Happy to hear you enjoyed The Cruel Prince :) I enjoyed that series. One of my favourite high fantasy YA series is The Seven Realm series by Cinda Williams Chima which is four books and I loved every book in that series. A standalone fantasy fav is Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik which is great for the the wintery time of year.
It's been YEARS since I read The Cruel Prince and the story still sticks in my mind, which is rare with how much fantasy I read. I was jumping up and down when I saw that you would read it! Highly recommend the series to anyone who hasn't read it yet!
You're making me want to reread The Cruel Prince! I remember listening to the last few chapters while on a run last year, and I had to just stop running for a second and let my jaw drop at one of the twists lol
These reading vlogs are so relaxing! Personally i LOVED the winners curse trilogy. Its very slow burn with political intrigue. There isnt a lot of hype around it but honestly people are missing out!
So I haven’t read either of these series in a while, but I was totally immersed in them when they came out. The Blue Bloods Series by Melissa De La Cruz And The Falconer Series by Elizabeth May
I used to watch your channel a lot before. Visited it today and OMG you do book reviews now!! reading and exercise are two of my most fav thingsss aaahhhhh
Great video as always :) I actually read both books (but a while ago so I might have forgotten some details), and from what I can remember Red Queen does go downhill unfortunately :( Of course this might also be personal preference, but I'm pretty sure I read the second book then skimmed the rest of the series just because I was curious about how the characters would end up. On another note, if you enjoyed these, then I highly recommend Cassandra Clare's Shadowhunters series, or the Rebel of the Sands series, the latter I actually remember devouring in one sitting... oops :))
Fantasy is definitely the best!✨ 🤌🏻 I know you just read the Harry Potter series a bit ago, but that would honestly be such a fun video😂🤍🪄🏰 you could go all out and do some Harry Potter activities and make some of the treats! 🤩 plus I feel like sorcerer's stone is pretty Christmasy😌🎄
Maybe I need to give Cruel Prince another try, I couldn't get into it when I started reading it last summer. I haven't read Red Queen, but I really liked Realm Breaker. Also just finished reading The Bone Shard Daughter by Andrea Stewart, it was so good! Can't wait to continue the series.
I love the brown sweater. I did a thing and decided to subscribe to Premium TH-cam. Now you aren't being interrupted by annoying ads mid sentence, and I can go back to other trainers.
This was a great video. Yes I remember why I was hesitant about Red Queen, it was because of the reviews of the rest of the series. The premise does sound interesting though. Do u think it would be ok to just stop at the first book? 🤭🤭 As for The Cruel Prince. I had read it a couple of years ago but didnt enjoyed it as much you did. 😅
I do not recommend wasting your time finishing The Red Queen. I liked the first book. And I had high hopes for it as the premise was interesting. But the rest of the series really ruined it all for me. It has been my worst disappointment of 2023. As an alternative series I would like to recommend Snow Like Ashes.
i disagree, i really liked the series as a whole and so much more is happening! However, i see how some might not enjoy it as much since the author apparently is really into describing war scenes, so at times this made the books have lengths. But i would still recommend it!
HEY BOOKISH FRIENDS

Fantasy is definitely the best!✨ 🤌🏻

I’ve heard realm breaker is better than red queen!

I’m going to try the second just because I’m curious. But haven’t heard great things 😂
@@jaimefok 👍🏻 i might just pick it up too as you have definitely piqued my interest with the whole hunger games/ouabh vibes.
