Into the Storm performed by the Pearl City High School concert band during the winter concert. Soloists: Sheldon on PICCOLO (sorry, not flute) and Christine on bass clarinet.
I played this in 7th grade, I play trumpet. We played it at a showcase and in a competition, it was honestly the best song we played EVER. I'm a freshman now. I love this song. You guys did a great job.
I love the bell player! Who ever is playing it is awesome because they played it so loud and the sound is clear. Which is awesome because sometimes bell players don't hit it as hard so the sound is soft.
i remember when i played this in 6th grade i miss this piece so much it so exciting and full of energy and now im a sophomore and this brings back so many memories of great music we played as a band
I just played this song at the end of my eighth grade year. SOOOOOOOO much fun, must congradulate the piccolo and bass clarinet, they were wonderful on the solo. Our BC and I had a really hard time, and it ended up sounding awful. Congrats on the great job!
we did this song last year. they r totally overblowing the slow part. we r a middle school and we played it just as good as them at music usa festival in universal. we got 1st and grand champion 13 years in a row. sjcs band rules!!!!!!
I think the Trumpet section was the strongest part of the preformance. I am playing this song as well and am a trumpet and we dont have a bright sound like this section has. Great job trumpets!
I remember the Hamilton Township Ranger Concert Band doing that song in 2007. It was my freshman year and I was first chair first trumpet. Good job from your friends at HTHS.
I did this with the high school band last year (I was in 7th grade, but was advanced musically) and it was my fave song to play. (clarinet) You guys did really well too!
Omg I did this song in all county! I love it sooooooo much but it was really hard even for bass clarinet. But I was happy but also sad that we did not do it for our concert. D:/:D
I love playing this song. Playing the bass clarinet is the best part of this song. i love the flute/bass clar. solo i do in this song. this song is also a challenge! most of this song for my part is in the high notes, although bass clarinets should usually have the low notes... LOVE THIS SONG.
I think it would have been cooler to have heard this as a full orchestra piece cause I did that at my school district's Orchestra Fest and it sounded awesome
i cant like get this out of my head and we didnt even start playing it yet we gonna rock the house! im so tired of the christmas songs. -_- but yeah did i mention you guys did killer on this?!
Good job! I was going to play this with my band my senior year but they said it was too easy for us :[ I really wanted to play it though! Anyway, You guys sound great!
@SonataEternal i have tried it. lol I've been playing it for 2 years. I adore it so much. recently i had to turn it in because i'm switching schools, and the other school doesn't have any, and a Bb just isn't the same.
I"m in 8th grade band and we play high school music like this and I've been playing this video over and over to get the tempo correct. I'm second chair and I play the first part to this song...and I mean we just got this a week ago and I have been practicing non stop. suggestions for playing sixtuplets fast?
does anyone know where I can get this music? I forgot mine at school and I need to practice it :) I play flute and I absoultely love playing this. Espsecially the high f trills. Our teacher keeps making this joke that we're too loud for once because she usually can't hear us.
I'm first clarinet and we just got this a week ago and we can't even play it up to tempo but out band Director is going to get Robert W smith in himself to help us no joke😂 so exited
I'm playing this song with a band outside of school, it's a mix of students of grades from 7-11 and I love the bass clarinet solo with the flute. :) We play it slightly slower at the beginning since it sounds a little muddled when it's too fast. Amazing job though on the performance. I found that the percussion came on a bit too hard though, I could barely hear the melody. :/
playing this song in band #teamClarinet everyttime we get to that part at 0:35 and when we come in, I have the urge to start belly dancing or something O_O
well typed Hime, but actually i kinda like the sound at least of the sax part at the woodwind 'fanfares' around 1:08. I'm a trumpet player though, what do I know? :P
i still remember this song by heart, i played it in 8th grade i am now a sophomore in high school. i would have liked to hear the alto saxophones in this though
I played this in 7th grade, I play trumpet. We played it at a showcase and in a competition, it was honestly the best song we played EVER. I'm a freshman now. I love this song.
You guys did a great job.
Im a freshman in band and we are gonna rock the theater with this song! Dunwoody High School FTW
I love the bell player! Who ever is playing it is awesome because they played it so loud and the sound is clear. Which is awesome because sometimes bell players don't hit it as hard so the sound is soft.

great playing..played this at 6th grade band camp in like 97..didn't expect a high school ensemble to perform such a elementary piece of music tho
I remember the Hamilton Township Ranger Concert Band doing that song in 2007. It was my freshman year and I was first chair first trumpet. Good job from your friends at HTHS.
