Yeah Sims is an AMAZING job in this pack they did a great job with traditional items I wish they told us which culture though still great job and I'm super grateful` for the pride moth update a great job

No, but honestly, love this build.
I really feel like they should make the well functional and maybe add a water catchment system for off-grid use. Then the plumbing would work and you could do your laundry and clean stuff.

For when needing to clean things or do stuff like should be off the grid but aren't, I just take off the off the grid thing in build mode, do the thing, and turn it back on. For some it may seem like cheating but you have every right to clean and repair items and get fully clean when taking a shower - even off the grid
I appreciate that you give your true opinion and you call out when something is not right, or lacking. I think this game is beautiful. So much detail from the shadows on the swimsuit ties to the items that a sim finds in the world and the world itself is stunning! I would buy the pack too (as I have). That being said, the pack scores high in all categories except gameplay. I do think this is more of a well made game pack rather than an expansion because for me an expansion should be more things that affect every world you own in your game like Season and Cats & Dogs did. That being said, I would suggest ppl get this pack on sale for the price of a game pack but totally need to buy it for all the beautiful items it adds and for the beautiful world which I love. I hope they add more game play later.
I love tropical stuff, especially Pacific Island inspired stuff, so much I couldn't care less about the gameplay!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this pack! Sulani is the only place I want to play right now! I agree there are a few things that need patches...but for what it is right now...It is wonderful!!! I dont even want to travel any where else in "the world" cause they all seem "bla" in comparison!

I downloaded this build and turned it into a library/research center for the conservationist career! So mine isn’t off the grid, but everything is about doing as little damage as possible, cause my sim needed a place to work since he lives off the grid. Love these huts!

Deli, I had the same gallery glitch where it would mark all my lots with custom content, even when there was no custom content on it.
However, I found the problem - I went through all my custom content (I only have CAS custom content) and one of the lipsticks I had downloaded were the reason why all my builds were marked as custom content. You might wanna try going through your custom content too!:)

I would love to make aroha a mermaid! Maybe her dad wants her to be a mermaid and she goes to the cave to search the things that can make you a mermaid. I would love to see this because we didn't see that much of gameplay of a mermaid! love you deli!

Can you not use ALT to center the windows on the walls? I could've sworn you could. But anyway I actually like the fact that they're not centered on some walls. Makes it look more rustic :)

I think Island Living is totally worth it for anybody who has the money for it and loves building. I love building and love the world. I think we are just missing fully cohesive expansion packs in the sims 4. For example, we have packs that have an amazing aesthetic and environment, have very little gameplay or a couple gameplay features. I LOVE City Living for San Myshuno, but outside of the festivals (which aren't the smoothest running) and apartments, there isn't much gameplay (that being said, it is still my favorite pack). Island Living is the same way, with an amazing aesthetic but the new gameplay features are quite limited (mermaids, the BBQ pit?, off-the-grid, swimming). The careers in Island Living are also really underwhelming.... The Fisherman career has 3 levels. With the way that careers work in TS4, that just seems like a real lack of effort. Windenburg from Get Together is also AMAZING, but Clubs are the only real gameplay feature. Then, on the totally opposite side, we have packs with all gameplay and no aesthetic, like Get to Work and Get Famous. Del Sol Valley is sooooo disappointing and there was so much potential. Get to Work has some fun gameplay, but it just kind of messy as a whole.
I'd say Cats and Dogs and Seasons had a decent blend, but still lacked as a whole. Brindleton Bay is stunning, Build/Buy is amazing, and there was good gameplay between being a Vet and having your pets. Seasons was pretty similar, even though it didn't have a world, build/buy was really nice and the diverse seasons are pretty cool. That being said, Seasons in every game but TS3 is rather passive. There isn't much to actively do besides the Holidays once a week, and even though weather is always present, it doesn't feel like an "addition".
I want to know what everybody thinks because this discussion is pretty cool =). I honestly feel that Game Packs are standing out in TS4 because they give some niche gameplay and items, with a good bang-for-your-buck.

I love this new world. Right now I'm studying really hard for an upcoming exam, and after that I want to buy this pack as a present for myself. I'm thinking to get it in a bundle with Strangerville and I can also add in a stuffpack. However i have no clue which one to choose. I've already got Laudry day, but that's the only one. Can anyone recomend one of the stuffpacks that's good?

You don't have to delete dirty objects. You can cheat them to be clean again by right clicking the item and there should be an option to make the item clean :)
