    Great clip! Do you have more information about the tension rod clamp? The link won't work for me. thanks

      That’s odd! I’ll check the link! Thanks. Any tension rod will work. I use a curtain rod, then a clamp mount like this one: amzn.to/49tFgsq

    Is there any websites that you’d recommend for renaissance patterns? Or a way to transfer uncut patterns to digital files?

    • @projectorsewing
      @projectorsewing  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’d check Etsy, as they should have several PDF renaissance pattern options. However, I don’t have any experience with specific companies.
      You can trace paper patterns into digital form, but it’s a longer process.

    What are some good sites to use for pattern alterations?

    • @projectorsewing
      @projectorsewing  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you are wanting to make your own pattern alterations, you can use Adobe Illustrator, Inkscape, or Affinity Designer to edit pattern files. If you are looking for companies and programs that offer customized patterns, you can check out this article: projectorsewing.com/made-to-measure/

    Hi! The niche mount you recommended is out of stock, are any other sizes compatible with the Akiyo model? It looks like the vankyo small mount should fit it based on their dimensions.

      Yes, unfortunately she is closing doors for now.
      The 3D printed mount is available in my store and fits the recommended model. projectorsewing.com/shop/

    What is the highest it can be mounted & still be in focus please? I have very tall ceilings

    • @projectorsewing
      @projectorsewing  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I wouldn’t go more than 9ft between the projector and your cutting table. If you have really high ceilings, you can get almost any projector and have a good image size though! Or just mount this projector from the wall closer to your table if you need.

      @@projectorsewing thank you. That's handy to know. At the moment I've got a UST, but was wondering about this as a possibility.

    Hello madam teacher. My question today is: I decided to use my desktop for sewing using Affinity Designer. My desktop only has one HDMI port which is issued to my monitor. What are your thoughts on the DVI to HDMI connection to my projector? I have an Epson ultra short throw.

    • @projectorsewing
      @projectorsewing  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hmm, it’s possible that the DVI to HDMI could work. I haven’t tested it to check for aspect ratio issues. Sometimes adapters cause aspect ratio issues that are unsolvable (squares stretched to rectangles).
      Otherwise, I’d probably go with a wireless connection such as Chromecast or AnyCast added to the Epson ultra short throw.

      Thank you so much. The internet is not very stable so I guess HDMI to HDMI with a splitter.

    Can I sent to this projector downloaded pdf pattern?

    • @projectorsewing
      @projectorsewing  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      All of the projectors need to be connected to a device (computer, tablet, phone) to read and view PDF patterns for cutting.
      Even projectors like the Optoma that can technically “view” PDF files using a USB. Because you cannot type a zoom in nor rotate pattern pieces in these projector PDF viewers, they are not suitable for sewing/patterns.

    Can you use any pdf pattern with this??

    • @projectorsewing
      @projectorsewing  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yes! It’s just a second screen for your computer, so any PDF pattern works. There are also free programs to “stitch” together letter-sized patterns for projecting.

      @@projectorsewingwow didn’t know that existed. What are some examples of names of these programs?

      @projectorsewing  วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@FattiapplesThis is the newest tool that is used for projecting patterns and has a new feature for “stitching” PDF patterns. th-cam.com/video/Z_6y6fl6lWY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=JonO-Or74vCW5AGO
      Another program is called “PDF Stitcher” I have a video and tutorial on that program as well.

    Out of interest the Akiyo projector listed doesn't seem to have WiFi & Bluetooth, but the Yokon one does.

    • @projectorsewing
      @projectorsewing  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The AKIYO does have WiFi, it’s stated in the featured details, description, and title. There is a Yoton model without WiFi, but the WiFi one is listed. Are you by chance outside the US? If so, I’ll check if it’s taking you to a different one. amzn.to/49ysGby

      @@projectorsewing I'm in the UK - I think that's probably it. It's taking me to the model with only hdmi, usb or headphone. There is a link in the listing for the updated model which does include WiFi. It struck me that was possibly not right because you'd mentioned WiFi & said both projectors were the same, so I thought it was worth mentioning in case it was helpful

    • @projectorsewing
      @projectorsewing  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, that’s it. I’ll update it and get links directly to the UK ones! Thank you!
