We had a Traxxas Xmaxx, Losi DBLXe, Arrma Typhon & an Arrma Kraton 6s during this bash session. The WLtoys took more abuse than all of them!

The new WLtoys 144001, it is awesome! I think it's the Best WLtoys out there. Handles so well with the big bore all alloy shocks and 550 motor with plenty of power.
WLtoys A959-B Vs WLtoys 144001, and there is one clear winner! Not as fast, but better in every other way!
Possibly the new best budget RC out there! Not as fast as a Traxxas Xmaxx.... but kept up well! And jumped as well too! No it's not as good as a Traxxas, but it's the best cheap RC 2019 for sure!

@@TomleyRC You're gotta to admit it none of us expected this bold move from Wltoys.They're already extremely popular as a cheap entry to the hobby. If they continue at this rate they'll take over all the selves in RC stores.
yup, its "pro built" RTR if ever was one.
Wltoys is really picking up the speed, but this 144001 is just a copy of lc racing and they wont be a full competitor to brands like traxxas and arrma before they design the cars themselves.
@@Gamleprofil Copy or not. They're making the noise and not restricted by international laws , traxxas needs to stop bullying RC firms with lawsuits otherwise they'll soon sink themselves with the rise of the Chinese brands.

Yes, the 144001 is still hard to beat for value for money
My front Diff shock tower mounts snapped off in a high speed crash into a car wheel. I have had three crashes since then and all I do is use all plastic adhesive to fix it up. Legit works so well. Just have to avoid direct contact at high speed with shock tower.
There is no way on this earth or the next that my Mini Erevo could take that sort of abuse with out breaking! Wow what a tough little RC!😁👍

I have a brushed 144001 on the way and I am excited to try it out. I've watched enough of the Tomley RC videos to have "WL Toys" fever :D I have not bashed or buggied or short course trucked in ages... I'm a crawler and drifter. But, I recently got into the WPL kits and have fallen back in love with the RC world and these smaller affordable rc! What an amazing time to be into rc for the first time or again :D 🌮
Got mine yesterday and let it run two batteries worth over dirt and gravel. Hadn't had so much fun with a car in awhile! Nothing broke. What you must do before running is grease the diffs. Many here on youtube recommend that and it's true. Hardly any grease out of the factory. And, you should tighten the wheel nuts after every battery. Some have lost their wheels.

i had a similar run with mine at the skatepark, bit less abuse and broke the top off the shock (and bent tower), cheap fix but ended play. Love the thing though, so good to blast about.

@@TomleyRC actually i was mortified to find the shocks were £5 EACH haha ... i dont really want more plastic top ones so having a go at another set with some oil in.
How would it stack up against the losi mini8? I think my mini8 would outlast it and its brushless.. good vid😊😊

I was looking into mini8 also, but for the price of mini8, you will upgrade this to full aluminium, metal geared, metal servo, 60A brushless, flysky GT5 radio setup.

I bought 2 and has to completely disassemble and rebuild to even get it to drive. Motor was so tight to the spur it was locked up. I had a bad experience with these. I can even hear the dry grinding diffs on yours. Mine were dry. Enough bitching, great video!
What camera are you using the picture quality is the best Ive seen In a RC video hands down? Color accuracy is over 90%
GoPro Hero 7 Black. I am quite picky with my settings and do try to use the correct settings for the type of video I'm doing..along with what the weather is doing as that's actually more important than most things. I think a lot of people just turn it on and point and shoot with no real thought. Rendered as high as possible in 4k as well...but TH-cam zaps the quality massively unfortunately. Thanks for noticing :)

I know this question isn’t for me but, I have a Feiyue fy03h and the differentials and main gear boxes are horrible- won’t last 2 batteries worth before they start to grind and crunch

i did like wltoys but after my steering servo went in the fast 2000 i replaced it with genuine and now steering is reversed and just cant get on with it, great video

The body of the 12402a is a bit fragile for extreme bashing
Mine should arrive next week. We'll see how long the electronics last before they get switched with a 3300kv.

Speed is fantastic, but a front wheel broke off on my first run when I touched a curb...
I've yet to brake mine, although not hit anything to hard yet... apart from the floor!

Is a shame that the one I ordered stopped working after the second run (I guess ESC is broken somehow)
I crashed mine into the tire of a parked truck tire came off and the dogbone was bent
Just got one 3 days ago it's very fun and if it dose get damage u just pop it back together and good to go I love this car it jumps drifts and is very responsive just like the video if a shaft bends just straighten it a bit and again good to go I notice too about the 5th charge the batterys power is extended and the life seemed to grow a few if not 5 mins since its first charge .
Did any one notice this ?
They are fun. Can't say I noticed a difference in run time though.
It might be normal that lipo batt is forming after 5 charges
I found a weakness the diffs tho they are metal it's a soft metal just lock it up with job weld or something similar I tryed sticky tack it lasted a day so I cleaned it all out with wd 40 n used hot glue ....lasted 4 days so use jb weld unless u know of something better beware locking them will shred ur tires lol

Mine broke really easily the rear end
Not for too long, this equipment will survive until someone learns how to drive .in my test of wltoys 12402 the weakest point was the plastic body, which suffered a lot already on the 2nd day of testing and this is not on offer and yoy cant buy it separately ... You need to do reinforcements in the places of impact until the chassis is left alone and you will have to buy a second model.However, the 12428 is armored, I have it 4 years over and it is indestructible not like that new ones..

Mate, I LOVE that car but I don't like very much metal chassis... when we hit hard they tend to bend and "take alot of parts with it"...😅 ... but I become very surprised with the "final output" of that shredding session...🤔 it seems he didn't "move" to much... or not at all...🤔👍👌

me too .. mine broke after only 3 battery the front cup keeps breaking every 5 - 6 runs .... i just start thinking the rc companies maybe they send a moded version of theye rc car to the youtubers to reviews
