second part of this 2 part video. You can find part 1 here: • Moelwyns Trail Run: Pa...
After getting to the summit of Moelwyn Mawr I descended to the Snowdonia slate trail and made my way down and along the valley separating Cnicht and the Moelwyns. The descent was really fun and fast and Cnicht stayed glued to my vision knowing the plan was to climb back up but at the time I could enjoy the run and headed on down to the bottom of the Valley not far from Creosor. Once at the bottom I refuelled a bit, swapping out water bottles and nutrition. I checked my watch and this was the 20km mark. I set off, almost doubling back on myself as I made my way along the valley floor. Once at the head of the valley and the trail I opted to ascend straight up the mountain side, a good idea at the time, thinking I’d save my legs distance but as always it was rough, hard going. Finally reaching the ridge line I was able to run back along towards Cnicht and reach the third and final summit of my day.
From here it was a nice downhill all the way back to the Snowdonia Slate trail and it was around here I reached the 30km mark and I was certainly starting to feel it. I didn't make it clear in the video but this was my longest run to date at around 36km along with a great deal of elevation gain and as you get towards the last section of the video I think this was showing a fair bit in my demeanor. All in all it was a fun day out, great to explore a new area and also push myself a little bit further.

I feel like I say the same damn thing every, time but your content is just that good!!! Excellent edit, beautiful views, and entertaining to watch from start to finish. One side note, do you run with a wind muff on the GoPro? I just got one and it helped a lot.

Sage, thank you so much, man. I really appreciate it and most of all glad you enjoy my videos!
I don't have a wind muff (dead cat?) yet! I've got my eye on getting one because lord know's it's windy as hell where I am. They're not too expensive, right? So I've got no excuse really. I'll pick one up. Thank you for reminding me. Hope you're good and staying safe.

@@matsmith1984 I have a dead cat for the Hero 7 but I am experimenting with a foam cover on the Hero 9. Very inexpensive alternative if it works. So far no issues
