I have no idea what topic i would like to research( i was told you dont have to choose your research topic right now and you can do that once you’re in school with the help of your professors ). Hi, I hope this is not a silly question. I've read in the application guidelines that they have a preference for applicants with TOPIK certificate and generally applicants who can speak Korean well. I was wondering whether not submitting a TOPIK certificate seriously minimizes one's chances to get accepted? I've been learning Korean by myself and I'm not necessarily bad at it but it's also clear that I'm a beginner in terms of communication at least. I know that a lot of people who apply are proficient in Korean so I'm worried about whether I should even give it a shot if I don't stand a chance. You would check the guidelines to see if your country is available for the embassy track :) You should always submit extra original copies or photocopies that are notarised.

I think I answered quite badly😞.The embassy sent an email to me that they will call me for online video interview at 10:30 am but suddenly called me at 10 am. I was really shocked and I couldn't say what's inside my head because I was so surprised and forgot what to say. (Because it's online system, I cannot know who's finished interview before me and so I find it difficult to know when my interview time would come, I wish the time would be the same as they've said in the email.) 😞 i think i just have to consider this as an experience.

Having a Topik certification would give you an advantage I personally feel! You should just give it a shot!!
