Thanks for covering all of that! Re: clocking that custom brake... All he needs to do (and he may have this already incorporated) is include a shims pack with the brake that the end user can use to install and click the brake themselves. 👍👍
Fantastic video Matt explaining so much as there's so many different options. This has to be the best video I've watched this year. 👏 👏
The ST TRS top rail should be a std feature on the Impact for what the gun costs new. It is the single best add on I can think of and I will not own an Impact without one. They hold the barrel solid in place with the barrel clamp system at the front too- so no more POI shifts from a slight barrel bump, and just adding one to my 30 cal improved the accuracy/shrunk the groups without having to do any other adjustments to the gun which was an added bonus. It made the gun much better balanced as well and the spirit level is a real help in mounting the scope completely level, plus it shows you if you are canting the gun or not.
Matt that's the one major problam when buying a Impact there's so many aftermarket cool things to buy for it that it winds up costing most of us about a thousand or more for a bunch of things that we wind up just having them lay around because we find out that we never really needed the extras and go back to what we had.
You can’t deny the arca rail and butt pad after market options don’t add a decent amount of benefits but I know what your saying

Ugh, ya I agree some are very beneficial. But after you buy the rifle , 2500 plus you could spend 3 grand on different stuff to add on. It's crazy
I'm surprised you did not include STUD magazines. Bearing mounted, truly centered slugs, and a quick load system. Plus the magazine can take the largest pellets.
I am glad you mentioned the Stud magazines. I had not heard of them so I looked them up on youtube. They look great. I ordered one today!
Thanks for showing the range of aftermarket additions, but even better, hearing your experiences with them and the situations in which each will perform best.
Given the rate at which airgun technology is progressing, I do sort of wonder how true it is that the Impact will not be replaced pretty soon simply due to the need for internal developments.
Another great video. If you lived in the states (no caliber restrictions) and could only afford one gun, which would you choose, what caliber and why?
You can turn the rear cap on your shroud and put an oring groove in it to fit your shroud over a carbon tensioner. My research had shown a spacer type shroud tensioner gets really close to the same results with the cost of more bump sensitivity.

I like my Fx impact m3 22 800mm plain and simple light weight for hunting both fx impact mk2 25 700mm don't like all the extra stuff on my gun thanks for sharing bsafe buddy 👍it's a love hate thing for me with both of my fx impacts but they are awesome if you have them tuned and shooting straight I've shot birds out to 220 yds it's insane
Hot tip. To index muzzle devices shim washers are used to get correct alignment. At least in the military armourer world LOL
I'm surprised you did not mention harmonic barrel tuners. is there a reason for this? I have one on my maverick and love that i am able to pick my speed and adjust the tuner to tighten up my groups. other than that, this is an awesome video thank you for all the knowledge and expertise!

Hey Matt, Dave here, the guy who gave you the 3D printed grip at the GB Shooting Show, was wondering when you would include it in one of your vids, HaHaHa! I'm sure you could easily make another video like this on all the stuff you couldn't fit in this one, such is the abundance of items available to us these days, we are so spoilt compared to when I started shooting airguns back in the 80's. You should definitely try out a Tier One bipod, have just purchased an ATAC which is super light and very adjustable for most hunting situations, loving it so far! Keep up the good work mate, and hope to see you over here again sometime? ;)

The over barrel silencer has been around for a while with centre fires my wildcat .22-250 one is like it and works brilliant

does stiffen the gun with the new top rail add accuracy?? does it make 5 or 10 shot groups smaller?
What after market parts do they have for the dreamline, because I don’t see much, yes the dreamline is the lowest in the line up, but it can compete but there’s not much of a selection to upgrade the dreamline….. the bottle adapter could be upgraded , because the threads were out after bottle changes

Thanks Matt! Would you mind telling me in your opinion, what calibre in the FX impact would you suggest is the best all rounder for medium to small game, small pigs down to rabbits or even the odd rat lol. Mostly shooting under 100m for all of this 🤙🏻
I bet he would probably say .22 as most ppl would probably agree there are so many projectiles in different weights and with power upgrades available it’s probably the best all around caliber there’s a channel on youtube where a guy hunts coyotes with his mk2 in .22 cal it’s all about shot placement but hey I’m not telling you it’s right it’s just what some ppl choose to do with there impacts

nice thing on the double bottle adaptor is that a longer bottle(to be precise two) does not interfer with a shorter gun with big silencer cause the bottles are left and right from the silencer ... a short compact gun but with lots of air for high shoot counts with high power ... with a lingef bottle one needs to mount a long barrel.. with double bottle you can mount shorter or longer barrel without problems
the impact is "Lego for adults" 😅
What about making a 45 degree bracket so you can position your pressure gauges for your impact in the same way as the Panthera?
Hi Matt, the PRS (Precision Rifle Shooting) no longer does the buttpad's for the FX Impact. They only do it for the Daystate, and Brocock and HFT guns.

Get yourself a carbon tube with the same outside diameter and cut it to length
Can you fill your Impact to 300 bar with a new bottle ie700cc.Or do you have to change the first reg?
The cc (size) of a bottle doesn't have anything to do with the pressure (bar)
The bottle can be tiny or very large and be made, designed to operate at, for example, 300 bar or any other pressure.
at about 46:47 you show a small element scope on your “monkey” gun what is this very small scope. It may match a compact Wildcat. Where can I learn more about this one.

The scope is an Element Optics - Immersive Series 5X30 Prismatic Riflescope . Utah Airguns has a couple of videos highlighting the Immersive Series here on TH-cam. What I would like to know is what kind of Scope Cam is mounted on it at 46:28?

It surprises me you didn’t cover anything about carrying the gun, the impact needs a decent sling or shoulder strap. I find I have to carry my M3 by the scope walking round with it all day.

@@josh9465 mine does..sent it back to agents,it came back still leaking ,2x screws missing from barrel tensioner AND gun bent above the mag well so cocking lever jammed back..managed to fire one mag in 3 weeks.
@@josh9465 not from new, but I think I let the rifle sit for too long on only 100 BAR. The rifle hasn't had any more than 1 tin of pellets through it. Australian dealership has changed hands after decades and now I don't even know if there's a dealer who's any good at working on it, add to the fact that the rifle has to flown damn near a 1000 or kilometres away 🙄🇦🇺

Maybe I’m just terrible at Google, but can anybody buy one of those over the barrel silencer/tensioner kits? I tried to Google Hein Frommann, but I can’t find anything product wise. I went for a 700 mm barrel on my impact, and it would be great to not have an additional silencer hanging off the end of it. Why doesn’t he want my money?!

I don't know about the impact but both the MKIII maverick compact and normal absolutely are garbage. I sent them to FX 8 times to fix th regulator from leaking. The wildcat MKI I had before that same situation, hole in hole groups but means nothing when its time to go hunting and u look at ur regulator guage and its down to nothing. Time to RE ZERO, RE chrono. etc etc
