Just wanted to say how much I appreciated this guy's tasteful playing. Good mixture of strumming and lead playing. Very clean - great showcase of the instrument when so many awful demos are floating around on TH-cam. Thank you!
Funny Corona to Ensenada is 3 hours and 10 minutes driving time. At the non-custom side of the shops, it's the same process and materials. Super cool guitars either choice.
The acoustic sounds on the player sound so much better than the American from these demos. Surprised no one has said it outright as yet. Damn that new player version sounds amazing!
With tax you think 1200$ is affordable buddy you MUST be well off or have absolutely no idea what a dollar is, or worth. And dont point at the other that's 2k and this ones only 1200$ if 800$ was the only thing stopping now your the cheap one. Perception is a biatch isnt it.
@@SilverWatcher. First of all, I am not your buddy. Secondly, what I do with my money is none of your business. It appears that you are just a jealous troll. Oh well, haters gotta hate.
Darn, this video is going to cost me. That beautiful demo of that beautiful guitar is rather irresistible. I love the BSB colour, but need to check it out in the flesh. With the range of switchable sounds from the guitar, this is a great instrument for use with a looper pedal.
Let's hope Fender continues this right way and makes even more Acoustasonic but this time under the Squier brand. Fingers crossed for a Squier Acoustasonic Jazzmaster!
I own the Acoustasonic Strat, and think it is a really great guitar, but I predict this will be a big win for Fender. Playability looks excellent, it sounds good and in some ways is more straightforward to use with less of a learning curve. Bring on the Strat and the Jazzmaster.
I love watching coop play. You can always tell a sick line is coming by the small buildup in the face! Haha gotta say, I'd never spend that much on the American one but for sure the Mexican just to have in the stable. For 2000 plus I'd have to go with a strat or telly
Based on the ending, I say Classic Vibe Acoustasonic is where it is at. I just got an early model Godin Acousticaster with LR Bragg module. Somehow, I suspect everyone is trying to reproduce this capability invented in the late 80s with ever more complicated setups, perhaps even Godin themselves. I don't mind, evolution ...
Quite excited! I was initially going to get a Jazzmaster Acoustasonic, but the price was just too high for what I felt I was getting and I ended up with an HSS Texas Tea Ultra Strat for less. Once they’ve released all 3 I’ll be sorely tempted by the Jazzmaster I reckon. The loss of 4 acoustic models won’t bother me too much, I’d rather have a variety of acoustic/piezo/electric than a bunch of acoustics that all sound pretty similar to my average ears.
I own the American version in Jazzmaster. Maybe I'm a little biased but the Player series acoustic tones sound a bit overprocessed to my ears. Plus the extra tones on the American makes it worth the extra coin for my needs. I have plenty of live videos on my channel.
I walked into a shop and found one on clearance for $800. I was making so much fun of that guitar that I think the guy was wondering why I was even buying it. 🤣 But it's the perfect swift army knife for my needs. I was pleasantly surprised how usable it is unplugged for practice.
I should be recieving mine soon, mim hope i like it,here in the caribbean we play many styles of music,so it will be perfect for me,except for Cuban tres the Son music needs that acoustic sound, and Puerto Rico cuarto Guitars,I think they prob will have to work on that, hmmmm I wonder if squire will come out with the acoustasonics🤔
Oh boy, I'm unsure how to react and respond to this.....from day 1 when Fender first released this latest gen Acoustasonic I felt it was a great idea but overpriced and should have started with this Player series level and left it there. Having said this I did purchase the USA Acoustasonic Tele American Flag model (from Alamo Music!) and it is a great guitar, I love. Sure there are differences between these two models but are they significant enough to justify the price difference? I think this Player series will hurt the USA model sales and they should have stuck with only a single series for this guitar. I knew they would do this and it was a waiting game to see how long they waited to do it. We'll likely see more custom versions of the USA model released to keep enticing buyers for the bigger price tag. I will stick with my USA American Flag model, like you said if you going to get one of these get a wild color and what could be better than the USA flag? That Paisely Acoustasonic is not bad because that pattern has history. No buyers remorse here, only a 'I knew it' moment!
I just bought the American $300 off so $1700. I’m still within the return time if I wanted to go this route. To me the lowfi is unusable and I ask why. So is the body pickup and the extra sounds I have worth the extra $500? I’m kind of in the yes category. I’ve watch several reviews of this new and i feel the extra sounds and more versatility of the american is better. Have not really been that impressed with the player vs the american but that’s just my opinion which is --
Being cheaper but $1100 is still quite a steep price but I still wouldn't want one of these. I'd rather just play my Taylor Acoustics when I need an acoustic and my Gibsons when I'm playing electric
Tbh the new Fishman pickups in actual acoustic guitars have so little feedback that you can play them with highgain amps under 20 watt. I play metal riffs on a Fender PM-3 without problems. There is no need for an Acoustasonic in my opinion. I wish there would be a Fender PM-3 made in Mexico or USA. Now I have to save money till I can afford a Martin OM-28.
Sad to say in Malaysia this Tele Acoustasonic cost almost double the selling price in US & Canada, which 2300 USD after conversion. I would rather get a Telecaster Player series and a decent acoustic guitar and cost lesser than one alone. If you wanna get rich, sell music instrument in Malaysia
Man, i don’t like these, and that’s with Cooper’s favourable playing. I’m wondering how the dreadnought setting would sound with loud full tilt strumming. There’s a lot of overlap in what you can play on both electric and acoustic but I’ve never heard an electric sound good when strumming cowboy chords hard and fast near the nut. This is THE thing only an acoustic can do well and the acoustasonic can’t do it imo.
Who said Americans should HAVE to pay 1300 to 3000$ for a good fender strat. Over priced no matter how you look at there products. I'm officially will never purchase another fender product. Saying that I own a American lake placid blue stratocaster so dont say I'm simply to cheap. Other companies are offering more versatility with there guitars, and fender has people paying 2k for a guitar that wont stay in tune if you even look at the whammy bar. Contoured heel but only for 2k. Other companies for 499$ offer far superior performance imo Fender HAS to pull there head out there 3rd eyes. And 10k for a les paul gibson, dont get me started.
Because they have sold everyone they made for a year out if the US factory and now they release these to catch the people who the 2k price point was a little too high.
New Mexican sounds a lot less inspiring, so if you are ok with the compromise and are in a band "who is going to hear the difference live anyway" i would propose, just buy a Variax for a boatload less $$.
It sound nice price $1200 nah, her price $ 900 , thats her value her sound between electric guitar and acoustic? Not to hot, pls dont talk about the material it made from im a carpinter and joiner be trade fender got all by bulk, yet it looks nice,
WOW , Fender , why do you keep putting out these crappy horrible guitars & Alamo, you should be ashamed to claim these are good and cool . These guitars are not a huge hit at all. The American ones suck, much less these imports INSANE

so true Aidan , what a stunning performance and demo
Now we wait for the Strat and Jazzmaster from the Mexico factory.
And the left hand models !
Great demo of both guitars and their various voices! Also, great discussion of the similarities and differences! Thanks guys!

Cooper.. you could make any guitar sound great!
I might have missed it but what does the guitar sound like unplugged.
On the unplugged section of this video, it sounds similar to my Ovation.. Not bad but not like a full dreadnaught.
Great job guys, as always.
The new one sounds neither like an acoustic, nor an electric guitar.. I would have loved to like it !
Great review guys, as usual.... 👍
hoping for a squier acoustasonic
These certainly give hope for that possibility.

Sounds like they also removed the body pickup in the cheaper version? Ahhh.. They covered it around minute 22:00.
Does it have to be plugged in to sound acoustic? What's it sound like when it's not plugged in at all?
Must plug it in

How tapping sounds on these guitars ?
Do American's 4B and 2A sound exactly the same?
