This song "Midab Gumeysi Diida - Reject the Color of Imperialism" was recorded in 1974. It was when the African Union Summit was held in Mogadishu, Somalia. It is talking to the leaders and people of Africa and it says: if you think that the colony has left you, he is with you, changing the name to "Imprialisam"! Somalia played a major role in independence many African countries from European colonialism, especially during the year it held the presidency of the African Union.
What a great fantastic history of the Somalis when they were great government in the world, Insha Allah wataalla the y will return to make a great nation and government,

We have so many people 80s babies 90s babies my generation we have engineering pharmaceuticals, doctors a lot of change can be done in a short amount of time if we listen to each other and work together.
Make plan to go back to Somalia insha Allah. Just like you since I left as a very young kid, I haven't been back. Until I went back recently and it has truly made me fall back in love with my people, restore a sense of belonging but more importantly understand the devastating impact and legacy the clannish civil war caused. We have a long way to go, many injustices to correct but I will never forget one day when I read on a wall "dalkasta dadkiisa dhisa". Living in the West and foreign countries, will allow some of us to live luxurious lifestyle and prosper. But who will take personal responsibility and willing to invest personally in rebuilding of his country? Just like previous generations did, we all have civic duties. Like you said, many have the necessary education and experience to benefit Somalia. Just need to go back and do it. I understand security is still a risk, but life is always a risk.

Freedom fighters of south Aftica, mosampique, Rodisia as Simbabwe, guinea- pisaw and Angola also attended the Summit. Siyad Barre almost cried in his speach of the opening speech. I am from somalia. This song was sung while we were awake, unfortunately we are listening while we are asleep, we can't help Africa today & other Africa can't really help Somalia, some are still colonizing our land. such as Ethiopia and Kenya. The reason why Somalia was destroyed is that it helped the African countries that were being colonized. Today, when I am recovering, the enemy of my country is africa, because off you have my arms and legs as to satisfy western. On your peacekeeper only stay somalia to get a salary and get budjet western. So please and please stop crocodile tears!

Couldn't have agreed with you more, we are strong independent fair people. We have far too much self respect to tolerate or accept legacy of colonialism. Hence why they had to create division and support the break up of our country. Every country has and had issues, we are mo exception but what the Brits, Italian including Amhara/TPLF did was systematic way to ensure we never mature ad a young nation. It would mean we become one of the most influential nation in Africa. Even many so called Muslim/Arab countries opposed us such as Libya and golf countries (to this day even). But do not despair, insha Allah we will return but we have to bear our internal demons called qabyaalad first. This song should be translated into many languages specially in Portugese. I remember Fidel Castro sent his foriegn minister to African summit in Mogadishu 1974. Freedom fighters of south Aftica, mosampique, Rodisia as Simbabwe, guinea- pisaw and Angola also attended the Summit. Siyad Barre almost cried in his speach of the opening speech. Soviet union was in support of the summit.
I ❤ Somalia, we will come back.
Portugal curses Siyad Barre and Somalia to this day because of what he did for Africa. Siyad Barre is legend as well as lasting legacy.
He’s not legend stop

Somali have given south Africa the independence and they have not given back when they needed almost Africa's support accept Eritrea
@Naledi-ep2vf No problem, sir South Africa's civilians robbed somali business men in South Africa using operation called dudula led by the zulu people
South africans actually love somalis
If we hated somalis would we call you our friends its an honor to be friends to south africans we are very loving
Only problem we have is with nigerians and zimbabweans which I assume you also have
@Angie.moeti. you can't imagine how many somali business men. Are killed in south Africa and how they take all the things in their business and you telling us south Africans love somali people😮 whenever you ask a somali person what about South Africa the only thing that comes to his mind is killed somalis and it's really sad i know they are so many good south African people but still it's the reality that you guys killed so many of us may Allah have mercy on them aamiin
@sacdiyocabdikariim9588 oksalayo
South africa belongs to south africans
If you want to fight we can fight but I won't condemn south afriacans knowing the true story of somali businessmen and crime how they open illegal businesses and sell fake foods
So maybe you're right maybe we do hate somalis
I'm proud to be south african either way
@sacdiyocabdikariim9588 but you somalis also killed many south africans
Truth is I can take back that statement it won't bother me because a relationship with somalia or somalis Won't benefit anything to south africans
We have to put ourselves first
Europeans know if Somalia is stable we will unite and help Africa I think this was our mistake and we learned from it.
It's qabil 😢😢 that destroyed our country not europe

@@maskblack2472
Yes it is qabik, but that is the vehicle used by our enemies to destroy us. We, Somalia, have to take full responsibility of our short comings. We open our doors for our enemies
The moment most Somalis seeing their own through the prism of qabiil and where he is from instead of "he/she is my kin, a Somali" is when we will all prevail insha Allah.

Daleys:
Somali: Magacood ba'e wuxu yahay
English : Is a terrible sound (wrong)
Somali: Wanka macasha ii qabo
English: Replace the lamb with me (wrong)
My Corrections: Hold the ram (male sheep) by the throat for me.
Somali: Adigu gawrac ii mari
English: Slaughter me??? (Wrong)
My corrections: and Slaughter it for me
Somali: Dhiigana aan muudsado
English: and let the blood be spilled?(Wrong)
My corrections: and then I'll suck all the blood
The above lines are basically talking about how the colonialists were using africans as workers and then later, after africans do all the job for them like mining etc. they will take all the resources (such as gold, oil, and all other resources in african) back to their countries.
Somali: Sirti aad ku marateen
English: The things you have been through
My corrections: that secrecy that you have been massacred by
Somali: Maya hadaad tidhaahdaan
English: When you say no
My corrections: if you say no
Somali: Ma afkaa maroorsami (2x)
English: Don't twist your words (2x) (wrong)
My corrections: will your mouths get crooked?
Th meaning of the above lines can be explained with this famous proverb;
Fool me once, shame on you;
Fool me twice, shame on me.
The writer of the song is directly talking to the african leaders and he is basically saying what will happen to you if you say enough is enough and you say to the colonialists "NO" would ur mouths get crooked or something??

We used to help all of Africa but they all betrayed us during the Ogaden war. How shameful but a lesson for the somali people indeed.
Ogden is Ethiopian land. You can come again and again. You are just losing your life. Just dream on. Ethiopian power is not easy, it is hard even for your colonial boss. Cheers.
Eritrea has never betrayed Somalia and this was the only Africa country to support Somalia for 30 years, because Somalia helps Eritrea in his struggle and like Somalia, all Africa states betrayed Eritrea people when Eritrea made his liberation war against Ethiopia.
