    Looks like the start of an exciting adventure for you. Do these trains have WiFi, are meals and beverages included?

    I personally have been on that very train as well. I went from Vancouver to Toronto. On my way to Halifax N.S.
    In May 2000

    Booked Vancouver to Toronto return on the Canadian in a Cabin for 1 - 'Discounted' (Sleeper Plus) a few days ago.
    I have been thinking about dong this for close to 30 years and finally made the reservation.
    Itinerary is Unit 4 Car 211 one way and Unit 3 Car 110 return, so it should be a similar room to what you had.
    Nice that you can lie in bed and look out the window with such a great view. Guess this room even has the nicest scenic view you can get from a toilet, LOL. Even the public toilets and larger cabins bathrooms don't have windows.

    Very informative and useful video. Thanks for posting it. I am excited about my TO-Vancouver trip this week. Mine is also a cabin for one. Quick question: Will they allow a 22inch suitcase in there? Or would I need to pack a train only bag? Thanks again 🎉😊

      Not sure. I seem to recall that in the bundle of text on the ticket or confirmation there was baggage information. I had good, timely responses from them when I was trying to get setup for GF meals. I'd send them a question if you have a concern.

    Love it! Did you get the Cabin for 1 discounted or did you get the full amount one? If you know anything about that stuff could you tell any difference in service between the two?

    • @TrizityTraveling
      @TrizityTraveling  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I seem to recall paying the full amount...I don't recall a discounted fare for the sleeper for 1. Might have been due to the off season when I traveled. Could also be that the discounted is a sleeper berth? Something you'll have to look into some more, sorry I can't be of more help.

    Got one of these book for Halifax to Montreal this month. Pumped about it but as a 6"1" dude I don't know exactly how comfy the 5' bed will be.

      Could be snug. But have fun!

    You actually sounded like you didn’t want to be there for the whole video
    And just what were you expecting at the historic Winnipeg station
    I suppose it was lack of experience and train travel culture
    I did like your videography though and the music that played along
    Did you get any enjoyment from the trip …. What was the highlight
    I haven’t done that particular trip though I’ve been on many trains

      @TrizityTraveling  ปีที่แล้ว

      Lack of train experience, exactly! My expectations did not match my reality. Which is why it's important to give every travel experience a try! Thanks for coming by!

    07:05 Shoes without socks! So when did you become a hipster? I do hope you showed how to set up the bed.

      You should see my foot tan line! By the end of summer it will be amazing.
      Alas I did not have enough hands or a good place to put the camera to show the bed coming down.

    Looks like you had a great trip im booked again for sept ,tor to melville return bedroom for two out and back . just a quick question , are they still using a extra car behind the park car

    • @TrizityTraveling
      @TrizityTraveling  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. I understand they added it as a "safety" buffer. Sure does block the view out the back...

    Can you use the toilet in the middle of the night when the bed is down?

    • @TrizityTraveling
      @TrizityTraveling  ปีที่แล้ว

      Only if you put the bed up first...there are public toilets at the end of each car so you don't have to put it up in the middle of the night.

    Whats the cost of the single cabin

    • @TrizityTraveling
      @TrizityTraveling  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      At that time of year (April) the single from Winnipeg to Vancouver was $1500 US. Higher in the peak season I understand.

    its looking so bad(probably smells babd too) when there is a toilet under your bad, with that stink you probably feel like you are staying in a washroom for 4 days lol. You do not deserve this for paying this much. Train in Canada is a joke, just travel with planes.

    looking at the price on 2023-12-12 is 2866.50 also without wifi doesn't seem value for money and wifi is a basic thing must offer.

      Hey, thanks for commenting! I totally agree, WiFi is essential these days. It's like having a phone without a charger - not very practical! Offsetting this is the fairly regular 5G coverage, so at least your phone does get connected regularly. You might check out the other two video's in the series as well. This was just the sleeper tour.
