The new firmware v5.0 update dropped. But, unfortunately, it came with a lot of issues. I should have waited, but, I was anxious for the Shutter Speed addition. As soon as I updated my FX30, the camera popped up a note saying that I could not record in 4K DCI unless I used a CF Express card. The problem is, I was recording in 4K DCI with my v90 SD cards with no issues at all. Suddenly, with the update I can't. Makes no sense. Someone else reported their AF not working while recording. Either way, I will have to wait for another update to fix these issues. BTW, earlier today, I chatted with Sony online and told them about my 4K DCI issue. They acknowledged that it shouldn't be a problem. They suggested I reset my camera back to factory defaults. Which would not remove the v5.0 update. Unfortunately, resetting the camera did not fix the 4K DCI issue. Hopefully, they'll drop a new update soon and fix these issues.
