Here's NOON for comparison

  • On the main rack this is exactly the same patch as the video I posted a couple days ago. I simply disconnected the Passive Operator and plugged those signals into NOON. I still feel like the Operator is more responsive & wild sounding, but NOON is a lot more "playable."

    Ah, I was wondering about the NOON sounds. Thank you for this video - I can really hear the difference! The Operator sounded slightly unhinged, and that made it more exciting in some ways. I think the tiny interface would vex me, compared to the open (and attractive) NOON.

      Yeah, I think NOON is a little more tame, but that nice playing surface is hard to argue with.

    I like the sounds & gestures you got outa the error instruments passive operator, but... I think NOON wins this showdown. (insert emoji with cowboy hat here.)

      It's definitely tighter and more controllable. Passive Operator is, as Patrick described it below "unhinged."
