System did ask for a code and for Odyssey the code is tied to the VIN Number, so Update DVD cannot be resold. Code cannot be used on another car.

One thing I noticed doing the update on my 2016 Touring Elite. If you have a usb drive plugged into the system, remove it first. The update would not start with the USB drive plugged in.

Ugh, everything went fine with the update (just like your video), but now the four hour background update part is stuck at 10% and keeps throwing up a "HDD Access Error" and rebooting the system. Re-running the update doesn't work (just says "invalid map data disc" or something like that). Man, I really wish I hadn't done this + wasted $100 on the disc.
What have been updated besides the map? I've the 2016 Elite and wonder if it were worthwhile to update. Thanks.
Nothing. The UI and everything is the same after the update.

I prefer the 2016/2017 Odyssey for many reasons but, from 2018 on, Honda uses Garmin, and you get 5 years of free updates via SD card.

I still can't get how to enter address quickly by voice on my 2015 Odyssey EX-L, it always asks me to spell it letter by letter and press the voice button for every letter. It's annoying.
Maybe I am doing something wrong.
I had to re-add my bluetooth phone after the update is all. Only the maps updated. None of the UI changed at all.

I have a problem with my hard disk..Whenever i turn it on ,spinning goes for about a minute then it stops . Currently its turned on but it's not showing up on my Computer .

does it asked for the code at the end? I did same update for my Insight 2016, the supplier of this DVDs does not provided any special codes and instructions (I just bought it on e-bay :)). So, after the restart audio system asked me for the regular code (the one you need to enter when 12v battery dies for any reason) and that's it.
as I understood map only for US? is it possible to get map for Europe?
as I am living in Europe, maybe better option to install carplay?

Nope there is an extra one right beside the compass after. Has some kind of percentage. If you look @2:15 you look beside the compass prior to the upgrade it's not there.
I just figured out that extra icon. I am doing mine now. That extra icon is the maps still loading in the background. It says that will take up to 4hrs to finish but the discs and engine doesn't have to be running for this. Every time you drive it will continue once the van is on and copy from the installed hdd (hard drive) until done.

I am looking at getting this update discs, are you happy with the updated map database , etc.
I saw no big difference in our area.
I will come back and let you know. I know mine has not been upgraded and I just bought the discs because they say this is the last update for a 2014. I have noticed there are TONS of roads not in my current map database. So I think it may take me a longer way around sometimes because it doesn't know of the streets. I just got done with disc 2. It has to complete that update then I'll do discs 3 and 4.
Good evening I have a 2011 iMac 27” with the black screen issue, Is it worth taking it to get fixed.
It's a Mac. so no. Go get a real monitor and pc that can be fixed/replaced for a lot cheaper.
