Bobby Knight was not kind to Coach Wooden always seeming to downplay his accomplishments. It seemed like his envy was showing all over his face when asked about Wooden. But what really turned me off was the Indiana alumni, fans, administration, didnb't have the decency nor the guts to tell Knight to shut up!!!!!! Why? We all know John Wooden was a native son in Indiana. Loved the State and wasn't bashful about it. Was a Purdue all american. But Coach Wooden was too principled a man to lower himself in reacting to Knight 's harshment and who was so full of himself. Hell, Knight was a Ohio St alumn.

There's an intriguing documentary about Bobby called "The Last Days of Knight." Really shows him at his worst. Even at the bitter end he wished death to those back at Indiana who fired him, even though they once supported him beyond reason. The sad thing is that he could have been a great coach without the caustic vitriol but that's apparently just who he was and how he wanted to be.
