Alex, I was delighted to see this title -- as both a chord melodist and a huge Lester Young fan (he's my favourite tenor). As usual, your keen ear enables you to get to the heart of a challenging tune -- I've heard some pretty squishy harmonisations on this one! I'm always grateful for the level of detail you bring to every aspect of your arrangements as well as your discussions thereof.
Thank you so much my friend! 🙏🏻🧡 We share very similar tastes!.. Lester is my favourite tenor sax player too.. his tone was always so warm and smooth. Really happy that you enjoyed my arrangement of this one.. that means a lot 🙏🏻

Thanks. A long time ago I was in a band in Glasgow and the bass player was a fan of Joni Mitchell. He let me borrow her Mingus album. And it took years for me to eventually listen to the man himself. After all these years I never tire of this music. Excellent. Keep up the good work

Hey Alex.. try Half Wounds on the ES125.. they give a little sparkle without being too trebly on top and a nice firm bass note with a little scoop of mids to bring out the wood tone of the Gibson.
