      Glad to hear it. The voltage concern is a big one for people and I've seen bad information shared about them a lot. That's why I wanted to post some of these videos.

    We just got the 7100b. Can confirm it works fine on USA power.
    The mounting base seems a bit janky and twisted though. Have you considered making a custom base for it? Thanks,

    Any recommendations for where to get new chains? I have one that doesn't have many/any sharpenings left in it, but most listings of new Makita chains are in the vicinity of $500. Maybe my intuition is wrong, but that seems excessive.

      Timbertools.com is the only place I know of that carries the chains. I'm certain there are more places but that's the only one I've dealt with.

      Sorry I missed this. I bought it used. It was purchased direct from Japan.
