- Hey guy welcome back! Today we are going to clean and lube this centrifugal clutch! I hope this helps you out with your own clutch!! I used high temp bearing grease for lube in this video. A fine film of oil would also work and my even work better!

Good video👍extends the life of the clutch😎have a good weekend 🥂🇨🇦
Great info!
Great tutorial
The slip wear area on the shoes is too large. Should be much smaller than that.
Bronze bushings should get oil but if grease works for you then great.
Slip wear area? What is that? Also I've always used high temp grease on these clutches and never had a problem
@@nicsminibikes You could see the slip area on the shoe at 1:41 in the video. It's slipping on more than half of the shoe. Should be about one third. Just going by what the guy who runs Max Torque Clutch has said. Naturally they slip until full engagement.
So the slip area it seems would be a higher spot on the shoe touching the bell first. If it's a higher spot wouldn't that be the only spot touching the bell even at full engagement? Max torque knows a million times more than me but just thinking threw how it works unless the shoe or bell deformed at full engagement wouldn't this slip area be the only area engaged? I have no idea myself just thinking it threw wouldn't more be better?
@@nicsminibikes It is odd but that may be due to the way the spring sits in the shoes. The heavier part of the shoe would make contact first prior to full engagement.
I don't think yours is an issue. There isn't slip wear across the entire shoe. Even if it was I can't see how it would slip at much higher than engagement RPM unless the surfaces got oil or grease intrusion.
Ya I'm not worried about the clutch its a cheap one off Amazon it will work till it don't. That's why I take them apart and do the light film of hi temp bearing grease oil will drip and run different places it shouldn't be sooner. To each their own as long as you're riding!
Gave ya a view a like and this here comment to help out the ole algorithm 😂 no hard feelings mate? … ✌️🤙 😁
Absolutely not bud! Thanks!
Acetone works better.
