You don't have to smell unique and different all the time :) Let's just say you smell unique and special MOST of the time, but if you love CM so much, why not have a little bottle of it there for the days when you crave it? Just wear what you love 💕
Glad you said something about Crystal Noir. One thing to notice though...if you got the EDT it smells almost exactly as the EDP; however, it doesn’t contain coconut. After a short time the EDT starts smelling like bug spray to my nose and even other people tell me I smell like Raid. I tried the EDP and it is a completely different story. All the notes marry each other perfectly, the coconut is creamy and rounds out the rest of the notes. It is a love for me and I got a backup bottle. Just wanted to mention because it makes a huge difference on some of us. It could be the ph or the EDT formulation but those that say they are both the same are wrong in my humble opinion. I hate the EDT with a passion but absolutely love the EDP, which lasts ages by the way and have a breathtaking trail. A compliment getter for sure. Thanks for your channel! I recently discovered you and I’m in for the long run with you! 🤗
Really? I love the EDT version over EDP. Smells so good on me. In EDP I did not get the coconut on my skin, but in EDT the note exploded. The greatest complemented fragrance of my collection, men and woman, ask me all the time about it, everywhere and anytime I wear it. Definitely, each PH is different.
I also "cleaning up my closet" last week. Can't handle, Lira by Xerjoff, L'interdit Rouge YSL, Mancera Jardin Exclusif, JHAG miss Charming. So yeah i gave them away and i sold my Lira. It's what you said, if you not really feeling it! Why wearing it!! Much love from Amsterdam, love your video's 😘
Not gravitating towards perfumes that smell like perfume makes complete sense, and I’m the same way. That has actually been my issue with the only two Gucci fragrances I’ve ever tried.
I know this is an older video, but, if you haven’t tried it already, Jo Malone Dark Amber and Gingerlily is a good alternative to Crystal Noir. I have the same issue of getting sick of it quickly even though it’s lovely, and the Jo Malone is a bit softer and refined - not so in your face.
I wonder if something was wrong with the Oud Bouquet sample you had. I have both the new formulation and the original. The original is syrupy, (the new formulation is far better). The new formulation shouldn’t have ANY “alcohol” smell, and since you had an allergic reaction, it seems something was probably off with the sample. Not sure where you got it, but wonder if it could have been counterfeit. You might want to retry a sample of OB, clones just can’t hit that mark.
A good scent to try if you want cardamom and vanilla together is Atelier des Ors Lune Féline. It was a love at first sniff for me, and I gladly shelled out the dough for that beautiful 24K gold flecked juice. Very unique, super long lasting, very warming.! It’s the kind of gourmand I love - yummy but not straight up food, it needs to still smell like perfume. And this one absolutely does.
I really appreciate the nuanced way you describe scents and your feelings about them, as I'm also extremely picky with what I wear. You don't often hear people talking about fragrances they think are beautiful but have like one off note that ruins the whole composition for them, the texture of a fragrance, or how they might enjoy a fragrance certain days and not others. By the way, as a fellow sandalwood lover myself, I'm curious to know what you think about Milky Musk 39 from Parle Moi de Parfum.
Thank you! I'm so glad it's helpful ❤️I've never heard of that one but I just looked it up and it looks lovely!! Have you tried it? If you have, I'd love a mini review 😁
I had a sample of Crystal noir and had the same thought as u first smelled it. “Omg it’s so unique and amazing.” I almost bought a full bottle but luckily I played with it more on my skin. And I also got ANNOYED! I don’t know why. The coconut doesn’t smell good on my skin and I didn’t have a good mood after putting it on.
@@christinebianchine1187 I can wear any perfume anytime. When to wear a perfume is just preference really. Wear whatever you want, when you want and as much as you want 😊 there are no rules. People just prefer to wear less sweet fragrances in the summer because they find it too heavy or cloying. I haven't met a fragrance strong enough yet. I want to creat a large silliage of sweetness 😍
@@christinebianchine1187 yeah a lot of people are like that. Some because they really find certain perfumes cloying and some because they think its a rule, which it isn't. It is a very dated/old school thought to think like that. Nothing bothers me like that or is too strong so I guess when people say you can only wear a certain fragrance a certain time of year I think "why?" Lol im a anytime, any season, over spraying kinda girl lol but with that comes loads of compliments 🥰 all the time. At work im the girl who smells good to my customers 😌 I take pride in how I smell
Yep, I never thought I'd say this, but my time with Coco Mademoiselle is definitely over. I don't know if I outgrew it, I started to feel it was too bright and on a high note, and my personality didn't match. My "new Mademoiselle" is Chloe Nomade Absolu,, and I'm deliriously happy with the swap, and I also get more compliments than I did with Mademoiselle.
I also have a full bottle of crystal noir and hate it! Also gucci bloom, same with dolce and black opium! I love black orchid, but the last time i got it from fragrancenet it didnt smell the same as the one I bought at sephora ... so it ruinned it for me
On thé topic of sandalwood, have you ever tried Afinessence Santal Basmati ? It’s a beautiful sandalwood scent with a note of basmati rice. Also Atelier Materi has Santal Blond (I just got a fb), beautiful sandalwood that’s just a hair sweeter that’s the other one . TF Santal Blush is an OG and I had a bottle but for some reason just never wanted to wear it. I think once I started sampling all the other available options out there, it started to smell a little too simplistic to me. There wasn’t enough there to keep me reaching for it. But it’s beautiful and pretty straight forward.
When you talked about decluttering Coco Mademoiselle I was sad for you 😢 😂 I have really grown to love that fragrance, and it’s actually one I reach for in situations where a non offensive, mass pleasing fragrance will probably be best.
Angel Nova, is so nauseating sticky to me. I am decluttering that one as well. The performance is out of this world, but when the scent is so extremely cloying, it is actually not a good thing :/ I have Delina, Delina Eclusif and Carolina H. Very Good Girl, and they all have the sophistication I think Angel Nova lacks.
For sure, I can't get with anything cloying even if the scent is great, and I also agree that those other fragrances have more complexity than Angel Nova!
This was very helpful! I have the Be Layered dupe for Cassil and assumed it smelled the same as PDM's. It's nice, but nothing special and I rarely reach for it. Now I want to sample the real Cassili to see if it is worth the splurge; thanks for this review!
Best oud bouquet version is Kayali sweet diamond pink pepper! It has literally replaced my love for oud bouquet. It’s sweeter (that kayali vanilla base!)
I prefer the angel nova down delina the hype on delina I can't stand it I travel to Holland and I try delina I don't like it at all so I prefer the angel nova
I totally need to do a declutter! Fragrances are far too expensive just to let them sit! Hahaha the Coco Mad comment…yes!!! I still have mine but have not touched it for a long time bc if how popular it got. I did just get coco noir and that is ❤️❤️❤️ too!
Omg so funny about smelling like Macys w Coco Mademoiselle 😂😂 I had a male co worker follow me to my office to let me know I smell like his wife !! I stopped wearing ever since but it’s beautiful!!! I still have it and wear it to bed lol 😂😂
I totally understand why you got rid of Ellie Saab Le Parfum. I love the way it smells and its beautiful but I just couldn't wear it. So I got rid of it as well (:
I have watched a few of your videos and I feel annoyed with the same perfumes as you! Same feelings with un bois vanille wich I have blind bougth because of youtube opinions and end up decluttering...I have subscribed of course, so real and accurated 😉
Girl, I’m the same with D&G Dolce garden, like, I love it, but there is something a bit off…maybe it’s the yellow florals for me too 😄 Ps. You need to do a full collection video :)
Fig note doesn't work for you, Elie Saab Le parfum intense disturbed you for some reason, Crystal Noir annoyed you.. well.. I have no choice but to hit the subscribe button as it seems we have a similar nose 😇
Can someone give me some perfume recommendations? I do not like floral scents. I prefer "food" or "sweet" scents. I’ve let go of a few these and some I just can’t, even if they’re popular. Like Coco Mad 😂 but I totally hear what you’re saying. Can’t wait for part 2 👀

Coco mademoiselle intense is way more modern than the original. Intense version is superior with more vanilla and less flowers, its perfection.

I have! Unfortunately it’s not quite “me” but I love the smell! Like you said, very unique and it’s very well done!
Try voyage Royale - the conquerer EDP it is almost identical to oud bouquet. Best dupe I’ve found

Elie Saab le parfum and the intense both were sooooo sharp to me. 😩

I've tried that one! It's not for me personally, something pulls gummy candies on me?? LOL, but it's definitely a beautiful fragrance!!
@Anne Lauren I Don't like it either because I don't like oud bouquet , I gave it to my husband😁
