Lay is part of SM and he’s also apart of the government and SM supports THAAD which threatens China’s safety. WayV is not promoted in China as NCT because this would cause tension between the countries as SM practically produced WayV. Ten and Lucas have no problem being apart of Super M and also known as WayV is because they’re not from Mainland China. Renjun and Chenle are also not affected yet because they are currently not promoting in China. However, China currently is slowly lifting the ban which is probably why Lay may be in EXO’s comeback (but I’m not really sure) and WayV promoting in Korea.
