i m reading that book " why beeing happy when we can b normal, i like it. remains me of road to wigan pier from orwell. no story there but more a reflection about her life and stuff in general. i still prefer oranges are not the only fruit but this book is a good reminder and shows more detail od mrs winterson, and the end of the world ambiance. i think she s a great author not to miss =)
Tha wont be havin problems wi words will ya lass....missed it in its day, watched it (oranges) @ dawn today , good old grim old Accrington, chips are not the only food,I will buy the book and read it in mi car x
The Passion was a life-changer!!! Don't like her taking some credit about how memory works, though...Gore Vidal wrote Palimpsest (a writing OVER, as to how one remembers) about his life...and many have metaphored the peeling away of an onion...so she hasn't exactly told you to watch out for "new" theories
If you have nothing to say, why make youself look foolish in public? She may not be the best, but she has something serious and intelligent to say, and expresses it well. I think you just have an agenda. Anyone who really knows some literature knows there are "writers" not worthy to tie her shoelaces.
My favourite writer of all time. I own every book she's ever written. I've read the cover off multiple copies of Written on the Body.
Jeanette brings her soul wherever she goes. I was looking at the flowers while listening to her.
'Reading is a radical act."...love it, thank you Jeanette, I do concur, looking forward to reading your book.
She' s so strongly genuine. We are reading her in The Reading Experience. Nobody leaves her books untouched.

I loooooooooooove Jeanette Winterson she is creme de la creme.
We see in others what we have inside ourselves. Anyone who dislike Jeanette Winterson if full of envy, has not accomplished much or is very insecure.

Ok, I exaggerated, I just find her style of writing a bit annoying.
Kyle Richmond I've not read her books. What's annoying about them?
Jeanette Winterson is one of the worst writers in history.
