I own both S-R10 and Pista RR and i feel you cant really compare both helmets. Im seeing many hating or dissin the Pista but in reality, if you want to compare, compare to the X-15. The Pista is an all race helmet and was built for track riders, now there are many out there who own one and ride it on street but will say all day, it is built for track and i bought one because i want to own one. I bought mine because i did want to own a top of the line helmet myself. The Pista cuts through the wind and is loud but it does not bother me, and yes, it does not have pockets for ear buds or a comm system but again, AGV built it for track only. My opinion, the S-R10 is a great helmet, very comfortable and stable and can have speaker pods added to it but i choose my Pista all day long because of the aerodynamics and i get no shake in the wind where as the Alpinestars helmet, i do a little bit. Compare it to X-Fifteen since both are very similar to each other. The Pista is a totaly different helmet from both of those. Ive talked to Alpinestars and Shoei and both have told me, they do not try to compare to Pista, but try to compete against Suomy, Scorpian, LS2 KYT and others out there.
Technically they’re both race helmets but I definitely get your point of view! I feel the same way about the pista I love it for daily driving too just because it cuts so good through the wind
@@auroras1kk yes, very true about both technically being race helmets. I also own an Arai Corsair-X and I feel it would compete well with the S-R10 helmet. I rode with my Alpinestars helmet today, it's very quiet but still has a slight shake when hitting the winds. Today here in San Antonio was very windy and I could feel it shake at times. It fits very snug so I know I have the correct fit. My pista does so much better even on windy days. I had the Pista GP RR. In my opinion it was one of the worst street helmets I owned. I bought the shoei x-15 and it beat the Pista in every way possible. It’s a straight motogp helmet but had speaker cutouts, it was quiet and just as light. I ordered my SR10 and I’m waiting to get it in. In my opinion the shoei x-15 is the best helmet available but I hoping I like my SR10 more because I I dig the looks.
I hate how loud it is but honestly for cutting through the air it does amazing! Honestly so far it feels comfortable haven’t been able to ride with it yet but I’ve worn it around my house and I like the feel of it !
Pista GP RR just looks so ugly to me. I went with X15 as my first helmet, but I’m considering this A/s R10

Racing helmets are not supposed to fit loosely just FYI. It’s supposed to be really tight.
They’re both tight my head is in the middle of the 7 1/8 and 7 3/8 so the medium max size is 7 1/8 and it actually bruises my ear which I don’t think it’s suppose to do that’s why I upsized but you can also always add extra padding
Well you have 1 street helmet and 2 full race helmets. I also have an RF1400 and an AGV. RF is nice but damn the AGV is tiiiiiggght. Nice helmets
thats easily the sweetest helmet on the planet, the limited edition 200's were sick looking, but this is just as good. I'm not jealous at all, not at all, not even one bit
The limited editions are so nice but missed out on those I’m pretty sure they were more expensive too! You’ll get yours eventually!

I love alpine stars and their gear! I just thought it looked like a super cool helmet to add to my collection and make more content on it for anyone interested in it like me! I love the pista but honestly it’s only worth it if you want it for looks or if you’re looking to go fast 24/7. It’s a super comfortable light helmet but for com’s and speakers you hear the wind more than anything.

I think I got the wrong size cause idk it’s my first helmet. I can’t put it on that easily it takes a little bit of force but once inside it’s a lil tight but nothing too bad
It’s suppose to be tight if it’s not giving you a headache it’s probably the right size. the cheek pads will eventually break in and it’ll be a little loose once it does! But I noticed then run a lil smaller my brother is a large and he couldn’t even get the r10 to slide on

Depends on your budget agv k1s is about 280$ out the door and alpine about 1,100-1,300$ they will both protect you but the agv will probably be a lot louder at higher speeds

Depends if you’re on the front end of large a large should fit but if you’re on the back end then I would say an Xl

I had this helmet for a month now. Noticed the both upper corners of the visors slightly rubs on the helmet from opening and closing and in result you can see some white rubbing marks on the visor. Does it happen with yours too?
No mine doesn’t have that issue

Not yet unfortunately the weather has been bad and my bike is still in the shop but I should have a first impressions video up by the beginning of march! :)

It’s not it doesn’t move around and my hat sizes range from 7 1/8- 7 3/8ths so medium would’ve been to small

I believe they all come with the longer wing/spoiler and the short one ! The solid colors look dope as fuck I wanted the black solid color but it sold out so I got the element cause I didn’t like the other colors !
@@auroras1kk I got the solid black carbon. It didn't come with the bag or race size spoiler, I wanted the red element. I think with the bag and larger spoiler it's worth the extra $200

That kinda sucks I feel like they should all come with it cause the solid black carbon is crazy nice as it is and for the price in my opinion I think it should come included have you looked at any other solid colors unboxing videos to see if it’s the same as yours? Cause sometimes they miss items! But I think I had seen somewhere even solid colors came with both spoilers now the bag I’m not sure of 😕
@@auroras1kk Yeah the unboxing vids showed two bag types. Even the Ravzilla review showed it with a bag, but I guess A* changed it up at the last moment. The bags that come with the solid colors are a typical sack you get with other helmets but it doesn't really fit as it's too tight to use. I did get two visors, chin curtain, pinlock and tear offs though. not the nice track bag or the larger spoiler.
Yeah I just checked and I guess they changed it last minute which sucks in my opinion because I really wanted the solid black color it looks so good! But the bag and extra spoiler are definitely worth it although I never keep my helmet in the bags lol

My head size is in between 7 1/8 - 7 3/8ths so a mediums max is 7 1/8 it would’ve been a little too small but if you watch the video not even 1 finger fits inside and it doesn’t move around either when I shake my head also I’m only 5’2 just got a big head I guess lol 😂 so maybe that’s why it looks bigger than it should my shoei is a medium and I’ve worn it a lot and it’s still very uncomfortable with the tightness and manages to bruise up my ears when I wear it

I’m in the US I believe the drop date was two-three weeks ago and it shipped and delivered within 2 days :)
I ordered mine from Alpinestars Europe, it’s the solid white. Delivery in 2-3 days…they say…😂
@kdemiranda dang maybe because different places cause I live in California and where it shipped from is about 3 hours from where I live and it got here 2 days later they also require signature over here in the california I’m not sure if it’s the same in Europe
how did u put the cardo in the pista? I heard theres no cutouts for it. Is the alpine stars cardo compatible?
Alpine stars does have the speaker cutouts so yes it’s compatible and cardo includes some stick mounts with the 3m on the back and the other side is the fuzzy side that sticks to the speakers so I used that to keep it in place on my agv

@@gratz141 yeah I do but honestly if they’re still used in motogp for profesional race/track riders and it meets all safety standards that are required it should tell you it’s still a good helmet it has ECE, DOT and the same FIM standards that AGV has and I already saw someone crash in one of them and it held up pretty well too

Better protection for your head in case of a crash better at cutting through the wind and some are made from carbon fiber so extra light and doesn’t strain your neck
@@auroras1kk have you had the opportunity to test every helmet on the market ? How do you know which helmet is efficient at reducing wind resistance and drag and their are many carbon fiber helmets on the market these days , how do you know which is the best at protecting your head
I personally haven’t but most of these helmets are used in moto gp and tested when riders crash so they are tested but fortunately I have not gone down to test it myself

My head is bigger than my body what can I say 😂 but I feel like this helmet shell is bigger than what it should be they run small though I usually wear a medium but medium did not fit me on this specific helmet
