Thank you for the video. Re marking dark fabric I have used removable ¼ Avery dots. They will generally hold long enough to serve the purpose. Thank you again
I'll be honest, we have a mutual friend on fb and you said earlier today you had these videos and I immediately looked you up. I'm kinda excited. I don't have a projector to use, but I have thought about it ever since I say another TH-camr use the projector method about 2 years ago
When I get more time to craft it will be high up on my list. I have 3 kids roughly between 5-2 years old and I'm struggling with chronic issues, so unfortunately I don't get to hobbies anywhere near as much as I'd like, but maybe that will change soon? I have an old Bernina that my mom got me for my last birthday itching to be used. That, my surger, 2 spinning wheels, and my vinyl cutter, that are all itching to be used. With winter approaching I'm also getting into indoor gardening this year
Absolutely grainlines matter. The format of the pattern doesn’t affect grainline. I’m not sure what you mean, though. Do you mean I was super, super precise (true!) or do you mean something else?
Just rewatched, you can see me adjust to the grainline a couple of times. I knew this fabric and pattern didn’t need absolute precision. But other times, you need to be much more precise! I don’t know if I have it on video anywhere, but I have certainly spent time precisely lining up a grainline, using magnets to hold my fabric, and cutting just so.
@@DaileySewsStuff ok. I’m drowning myself in information re projector sewing!! Your videos are great and helpful. I guess I didn’t catch the aligning the grain lines. Sorry.
Mostly just didn’t feel like I needed it with this fabric/pattern. They are loose, flowy pants so absolute precision wasn’t necessary. Probably would’ve helped with the pulling, though! When I need them, I have magenta and a piece of sheet metal under my mat to hold my fabric where I want it.

Great tip! I’ve taken to using post it tape but that’s a great idea!

Hi, which program are you using for your patterns please
I this video shows Adobe Acrobat Reader, the free version. But also now the “old” version!
You didn’t seem worried about placing your fabric on the grain lines marked on the pattern. All those grain lines still apply in projector sewing?

@@DaileySewsStuff can I ask you a question about opening an adobe file here?
Where are your seam allowances?
To be honest, I don’t remember what pattern I was even cutting! Could be anything from 1/4-5/8” depending on the pattern.
You don’t use pattern weights, any reason?
